and its upsetting to see that zmod isn't as popular as before :(

also I'm under a couple of the IBIS clans some of the old folk made, and I have that showing up on screen.
Is that a worth a kick from the server?

i.e. it would show as IBIS 31337 <username>
instead of the admin tag which would be <username> ibis.a

As time progresses, things become obsolete.

Yea likely they have not seen anyone in the IBIS 31337 for a while lol. But with the recent changes to ZM the server is actually very popular again, we are in the top 100 and on target to enter the top 50 again this month if things keep up. :wtg:

yaaa jaeeh im just doing what im told, i asked you to rename because having ibis in your name indicates clan. Then having identified you as not an actual clan member i kicked you due to failure to rename. Im just following precedent. zero would that be wrong of me to do so? if it is my bad jaeeh

No we know you did not do anything wrong b/c you have no way of knowing that that exact name is an old tag which used to be automatically applied by the server back in the day.

In fact I could likely bring that back if I programed it myself b/c the support for naming without creating crashes was finally made possible again a few months back.

IBIS 31337 is different from IBIS. especially since the 31337 thing is before their actual name. its not part of their name, but rather part of a steamgroup/clan. It is in a seperate column in the scoreboard/playerlist thingy.

wasn't it a feature of steamgroups?

It was a feature in the actual server. A pluggin that placed a tag in name in server depending on total hours played. Old school shit.

Also, you should bring it back.

or they could just... you know... use the group tag for IBIS 3l33t or l33t.

Did the tag ever reduce the number of letters allowed in your name before the tag was added before it? So that it fits on scoreboard?

No. Names actually auto sized and fit with "tag" . It pulled time logged from phsyco stats to apply "tag" to name per time played in server. This was a plugin missed by many ZM players.

Yea except that it did not pull it from psychostats. It actually logged it internally. B/c it broke and was never fixed it was removed. Back then I could not code something complex like that and also for a time valve removed the ability to rename players ingame and that really killed it.

However, those things have changed and it would be possible to bring it back.

For example this command exists now: http://docs.sourcemod.net/api/index.php?fastload=show&id=1017&
