I see lately that the server is going upwards, more friendly people and the moral has been good lately on the zombie server, it used to be crap with allot of asses but it seems to go up, most of the time we really have fun, rank seems to be more and more less of a issue FINNALY people are playing like the did before all the rank whoring.

Anyone else noticed, I'm really glad to see some stuff changing to the positive, finally something good worth saying.

Not only that but the attitude of people has changed, where u had generation who only cared about ranks and bullshitted every second about ranks etc now it seems people finnaly understand ranks doesn't mean fk all and really play the game to the fullest.

^ this is where u got to watch out, give them a finger and they take your hand. U should not always give them what they want because then there going to become lazy and complain to other admins that there are admins who just do when they ask, sometimes it is better just not to do what they ask otherwise they will keep bitching about it when u don't feel like it.

Just remember as an admin you are not there to give them their demands, you are there to keep order and remove rulebreakers. I suggest not giving in to outrageous demands, such as constant map change, or you will lose everyone.

I'll be honest, I think Omega and Bob are some of the "better" admins who do a good job of helping create a friendly atmosphere. I try my best to do the same and be friendly (per my post in Omega's other thread about admin conductivity). But indeed, good to see people actually have fun.

Sounds like a real skewed idea of the ideal admin. If I can't have both, I rather have an enforcer than a "fun" admin. Fun can go hand in hand with adminship, but it isn't your primary concern to be generating "fun;" especially those involving admin commands.


Also... would rather have admins that know their legalities well and know how to do their paperwork. Only then could you even consider patting your back for doing your job.

You need to have feeling of what is going on, enforce when needed but not everything should be black and white as the situations aren't not always black and white either. If you can create a space to play with but still give people clear view of how the rules are and work on the server people know what they can and can't.

Honestly, the community has had a steady bump of decent play in this server. Help's we got some old heads back in the game as well.

I mean as an admin I try. I usually come on to play and monitor. Try to help players out and provide friendly advice whether it be player or fellow admin. Give no mercy to the
douchebags who fuck shit up. Kick and slay the idiots who cadebreak constantly. Mute the
idiots who spam nonsense all the time. Talk to the players, see what's up.

Socialize you know? Be friendly to the players, they feel welcome, they come back to play
more, you get more regulars.

Simple as that. :)

The only issue with this is that since all the kids are gone, the servers are slightly more empty.

Maybe one day I'll pop my head back into ZM when I'm not completely burned out on CSS/CSGO
