Every since the fall of TPB, I can't find anywhere that has a decent stream or torrent for the 3 animes I watch. What is even more sad is that the anime is mainstream! Help a nigga out and show me where to go?

TPB for anime?

Alright first off, nyaa is the anime tracker, second, Anidb is your friend to find sub groups, On their sites (hatsuki, commie, white base) and there you will find either links to their torrents, DDL, or IRC.

TBP is usually the last place I look for anime

You are 100% of the time going to want to get the files from the fan sub group directly. This has the following advantages:

You know that the link you follow the download the file is the original link posted by the people that physically created the file your trying to download thus preventing risk of virus ect
You actually know who the fuck did the translation/edit and have selected a particular group over other possible options of whom you will acquire your releases for a given show based on the merits of that group over others (as compared to randomly downloading shit translations)
You get to read the release comments and see the pics that some groups post up, good for the lolz and sometimes the meta.
You can also have access in the case of some groups to DDL of the show so that you can still download if your in a place where torrents do not work.
You will be able to easily access the batch when the show is done with any script corrections and possibly get news on the Bluray releases
You can get a heads up about delays or schedule changes such as the fact that the show will not air next week and return the week after for example
You can leave comments directly on the groups website about their release

By knowing who is doing the translation you avoid shit like this: http://www.crymore.net/2015/01/15/fansub-review-watakushi-absolute-duo-episode-02/

Would you rather have your translation of Yurikuma Arashi be from Japanese translated into German and then German translated into English and get this: http://www.crymore.net/2015/01/06/fansub-review-anonymous-yurikuma-arashi-episode-01/

Or instead you could simply have checked that the Anonymous translation sucks and used a quality group like Asenshi instead and get this: http://www.crymore.net/2015/01/16/fansub-review-asenshi-yurikuma-arashi-episode-02/

Just glancing over the screen caps between the two should make it instantly obvious why you should pay attention to where your release comes from.

As already said, nyaa is a open torrent tracker and many fansubs use this but better to go directly to fansub websites. If you want a private tracker then Bakabt is great.

As a substitute for TPB for normal torrents, i suggest going to rarbg.

Please note that BakaBT will only list shows that are not currently airing and those not licensed in the USA.

Also some groups such as Doki for example will never be listed on nyaa b/c the people that run that site deleted all of the Doki torrents years ago over some argument which was unrelated to either of the sites.

The flowing page is a good source for a list of currently airing shows and who is doing the translations although does not list all of them: http://fansubdb.com/wiki/Winter_2014

If you click on a show on that page and then click the information link it will take you directly to the anidb page for that show. This is useful for finding new shows that you might want to watch as you will then have access to see who is doing the direction and series composition as well as the studio. In addition you will see a list of groups who have released translations for the said series and if you click the groups name you are taken to a page that will show all series that group has done and usually a link to their site.

You do realize that the streams usually have the worst possible translation. Your likely better off looking at a series of screen caps from the ep and making up your own story. It would take less time and be just as reliable.

Here are again b/c after working on this for 15min I lost everything and now a shorter version:

This is what is streamed officially and then re released under HorribleSubs and then restremed on the sites listed above.

http://www.crymore.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/HorribleSubs-Yuri-Kuma-Arashi-02-720p.mkv_snapshot_13.37_2015.01.13_13.18.44.jpg

They can not even correctly write a sentence, as seen above. Ever hear of A yea I think you want an A in there...

Good luck reading shit shit:
http://www.crymore.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/HorribleSubs-Yuri-Kuma-Arashi-02-720p.mkv_snapshot_00.49_2015.01.13_12.34.25.png

In addition you also get to have great high quality images or maybe not:
http://www.crymore.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/HorribleSubs-World-Trigger-04-720p.mkv_snapshot_15.20_2014.11.15_16.36.55.png

I has some more problem heres:
http://www.crymore.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/HorribleSubs-World-Trigger-04-720p.mkv_snapshot_00.18_2014.11.15_14.28.48.jpg

Can someone get a permission to stop this shit!

Now those are just some examples. Now it is not impossible for them to have a good release but it 100% depends on if the official release is any good which it usually is not. Therefore your best bet is to grab a much better translation from a real group and not a stream.

Well I wouldnt say crunchyroll subs are awful, the typesetting and video quality leave me wanting.

Lots of real groups now take the crunchyroll script and just do a TLC to them and be done with it now a days.

It should be noted that even when "official" subs are available the translations can very wildly just take this for example: http://www.crymore.net/2015/01/11/translation-party-anonymous-vs-asenshi-vs-horriblesubs-vs-watashi-yurikuma-arashi-episode-01/

Here you can see how each group translated the same lines (as compared to the official translation (HorribleSubs))

If you are ever looking for recommendations or having problems selecting which group to get subs from just ask.

I only care about good quality subs when i'm pulling in something to keep. most shit i watch streamed i don't intend to pick up later. I have no issues watching streams, generally.

....The japanese literally make me question if they have crossed that line of insanity...

In regards to streams and such, I have a slight confession. I hate subs and usually only go for the dubbed. I know it isn't the "true anime" and people hate me for it but hey, I grew up listening to axelrod and Steve Blum. I love it.
