Other/Reason to unban: Me and RofLoLmao were both given a one-day ban for ghosting, but if you review the demo that Money uploaded to the sourcebans page here (http://www.ibisgaming.com/sourcebans/getdemo.php?type=B&id=11366) at the appropriate tick marks (69k-75k) you'll see that Peter's position is clearly obvious to any zombies in the vicinity as it is a raised platform in the middle of the map and he is jumping around and drawing attention to himself. We simply told the zombies how to activate the secret teleport.

Ghosting, from the official server rules thread, is defined as:


VI. Ghosting
1) When used ingame from same residence
A) When two or more people communicate verbally or via any other means the location and or whereabouts of enemies on a given map
2) When used via Vent ect...
A) When two or more players use a program outside of the game to communicate the location and or whereabouts of enemies on a given map

I don't believe what we did falls under this definition, because (A) Peter's position was obvious and (B) we didn't even specifically point it out but simply explained how to activate a map secret.

Also, would like to point out a day ban for our supposedly first time "ghosting" seems ridiculous and I chose to reveal the platform secret due to Peter and VLK the round prior telling zombies how to get to me. Just let the tick play through from 57000 to 75000. Demo can be downloaded from my ban page.

You both knew exactly what you were doing. While peter's position was visibly evident to other zombies, the method / secret used to access his position was not readily known. You both participated in giving away that secret while you were spectating and in turn exposed peter to zombification. In reference to the previous round, peter revealing your secret happened while he was alive and in-game as a zombie which is entirely different than doing so through spectate. You’ve both been around long enough to know the nature of the rules and abide them. All that being said, I have no authority here, just adding my 2 cents.

Difference was i was a zombie during the time i showed the other zombies how to kill you, in the demo you specifically walked storm threw how to get up to me as well as other zombies while being in spectate hints ghosting hints this (VI. Ghosting

Also being your prior bans you both knew better than to do this witch is why it was a 1 day.

That's all fine and well, but the rules for ghosting say nothing about giving away a map secret that could compromise a living human. How far would you take this reasoning anyway? What if, as a spectator, I told some noob zombies to press E to pull/push a poorly set-up cade instead of just stabbing it like every noob does? Would that be "ghosting" too because you'd be exposing the human inside that cade to being tagged when they otherwise might have been safe? How about the trick to tagging a human inside a green cabinet on Desert Fortress? That's a "secret" too in a way. If giving away map secrets, hints, or whatever else as a spectator or dead human is going to be treated as ghosting on this server now, then the rules should be updated and players should be made aware.

When this all went down, by the way, there was at least one admin (Evil, I think) on who did not say or do anything in response. Peter didn't claim that what rofl and I did was ghosting at the time either.

Exactly this. Previous round, peter was alive, and showing zombies where to go. As for you, you were in spectate (dead, being able to see everything), and told exactly where to go -- ghosting. It's a secret, let them youtube it, find it on their own or watch other people (don't tell a zombie how to get to a human if you're in spectate). If you are dead or not playing, DON'T SAY ANYTHING to give away how to get to an enemy -- (what if alltalk was off?). That's like telling an enemy in PUB/WCS/GG where a camper is when you are dead. You don't tell them exactly where they are, but you give them directions to. Don't do it.

I would also like to point out that you and racist has been here long enough to know the rules. So if you wish to bypass the rules by "saying it's not in the rules", it's not going to go well for you both.
It is very disappointing to see you guys would try to bypass the system by this "i was in spec and he was visually seen", especially from you rofl...

A 1 day ban for ghosting is fair for your prior history of bans. Next time you both try to pull a stunt like this, especially trying to sly through the system, i can assure you it will be longer.

Giving up map secrets is NOT against rules.... being in spectate thought, you are NOT allowed to tell anyone anything, and theoretically shouldn't even be talking about current game activity or driving anyone trying either team. Don't push it rofl... you are far from a day ban...

Don't let this shit happen again, you are not to interfere while in spec. Racist will receive extended ban the next time. Rofl, you know way better, and you are close to permanent removal regarding previous issues. This is final warning. Brett, if either pull this again, rofl is to be removed permanently(based on prior conditions), and racist its to be extended per one week. This is my discretion, and direction as I can not perform such actions in the meantime. I like you both as players, very fun. Please don't make things hard.
