View Full Version : !ztele Suggestion?

Zero? Any chance you make !ztele require a 3-5s long CHANNELING activation for it to work?

The main reason why you would need such !ztele is usually when stuck in place, and just like league of legends "callback", you need to be standing still not doing actions for your !ztele to work, or else it interrupts the recall?

I personally think (imho) that such channeling requirement will DRASTICALLY reduce the number of people abusing !ztele to avoid zombie tags, among other exploitation, since it would be impossible to recall without shooting or moving and not get tagged by a zombie during the process.
thoughts?

Some maps does have a 3 second wait for it. Not a bad take, as humans should rarely need to use !ztele unless stuck, which they could wait the 3 seconds.

This should only apply to humans, as making a zombie wait 3 seconds during a point-blank shot can kill them.

You could just increase it to 5-8 seconds for humans from 3. That would probably stop most abusive ztele-ing.

Isn't it always a 3 second delay for humans but instant for zombies? I don't use it enough as a human to know for sure. Agreed on keeping zombies as instant ztele.

Interesting thought on the no movement and no shooting requirement. While I can see it possibly benefiting the illegal ztele as a human, I can also see it causing some issues when encouraging humans to ztele from a cade in which they are stuck. Say a noob is stuck in a cade prop and any shot they fire could delay their ztele, then they may be more inclined to shoot out the cade rather than understand and wait for any extended ztele timelimit. I guess I see it as a double-edged sword: prevent some illegal ztele but possibly cause more cade break problems. When in-game I generally see more cade breaking problems than illegal ztele problems. This pertains more to ZM rather than ZE maps as many ZE maps seem to handle the human ztele in some appropriate fashion.

----------Edit-----------

I think the same potential problem I state above can occur with extending the time from issuing the ztele command as a human to when the teleport occurs.

Making it wait time too long could be a problem too. If a human is stuck and !ztele's but has to wait 5-8 seconds, and a zombie comes at the 4-5 second mark, that can look bad as well.

5-8 seconds is way too long..

Its already on a 3 second timer, just immobilize the person for the 3 seconds so that chasing zombies can catch them easily. If they are using the command properly not being able to move is the issue they want to fix.

That would probably be the best compromising IMO. Second that.

I know its not possible but If you couldn't bind it, that would help out a lot also.

No for zombies Ztele is vital, if u got to break a human cade and a stuck zombie needs to ztele out so zombies can proceed then it is vital to bind the command typing a command is the same a suicide. Also tricking zombies into cades, most know when to ztele but the time u need to type it could be the same as 3k dmg. for a certain zombie classes that means death.

It's fine the way it is. Not like humans zteleing to escape zombies is some rampant issue, especially when they announce in chat whenever it happens. There's a reason admins exist.

I hate, while it has a legitimate purpose, the channeling time for zteleing as a human. For example, let's say the round just started and i'm running to make a cade and some jackass cades it before I can get in and gets me stuck, then I have to !ztele to get out. After 5 seconds I teleport back to spawn and I don't have enough time to get to another cade before a zombie rapes me.

Either share the case or beat him to it next time. Knife out, learn bhopping, make them clutter up while you casually run over to a camp spot. Discover new places... TELL THE you want that spot that round to try smthn, perhaps you might be the first of many that start coordinating orally in game where people are going and defending instead of this general consensus of 'fuck you i'm solo these mofos and die trying... Etc.

Bottom line is, this is veryyyyyy minimal inconvenience that you put yourself into, compared to the benefits of disabling ztele to avoid zombies...

If you were the zombie trying to tag the human, wouldn't u wish for such channel?

NOW, another suggestion would be to disable ztele channel duration Until the mother zombie spawn, since the channel is directly enforced only for zombies benefit.

That being said, zero is a long ass trip, and we should try to keep the low level requests at a minimum because his appearances are cut down to a very short amount for a while, and there might be more pressing matters:)

Gd luck have fun tho, it'll be alright little John snow.
