as most of you likly know. new york city, nj and long island were hit by a hurricane last week.
some of you know me, and know im from brooklyn, area called sheepsheadbay.
my area is split in 2 halfs now. the north side is fine, south is a warzone, along with the areas next to me, gerretsian beach, manhatten beach, brighton beach sea gate and the famous coney island,
all of these areas have been ravaged. my house and family are unhurt or damaged, but ALOT of my friends who live just a half mile away, have nothing left... its crazy...

some of you know im a photographer. as per Zero's request, im posting the photos i got from the area.

this storm was unreal... as i said me and mine are fine, but some cousins out in lng island lost everything

the storm also wrecked staten island, and new jersey pretty much got raped anywhere close to the shore line...

- reguards from nyc.

welll havnt seen whitebread in a week. gas is hard to find and when you can its like 5 a gallon... but otherwise all is good for me... as i said walk for 5 minutes and its like going to a 3rd would country, no power water or gas...

out in queens a area called breezy 150 houses burned down. and dozens more were washed away...

if anyone can even donate - you should find a way to help the red cross or something....
i am luck in terms of being a freelance photographer, i spend alot of my daytime, out in the bad parts helping out people clean

Ive been to Sheepshead Bay, and I will tell you, its nothing of a war zone compared to Breezy Point. Now thats a war zone. Peoples houses lost along with their worldly possessions. My family members alone lost houses down there. I can't even get into Brezy Point without them coming to get me. hats a sad picture.

It's a joke whats going on around here...Varrick Street and Metropolitan Avenue has 10 dollars a gallon the other day.....Looting, Siphoning of the gas (Guilty), theres no respect right now in the streets. Sure people are helping, but people are also being assholes about it.

I've organized at the American Legion a fundraiser and a drive. Right now as we stand, we have over 900!!!!!! garbage bags filled with food, clothes, supplies. We are going to load the trucks I rented for Saturday and were taking it down to Breezy Point.

If any of you saw what I saw, its truly a devastating site. I wanted to cry.

looks like east coast will be hit by a snow storm today/tomorrow. not a big one, but without power/gas it may feel like a horrible blizzard for anyone.
good luck to those without power, stay warm and be safe.
