Strider Suggestion

Would it be better to have Strider flight mode be switched to noclip mode like Dragon Fly's flight mode (no knife available)? There is no real way to counter a Strider that goes around knifing on a big map (anything but cs_office and we can't always just stay on cs_office to avoid Strider). If you go human and bash procs, Strider just uses Portal ultimate. At least with Vagalion, lace counters it easily.

I might do it that way but there will be some changes to this race when it gets reprogrammed b/c it is not intended to be a knife race yet is being used as if it is one. The issue was that you were supposed to at least be able to shoot while in flight with this race, however it is now possible to allow for this while also not allowing the knife.

It might just be pistol only for example, can not say till I reprogram and have a test version to see how the balance goes.

but if u remove the knifing from strider. then his portal should have no cooldown.

Reducing knife dmg while in flight might be the best option.

The way people abuse Strider, the cooldown on the portal makes no difference. The argument here is that there is no real counter to a knifing Strider on medium to high ceiling map. Taking the knife away would be the best alternative option, because giving a Strider the ability to shoot and knife at leisure is just adding fuel to that proverbial fire. Lowering the knife damage would just prolong the battle, as Striders just buy health lace and ring. Restrict the ring on Strider so they can't keep flying around regenerating life as it is restricted on Vagabonds and Vagalions.
