Admin: Hardcore <ibis.a>
Me: Suck My Ass aka RofLoLmao
Server: ZMod
Map: ze_voodoo_islands_v7
Date & Time: 7/30/2014 around 2:15 AM

How did he abuse: First I was temporarily muted, next I was kicked, and finally muted for 60 minutes. This was due to a funny soundboard being played by me. Keep in mind, I was not spamming in any sense and other notable people played soundboards as well (yumyum + Evil). This admin seems to be power hungry. Lastly, if Phil can recall, this was the admin that muted me back in the day on icecap escape when Phil was under his alter ego BIG BABY BUTT and warned him to not abuse his powers.

Demo: 1st Mute 66000, Kick @ 78500, and 60 minute mute 106,500 play it out.8689

I can confirm that he was abusing. He muted Rofl without a single warning when I got there.

I asked yum yum to stop playing his soundboards and he listened to me, Evil started playing his soundboards while I was dealing with you. Keep in the mind that Evil joined the server when I was proceeding with the 1 hour mute on Rofl, and he made an assumption that I was abusing even though he was not there for the situation. For Rofl, I warned him to stop using his suck my ass soundboard and he didn't listen. I proceeded to a 5min mute, then he left the server to avoid the mute, came back and used the soundboard again so I proceeded to a kick. He came back again and played the soundboard again, so I went with an hour mute. I am not power hungry, your soundboard was annoying and I warned you, you didn't listen & then you avoided the mute by leaving the server and joining back. I am only following the rules & avoiding a mute is against the rules. Also, you specifically said on the server that I was a "new admin" so how can you accuse me of a situation if you have never seen me before?

Yeah I'm not seeing any abuse.

if you didnt wanna hear it then you could have used an !sm since he wasnt really spamming and shit, and you were the only one who was complaining.

I do recall this instance. But during that time, he gave you no warning. He went straight for the mute.
Technicallyyyyyyy, he didn't give you a warning on this one either. Only gave yumyum a warning. But when an admin tells you to stop and shut up, just listen. Some admins are not as lenient as others with 1 or 2 soundboard clips.

admins also have no right to tell people to not use a soundboard. they have always been welcome in the community provided it's not being spammed constantly. haven't seen the demo yet as I'm just heading out. but unless he was spamming it, you had no right to ask him to stop. you could have simply player muted him as opposed to using admin commands if it was personally bothering you.

Did you even watch the demo? You would know you are full of shit. Not once did yumyum get warned for playing soundboards throughout the map, even he repeated sounds. You never warned me as Phil pointed out, and you decided to only hold me accountable for this soundboard.

Is using !sm really so hard? If it's good enough for dealing with Modest veteran, it's good enough for Rofl's soundboards.

Even so, Rofl did avoid a mute, and a 60 minute mute really isn't even that bad, to be honest.

Rofl, You should have just waited the mute out and waited until Hardcore left before playing the soundboard again.

!sm works well, but if it was more than just Hardcore who was bothered by the soundboard, then he had every right to mute. I don't know if anyone else was bothered by this, since I haven't watched the demo. Just adding my two cents.

Leaving the server does not cancel out an admin mute (it does cancel out a self-mute). I haven't watched the demo either but I'm guessing when Hardcore says that Rofl left the server to avoid the original 5 minute mute what he means is that he left and came back 5 minutes later after the mute had expired (given the spacing of the tick marks I'm guessing this is exactly what happened), which is a little disingenuous. He was muted for 5 minutes and he chose to spend those 5 minutes somewhere else, then came back when the mute was up. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, a 60-minute mute isn't that bad, but as Maynard said, there's no rule against playing clips from a soundboard, so why use an admin command at all? A simple !sm would have been enough. Now, if there were a lot of players complaining about the soundboard, then an admin would be justified in intervening, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, and in my experience most people are not bothered by soundboards unless it's music being played for an extended amount of time.

Spot on. Sometimes when the mute expires, you're still muted that's why I rejoined.

I agree with almost everything you said Racist, but like I said, I haven't watched the demo.

I think the 5-minute mute is justified just to get the point across though, and if asked to stop, Rofl should have at least waited until after he left. That's not to say that Hardcore is entirely in the clear - like you said, !sm is an entirely valid solution in itself, and not having watched the demo, I don't know if anyone else complained. I was just bringing that up as a reason why he would mute. As for the situation at hand, I really think it's just a communication error/misenterpretation - I don't think this counts as 'admin abuse'.

EDIT: leaving the server does cancel out a temporary mute - I don't know whether or not that's what Hardcore used.

Watch the demo, don't go by assumption.
Round 4, second island..

Hardcore: !mute suck my ass
Hardcore: !mute suck

No exact minutes given. Just a "temporary mute".

Same round, third island.
Rofl leaves, rofl joins right back (matter of seconds)

I'm on nobody's side here, just pointing out what actually happened.
You guys need to start watching demos to see what actually happened, instead of going off of assumptions.
Credibility and trust is lost by minor things like this.. Just because you go by assumption, not what happened.

Spoke with another Clan a while back, said they often mute people on certain maps that use HLS. No abuse found, though a warning should always be given in the future.

resolved, closed.
