Other/reason in the nuke demo that either brett or someone saw theres the thought that i hack because Mr. Funny had his mic on mic lock and i guess you cant see it in the demo but thats why i could see him as a vaga. otherwise, if i hacked and I wasnt that dedicated to ibis you really think i would try this hard

He never uses his mic during those times, sourceTV records all mic input even if hes not talking, but hes not talking. I say ban was correct.

i its says some thing about vconfig.. and then hl2.exe stops working
i dont know if it was just something that was working for me but it was showing his little mic thing above him while he was in invis mode on my screen

I understand but unless you have a demo of his mic locking and showing up your getting permabanned for good. The sourceTV demo is spot on and he is not using his mic. I watched the demo because it was hard for me to believe you was cheating but low and behold you are.

Your best bet now is to get Zero's confirmation that SourceTV can indeed skip that as I've seen when people had the mic over them when they were not talking BUT everyone was able to see that and I'd assume it would appear on SourceTV.

i hope so man, i dont know if it just happened to me or something,, but i swear on my fucking life man there was a little mic emblum over his head as a vaga at nuke last night, cause i played as a shadow hunter for that exact reason. ive seen it before to, and i just though his shit was fucked for that map cause it was good the next map. GODDAMNIT ughhh

A: he is terrible

B: the mic thing has happened before, its something that glitches out, giggles didn't need to be talking at those times for the mic to pop up all he needed was to have talked at some point and then glitched. It similar to when the models start to disappear on your screen before a game crash, its a user glitch so its unlikely the server demo would show it, polar would need to of had his own demo.

Also, if polar is telling the truth it should be easy to see in the demo

1: is he seeing giggles through the wall or just when he is in open space
2: is this only on giggles or anyone else?

If its just open space and just on giggles, it supports the glitch reason

I know... This is why I'm giving you a benefit of a doubt. I've seen you play before and didn't suspect anything whatsoever and it's just that you had those few EXTREMELY bs kills.

This. I've seen it before, although it's not completely common, it does happen every now and then. If you could get anyone from that game from either them to confirm that they've saw it, that would be really helpful for your case.

Honestly speaking spasm i have had this same problem as well. I have seen i happen on fluffy before , and on omega, rambo and checkster before...

I THINK i have a screenshot or demo of that occasion because it just felt weird. Im not rly in on how steam works, but u know how sometimes playermodels get stuck and u see them in spawn or wtvr and they kill u while invisible? Its because the player data is outdated and frozen...

This MIGHT be a reason as to why a moc would appear on his screen buy not on sourcetv demo, think of it as corrupt data, and since source tv eliminates lag and corruption and makes it live, i wouldnt be surprised if polar did in fact see the mic on and not see it in steam....

Zero has to weigh on this feom a programmer's perspective.

I'll try to see if i still have that old data but it's on my back up hard disk at home along with 50 gb of demos.. Gonna take a while...

not saying he isnt hacking , i dnt even know the guy too much,. But it IS Possible what he said. It happened to me on my screen, i told them their mic wasnt working, and i assumed omega was drunk that day, as opposed to a glitch.

Edit: btw i saw glith happen on nuke and on italy. On italy i always get playermodel glitches too, once every week... Just saying.

wow. i've seen it too. can't believe none of us caught this. for future reference, if that's what's going on then you need to say something about it, as not doing so and getting kills because of it is technically exploiting a bug, not to mention that ACTUAL wallhackers/esp-ers could use this as an excuse. for this time since obviously this situation is not well-defined, i would have to say unban, but this may need to be addressed in the rules so this sort of thing doesn't happen again.

ya i've had this glitch to the extreme.... for me he was talking... then went to spec for afk, got booted (said unconnected the whole time) and resumed after he rejoined. i didn't hear a word and it was obvious that no one else noticed because they didn't comment...

This past weekend something similar on nuke as well... One of the ct's, don't remember who it was lol, just remember that he used his mic a lot and got really frustrated during that game, thanks to three "best friends" lmfao...

Later in the game, he stops talking entirely but I notice that his name on the right and the mic over his head doesn't disappear. No one says anything, I didn't say anything because I thought he was purposefully doing it to annoy us in his frustration. The name on the side didn't even flicker on/off when he was moved to spectate and later kicked for being afk. All that changed was that the blue box around his name became grey, and when he was kicked, his name became unconnected. When he reconnected and joined ct, it reverted back to his name and we all continued playing without much a word.


Would like to hear some knowledgeable insight, as I'm sure we've gathered more than enough personal experiences lol
