So my flight back home has been canceled twice now, currently on hold with United. Any suggestions for choice words or phrases to use with the fuckers, at this rate I will miss three days of work and jeopardize this entire quarter.

I am aware that no one I talk to or see had anything to do with it, and I am keeping that in mind, but after my first cancelation I had someone clearly not from this country who was reading a script, which is its own barrel of frustration.

Push for the upgrade in seating and the vouchers and see if they can do anything at the gate or ticket counter. Make them buy you a hotel and a taxi to it if you have to stay the night. Makes for a shit experience but good luck.

you are not the only one shit. Just about every single flight to and from the northeast the past couple days has ben cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

Last time I had this issue I saw the cluster fuck was not going away and immediately rented a car and drove back. If that is still an option it may be your fastest solution. Also I know that rail is a joke in the US but in the North East there may be a train that can get you to where you need to go or possibly far enough to then rent a car to make it the rest of the way.

Upstate NY to Cali isn't the best for rail or car travel, I could have rented a car and driven back by now, but it would cost quite a bit, rail as well.

I switched to us airways, that's what got canceled this time, now im rescheduled for Thursday through charlotte NC. I got some kind of status since I fly so much, never to Buffalo again, fuck this frozen ice-hole

The weather system will pass after today. I'm flying out to NC tomorrow from Philly, don't expect any delays. What's your status? I'm platinum - they tend to fall over themselves trying to help me if I contact them on Twitter. I'd suggest going through there. They DM me right away and hook me up with new flights. Out of the 150 flights I've been on since 2012, they've only left me stranded once (And that was United fucking up, US Air still has a perfect record).

I aint platinum, but I got on a flight going through NC Thursday morning, so the blizzard should be pass and cleaned up by then.

Never using United again though, I've always had good luck with Delta and their subsidiaries, not just being on time, but the size of the planes and what they give you for free.
