I'm not sure how many people feel the same, but i believe Predator Zombies should be removed from ZE maps (Escape maps)

The Predator zombies make it incredibly hard to win many of the escape maps especially maps with bosses

perhaps the Predator should have an animation where the head can be shot off revealing the body and removing the invisibility concept

what are your opinions?

Understand that any changes or conclusions met that would otherwise invovle server side changes... wont happen for some time. however, dont let this fact take away from providing a solid discussion about your post. Personally, i think preds are fine, as far as hit points and knock back are concerned they are weak, however i believe that a slight change in the pred xp class for escape maps, would make a world of difference in winning more often.

i tend to agree a small change could make all the difference
and it would help a lot on those more difficult and really long escape maps

and yes it is scary as all hell i jump half way out of my seat when it happens!

They should be removed completely invisible zombies make this server special unlike others but they are really annoying. Always a pred that fucks us in an escape map

Actually it's edgers, people who don't defend, not hitting the button, nadestickers, door shooters, and phil.

Again, team work. Pred on ze is fine, it's the lack of humans defending where needed to defend, and lack of people who has a mic but fails to use it and inform when zombies are coming is the reason for the fails. It's not that hard.

You have 2-4 people defending off and back pedal at the same time. During that time of back pedaling, those 2-4 have each other's back using mic. "2 zombies on left, pred on right", "watch out, table or tree behind you, get ready to jump" -- DON'T LEAVE A MAN BEHIND. Now those 2-4 who are defending off and back pedaling towards to next hold off point, the rest who are already back, KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR ZOMBIES. Especially for pred zombies. You will hear someone give away their position, so keep and eye out. If you see a pred, use your mic and help give away their position, or use your radar. Don't be babies and hang where you need to fall back to. Defend where needed to defend, and look out for pred and not the obvious ones.

Lack of team work, lack of common sense, and straight up stupidity is what is wrong here. Not the pred class. Taking out pred class overall will babies these players.

Predators are fine, people just don't want a challenge these days. Plus the knockback system already helps humans enough. Removing predators would just help humans even more.

It's not edgers. I'm assuming this is being brought up because of last night when we were doing a small amount of people on predator. You just cant see them. It would be different if people were just spamming bullets but you don't see them until the last second. Flash light can't help you see them better when they are running through brush. It's a troll class plain and simple. 9 times out of 10 it's a predator that makes everyone wipe because no one sees them. The reason why we have the handicap is because we always lose on maps mainly because of predators but we didn't get rid of them and instead installed a handicap. The predator is the source of it all. I do remember you could shoot off the head a long time ago and it would become visible again and I don't know why we got rid of that.

It would be a lot better if we just got rid of them all together but that will never happen. I'm all for getting rid of the predator on escape maps and removing the handicap. Other servers don't have this problem but then again they are soley configured for ZE maps where we are configed for both. Which really hurts us in the end. In the end, our server doesn't have items work right, can't use classes in skyrim and minas and nothing is configured or setup for ZE escapes. We will get rid of predator? Probably not and you're better off playing on GFL. I was on the winning team with them and went 4-3.

Play on a server that is configured for escape.

I think it may be time to revisit the escape only server.... In the past two years, I have seen enough to know it is very plausible compared to what we did in 08. Times change and the majority love escape, unlike years ago. Also, I would love to see no rank based on points, rather wins as human only(everyone would actually play), on the escape server.... if one was to be ever revisited. Zero is out and about and Jig is controlling that aspect currently. Do not expect many things to be done in the next few months.

As far as pred.... meh.

I don't know why people have such a hard time with the preds. They're really not that hard to see if you actually open your fucking eyes and pay attention. It's the deformed that really messes up escape maps.

I guess when the server is full the predator would be much less of a problem but when the server is quieter the predator poses a huge threat
as you don't have the ability to fight off several zombies and scan the environment for an invisible predator with less that 10 humans to help you.

Ontopic: I doubt we will ever finish ze maps the legit way how it is now, you might want to make a ze server who focuses on that part. My main issue with this is, if you divide the 2 of them, you might cut the player base in half leaving both servers to die slowly.

I agree, deforms are more of a problem than any predator has been. As a few have stated already, it's the humans defending that costs them the win. I've played Predator XP for the majority of my time on Ibis. It's not some OP class that lets you win every round. Not sure of the exact knockback of preds but it's about the same as classic maybe a bit more. So the only thing that seperates them from classic is the camouflage. Which is easy to spot if you're looking for it. They aren't invisible, you can see them distorting the map around you. I've had a good amount of occasions where I was back peddling solo against multiple predators and did just fine. XP even has that bright red laser on it's head which is clearly visible even around corners. Predators add variety and a challenge which shouldn't be taken away else ZM would become more easy and dull.

I still don't see the point in predator xp, should remove that class and add another one instead.

I prefer the stats of the predxp to the regular pred. I have played all of the classes and the predxp is by far my favorite. Sacrificing some invisibilty for hp makes it all around better than the reg pred but you can still use stealth to your advantage.

True that would be one year ago, but with the new hp update on the zombies the normal predator got enough hp to do it's job and on maps like moria it is godlike with no equal near. but also on normal maps it does well and stands above most all other classes.

Original pred could have head blown off to remove camo and had more health than xp. This isn't possible anymore. Predxp had laser sacrificing health for more camo(no headshot camo removal). This is why the two are the way they are now. One or the other should just be removed. I've already posted op deformed thread.

Yea, I don't really have a problem with predators, but on some ZE maps they are virtually impossible to see due to the fancy-ass lighting that they have on maps such as LOTR. I didn't even know that you could knock the head off the regular predators, mostly because I never see anyone playing as the regular predator.
