I watched it last week, but my vote is Bernie. /r/movies brought it up as a diamond in the rough, and boy is it. If you haven't seen it, Jack Black is FANTASTIC in it.

I personally suggest the new Halo movie if you all haven't seen it. Well made and perfect for us FPS'ers.

Is there a way for everyone to get on team-speak together so it's actually like being real people and watching a movie together? Also my vote is for Starship Troopers. It won an award for Greatest Movie Ever.

Dont ask lol, and yeah Dredd was far better than most critics gave credit for it.
Karl Urban was a much better Dredd than Stallone. Plus the cinematography of slo-mo was gorgeous. Watching that in blu-ray, shocked the shit out of me. I didn't expect that.
Dredd is the most underrated movie in recent memory.
Also Cloud Atlas was amazing if you are into those types of movies.

See I tried watching Atlas and I just couldn't get into it...was to slow rolling. I usually like those kinds of movies too.

the only reason people liked the first movie, was cause it was so poorly acted and put together that it was just down right funny.... hence it being a cult classic.

I agree. Far to serious for what it really was.

the hell you talking about... it wasn't serious at all... it was a joke... and what it was... was supposed 2 be a movie based on the comic books... dredd is a hardcore mother fucker...

I think its obvious to all that Rob Schneider should have got an Oscar for the original...
He pretty much carried the whole film...

Google hangout might be useful for this. I have not seen Dredd but would be interested in checking it out.
Starship Troopers was another good recommendation. I am going to throw Alien and Sunshine into the hat as well.

I still think it was a poor choice of words, bro-ham.
Nothing was serious in that movie... Nothing. It was basically a comedy.

yeah.... cause it was supposed 2 be a serious movie.... derp? they failed at being sincere... and actually keeping true 2 the storyline of Judge Dredd... and acting good...
do you think when you post, or just post for the hell of it lol:? Dredd is a serious role... just cause it was poorly executed doesn't mean "it was taken to serious" that's just a retarded claim that literally makes no sense.

Seeing as many people have yet to see the new Dredd, and given the "discussion" that has arisen, that'd be my first choice (I've yet to see it as well). Second and third would be Halo then Aliens respectively (should save Starship troopers for a marathon in future?)
Also, do we have a final date/time for this? Cus the suggested last weekend sorta came and went, unless I missed the memo =x. Whenever this does go down, can you post brief login instructions (in case anyone's like me and never uses vent or TS). Much Obliged :wtg:
