Unapproved visitor messages

What are "Unapproved Visitor Messages"? I can't get the notifications to go away for unapproved visitor messages and have no clue how to view them.

To get rid of that "unapproved visitor messages" notification dep, just go to you user cp page and at the bottom of the visitor messages box, you should see a box that has a drop down arrow next to it. click on that and select approve messages. than click on the one you want to approve and click go. it should approve that message(s) and that notification will go away.
