View Full Version : Maps for lower playercount
I wanted to compile a list of maps that are good when there is fewer players on the server but that still scale well as to force these maps in votes when there is <15 players on the server. These would be maps like zm_atix_helecopter and zm_abandoned_mall
The goal is that by forcing the server to amps like this we can allow the server to fill up to a player count that is better suited for larger prior to enabling those larger maps to appear in votes.

If your going to add shroom forest please extend the time. Every time we play it we need an admin on and sometimes there no where to be found.

ze_shroomforest might be too big for a small amount of players.
If any small ze maps, I would say ze_sorrento, ze_rooftop_runway.
Few zm maps I would say is zm_roy_the_ship, zm_tx_highschool.

zm_desert_fortress_v2, zm_church_of_mint, zm_lila_panic_beach (version one as there is no op room), zm_420_beachstrike, zm_onedega_v3nn I will need to look at the listmaps to find other good small ones.

Sup guys ( sorry i have been gone so long just got back in from off shore) I will take the time to make a list of the best 4-8 player's maps for you Zero, just give me 2-3 days as I am still finishing catch up from me being gone :D
rgr, the plan is to improve the automated voting system so that only these maps show up when there is few players. Also I plan to default the server to something like atix or something when empty. I also want to test out having up to 5 bots join the game and play when there is <8 total players (bots decrease so that they will not be on at all when 8 players are in game) so that very low player count games and even single player can be enjoyed while waiting for more people to join up.

The bots might help keep people coming when its early in the A.M times, If you are going to set the server to shoot to ATX when no one is on (heads up) one of the ATX maps does not work right and i cannot remember what one of the 3-4 we have it was, also since you are taking all this time to make the server have a much better map vote rotation if you want i can also make u a list of all the maps no one ever wants to play so they can be pulled down and new ones added if you would like. Most of the time when we do have a rate this map vote come up most people just 1 spam, thats why i said i will make a real list if you would like just let me know Zero :icon_mrgreen:
Well yea the maps that no one lines need to be posted up in the maps section to be removed so they are cleaned out of the server.

I will work on the list's today of smaller maps for when we have less players for you zero as well as a list of maps that no one ever wants to play ever. Also i have been asking a lot of the players what kind's of new things they would like to see us do, and almost everyone i have done a vote with in game with almost 99% would love to see us add in a freeze G-nade that would last 1-5 sec on escape maps and 3-8 sec on cade maps (that idea we talked about the other night), as well as maybe give zombies some Boost's to make cade maps just a little harder (some of the Ideas maybe we should post votes on the forums for) Poison" skill = Dark Poison -darks all Human players in a 2.5-4 meter area for 6 sec-, Deformed" skill = Legless -Slows all Human players in 3 meter area for 5 sec-, Preditorclassic" skill = Drugward Drugs all payers in a 7 meter area even zombies for 10 sec-, PreditorXp" Skill = Flash -makes all players even zombies in a 3 meter area unable to jump for 3-5 sec-, ClassicZombie" skill = Booster -all zombies in a 3-4 meter area get a +20% speed boost for 8 sec other then fast class they get +5% for 5 sec all humans +10% speed boost for 4 sec-, FastZombie" skill = Pullrope -all Humans in a 2 meter area are pulled 1 meter closer to the fastzombie-, this is just some ideas people have told me about just in passing to spice things up, and maybe just a little more speed to the super slow classes on escape maps. I think maybe we should do a forum voting poll after we come up with some better ideas, this will also bring more new people to the forum from the Zserver because I kinda cry when i see that only 1-3 people who are not admins that play in the IBIS Ze/Zm server even bother to have forum accounts (and I am willing to bet 1 of each 3 had a problem with admin or wanted to just protest a ban or something and thats the only reason they made the forum account).
