A new, original sci-fi/adventure anime Suisei no Gargantia (also Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) will be premiering in April 2013. Normally I would brush something like this off, but this show has huge potential and can be the next huge thing that everyone's watching (until we get a second season of Sword Art Online :smirk:). This staff will be working at Production I.G. (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=337):

Kazuya Murata (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=18525) - Director, Original Concept
Gen Urobuchi (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=68860) (Nitroplus (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=1583)) - Series Composition, Script, Original Concept
Hanaharu Naruko (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=71555) - Original Character Design
Taro Iwashiro (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=4527) - Music
Makoto Ishiwata (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=70376) (Polygon Bangcho) - Mechanical Design

Again, this show has good prospect; but it can easily be the biggest flop of the spring 2013 season. Seems like it might (d)evolve (depending on your preference :smirk:) into a harem. I would've loved to see some of redjuice's magic on the art and Supercell's musical talents put to work here (Yes, I'm thinking back and comparing to Guilty Crown, another Production I.G. animation), but I'm not discouraged about the two on this staff at all.

honestly, it looks very interesting.

the mecha design seems to be partially influenced by super robot wars (that mech they show looks a HELL of a lot like the wildfalken)

i can't wait for this one to start airing
