The only game I'm waiting on is Elder Scrolls. I'd be hyped for fallout and looks up my alley, but never played any and don't know the story.

Fallout should be great. The story is different each game, essentially though its based in a world that had suffered catastrophic nuclear war between China and the US. People still survive, trying to create towns and whatnot, some people are raiders, the remnants of the govt tries to take back control etc. Its a first/third person shooter RPG. If your hesitant, im sure Fallout 3 will see a dip in price when 4 is released, and 3 was a great game.
