They are visually annoying, They can block the vision of someone entirley and can cause lag for people with lesser video cards

sometimes hate em, sometimes love em...but for a server as vanilla as our gg is (compared to others, i.e. no quake sounds, multi-level bonus, etc.) it gives the server some character. i feel like if there were no floating bodies, i'd kinda like it for a bit but it wouldn't feel the same and i'd start to miss them.

+ a fucking million...
not to mention that they also ABSORB BULLETS...
u see someone , about to shoot...
someone dies between u two, bullets conveniently absorved by floating body. u get killed...

Zero, this has been brought up a billion times before... just let the bodies stack on the ground... i cant believe im saying this , but i miss the Gore Mod... u know, as long as it's not cranked up high to the point where it lags ur ass...

Perhaps a vote is in order? Or is this a 'someone likes this feature so go diaf' situation?

considering how many times this has been brought up, i'd say deal with it.

they're not that big of a deal.

edit: though if we swapped them with the old super-gore mod, i would be fine with it. that shit was hilarious.

I don't have a particular preference one way or the other, I was honestly just curious as to why if it has come up so many times and gained no traction what the reason might be.

the floating bodies are irritating for all the reasons mentioned in thsi thread

I gotta say, I agree with Jeb here. I was playing on some shit-tastic servers yesterday while ZERO was kicking ass and taking names getting the servers back up and running and man, I missed even the gore mod that's on the server now. Those satisfying exploding headshots never get old, haha. Super gore sounds like a nice change of pace. :reddot:

Vote? Survey? Fuck-off-the-floating-bodies-are-staying-and-fuck-you? :)

I agree, the floating bodies are causing many issues for example: Blinding Players and Spamming the Console...

So I cast my vote towards getting rid of these terrible floating bodies "character" :wtg:

Maybe ZERO will take notice and remove it in a surprise move while he fixes the lag issues from today?

Perhaps the floating body mod is a mod lovingly written by Zero himself, and thus, they can never be removed as they provide grand amounts of nostalgia to him. :icon_mrgreen:

they have been changed to not float and go away faster.

That adjustment appears to have fixed the console issue. Thanks Zero!:wtg::wtg::wtg::wtg:

Thank you SO MUCH Zero - we TRULY appreciate this change!

We were talking in the server yesterday about why you keep them around. Out of curiosity, what is your reasoning? Was it your personal enjoyment of the mod? Nostalgia? Or perhaps the reasoning is more strategically minded, i.e. you don't want dead bodies on the GG server giving away enemy positions?

I'm just really intrigued. It seems removing them has been a long standing request. :)

The erros longs were fixed by the valve update not by anything I did.
