Yes as firstly it is often outdated, does not include the stuff from this guide that you actually need and if you then try to add stuff from this guide to it you can get conflicts and end up with a bunch of extra bloat. The best pack out there is this one: http://haruhichan.com/forum/showthre...aii-Codec-Pack The problem with packs is that you get stuck waiting for an entire pack update when you need or want to update just 1 thing. I have found that installing everything yourself and doing things the right way simply works better in the long run and you have a lot less problems and installs that are easier to maintain.

Note that if you want to convert 2ch FLAC for sorround in software your going to need to disable madFLAC and use ffdshow instead.

Note that when you use MPC-HC with xbmc you need to set the default output in MPC-HC to be the exact device you want and not the default windows routing option or you will get a constant clipping sound which only occurs when launching MPC-HC from within xbmc.
