Just a thought but maybe there could be a time limit between each radio use. Maybe 10-15 seconds. And also a text spam that if so many entries within a certain time period it won't let them type for a few seconds. Just a thought and I'm sure its been suggested before.

zero? may i suggest something like the "tome" purchasing in wcs? where if u spam chat commands u are told that you are flooding the server after a few back to back posts?


instead of making inbetween cooldowns, because you might need to quickly change radio commands depending on the game flow...

you don't need to ping 8 of them back to back tho, like what currently happens.

Making a mute for 10-15seconds every time someone talks is the stupidest thing I've heard since suffrage.

I am an admin, but to sit there and mute and/or gag people for petty shit is just a lil much. There are things you can use that stop stuff like that. Example if I'm not mistaken PlagueFest has a thing for radio spam, where it only lets you use the radio once every few seconds. There is a few other servers I have played on that have a chat spam protection, that after so many entries it stopped you with a message saying you are flooding the chat or something along those lines. Normally stops you after 3-4 back to back entries within a short amount of time(possibly about 5 seconds.)

Does this automatically gag players if they send too many commands? I used the "go go go!" radio command a few times in a row on one map and now I can't type anything in chat.
