Reason for perma ban: Bhop script

Okay so I saw supermanez (Famous Player #1 ibis.a) ban, and he asked me to unban this dude because he banned the wrong guy. So i did, but after reviewing and doing some more research, i think he may as well be a hacker as well.

1. All i got was bhop scripting from him, but not much because it was only 1 round, and he was "falsely" banned. But around 70K he gets 6 flawless bhop jumps. Now for a guy who has 11.5 hours logged into css, that's pretty damn good.
2. He is direct friends with TheNewDC who also has less than 14 hours logged into CSS. (http://steamcommunity.com/id/MrxMichaelx/friends/)
3. They both join in together, and The Real Doge Core joins CT first, then joins T to be with same team as TheNewDC.
4. Both their IP address locates back to Louisville, KY. (The Real Doge Core - 74.130.4.176) (TheNewDC - 74.128.113.100)
5. Here's the kick, TheNewDC was def caught aimbotting. For sure. Look at his name though. Now look at The Real Doge Core -> TheRealDogeCore (TheRealDC).

It's a shitty way to stick a perma on this guy, but you all know deep down, he probably has the same hack program, neighbor or roomates or something.

ok, it's clear that these guys are friends, maybe relatives. it's clear that TheNewDC was aimbotting. however what we need is evidence of this player, through exact ip correlation to TheNewDC (showing us that the user confirmed aimbotting has access to this account), or through actions in the server, cheating on IBIS servers. one short bhop string isn't enough for that. though we could speculate and say they likely have the same hacking program, without proper evidence we can't perma ban this guy.

Keep him banned. Although I have never played on your server I can say he hacks. I've seen it myself and seeing as another forum agrees I feel he should stay banned so he can't harm you guys anymore.

thanks for the input, but we don't ban people for what they do on other servers unless they're using our community's tag in the process. in tougher cases, we use outside sources to solidify a case against someone, but we keep it mostly in-house and we're only concerned about what goes on here.

i dont want to reopen this thread.

But I already told brett something that i need to post here for documentation, and I couldn't close the thread before i lookup a specific ip correlation that I thought i had on another server's sourcebans ( i was just extremely busy in the last 2 days to make an investigation that might change my original decision to unban, so i put my vote on hold.).

I just want to point out that the guy HAS been banned on other servers by SMAC for bhop scripting. Coincidentally, they happen to be the SAME servers in which thenewDC (other guy) has been banned by the same SMAC for the same bhop scripting reason.

I remember maynard telling me once that if a person is SUSPECTED of hacking, and currently under investigation (open thread), then information about that person from other servers may SUPPORT the ban if current info collected in ibis is lacking or inconclusive. Hence why i was digging up more shit before i close it.


That being said, 4-5 jumps is nothing to ban on, the admin made a banning mistake. If the guy stayed longer we would have had more because if they share the same hacking program, then it should be obvious on him too.

It's fine tho, i already told brett that I am going to vote unban 2 days ago, and I'm sticking to my decision because I couldn't find the ip correlations i was hoping to find on a saturday afternoon. He wont come back, but if he does, it wont be hard to get him.
