It broke the hard drivmehow I have no clue and I'm a wiz when it comes to this haha

if the computer was on, it has a higher chance of f'n up as the plates are spinning and heads are moving, so prob moved the plates/headers...sometimes putting the drives in the freezer can make the readable SOME TIMES....and if it work's i'd try to recover the data as quick as possible...and the last ditch effort is to drop the hard drive again...cause it could possible knock it back into place...very slim but not unheard of. Good luck.

So she performed a marine drop test on it. Well if it fails the first test test again lol.

If it is corrupted you might need to hook up the drive to another system and see if you can recover anything on it.
