Yep so now you got 300GB of combined up/down and then your charged for the rest...

Or in simple text use <300GB or your fucked.

To put in perspective my local server backups and testing servers are 297GB and my 99% compressed copies of the servers log files (yes 7zip compressed txt files(after dl)) are 29.3GB.

Obviously I am still going to have internets but this is total shit and is only occurring b/c of the fucking monopoly that POS comcast has here.

TDS.net has a local monopoly over my home town, it's $80 a month for 2 meg down

can't wait to move closer to indianapolis, gotta get better internets then maybe i'll put up some money for a local web server, dedicated minecraft or TF2 server, haven't decided, but i'll cross that bridge when i get to it i suppose

The Comcast ghost cap has been in effect for 3 years... Usually they only smack the top 10%. Sucks they are starting to go hard. Figured Phili would be first, your area second. Fucking monopoly or "duoply". As long as some shit service is next to them it isn't a monopoly, which is why the state sets it that way for the kick back. FIOS is all around me, but the city didn't accept because they weren't getting a decent kickback unlike the competing counties. So, I chose Comiecast or a shit 3Mb line at most. It's ok though, That's apparently competition and fair market.... LOL. FCC per state regulations needs an overhaul. With all the tech, ISP's are like the new railways competing with oil industries, and we all know wtf happened their. Cell carriers are slowly tearing into this trend, but their data caps and greed are horrendous as well. At least they put a small pressure on the ISP's.
