View Full Version : Rules question about steps on zm_420_beachstrike_b2

The ZM rules state "Only two people are allowed per tube" and "Only two people are allowed per vent opening". To me the areas under the steps on beachstrike are effectively a vent with two openings which would mean a maximum of 4 people. If one of the openings is caded, the number of people allowed is reduced to 2.

Here are some screenshots of the specific location I'm talking about:

7707 7706

As best I can tell the width of the openings is the same as a vent so to me the rule for this spot is covered by the vent rule. However, the area under the steps is not a vent. If the rules are taken literally, then the vent rule doesn't apply.

Help me out. Which is it: covered by the vent rule or is the number of people unrestricted?

4 People max under the stairs, if no side is caded.
If 1 side is caded, 2 people max.
If both side is caded and someone is in there, well hats off to them for being able to do that in such timely manner without getting caught; but tell them to either !ztele out or slayyyy.

The "it's not an actual vent", that's reading too much into it. The size and proportion is just like a vent and should be treated like a vent.

10-4. Thanks for the feedback.

Wasn't sure where else to ask this so here goes. I was wondering is the water area that leads downstairs on beachstrike still legal to cade? I've seen and read the thread on it but it's been a good year since and rules change with time. Also if it's setup right it can be impossible for zombies to get in. It doesn't take as many people or bullets as you think.

Good question, as from what I can remember, as long as you're not glitching the gate that goes up/down in the watergate area, it's fine. I know it's kind of impossible for zombies to get into (if set up properly with correct teamwork), but if you have atleast 1 or 2 props not set up correctly, it can be broken into. Then you always have those idiots who'll throw a fail nade and blow the rest up.

In my honest opinion, I have never seen it been enforced not to cade in that hallway (since it is not a crouch spot), and since it can easily be messed up, I'd say, go for it.

**and when I mean glitching the gate, no props can get in between the gate going up or down, because this can physically make the gate not move at all**. therefore creating an illegal/glitched cade spot.

Alright thanks for answering :), someone should add it to the ZM rules post to get rid of any confusion.

Currently listed in the legal cading list which is considered part of or referenced in the ZM rules: http://www.ibisgaming.com/forums/showthread.php/5500-zm_420_beachstrike_b2-Water-Area

Yeah i read that thread, just didn't know it was referenced with Zm rules. Also it was from 2 years ago so didn't know if it was still valid.
