I'm trying to see if there could be a clear downside to mass claiming flavor, and can not really see one, which appears to be a fatal flaw in this setup. Unless Scribble went off script and has several obscure characters in lieu of more obvious ones its kind of a done deal. 7 Dwarves + Snow White will certainly be town, and that's 8 right there, we have 11 people total, so in essence those extra 3 are likely to all be scum, either 3 mafia or 2 mafia and a third party.

I figured when the numbers got low enough, the ambiguity would be beneficial at least for 1 night, and yes it can attract the wrong attention but I assumed someone would realize im not an idiot and might just be trying to do something. And when has a mod ever given a safe claim to scum? That is a huge advantage to have.

I'm assuming the flavor thing was mostly a waste of time as no one has cc'ed, and if the mafia was given a clear name to claim, it made the whole thing pointless, though, tomorrow when we get to see a few names, it will probably clear things up.

Yeah, I messed up, Stars belonged in that list, since the only thing against him is him being quirky.

What do you want? Pass is doing things such as not being able to find Nem saying "Retard, my Dwarf is an Innocent Child" or Scrib saying "no hidden modifiers". Zambi, at least, isn't showing off that he isn't bothering to read. In general, how many people came into an 11 person game with 8 clears? How many of those that think they knew the enemy, have not bothered lynching one of the odd men out, instead making sure that the scum know where all the pieces are? Or maybe Cyber's voting himself? Or you outting hated? How about the pair that couldn't make a single post, or the one who never started? What's being What, and my opinion of that is known. We've got all the flavour, which if someone has flavour cop, matters. However, right now all people are doing with it is trying to out-meta the mod in a bastard game. We have people talking about "safe claims", but unless those "safe claims" are dwarves, they aren't safe claims at all. I'm doing jack all because I've got at least 3 people convinced I'm not town solely because of meta. The only positive in this game is that it seems like we're getting somewhere, but the modkills are helping that.

I did legitimately miss the "no hidden modifiers" which still doesn't convince me 100%, as this is a bast bastard game, which by definition means the mod lies to the players.

As for Nemesis being a dwarf, that part is WiFoM as he could have been baiting What into claiming sleepy.

Well there are several options. Do you look into the flavour for any dwarf that could be disgruntled? Like Grumpy, or the black one? Do you lynch anyone who isn't a dwarf, like Blackmage, Pass, or What? Or do you get rid of someone, despite role, is know to be a hindrance to town in every game? Like Cyber.

I'd mention the fact that "innocent child" seems to fit Snow more than Sleepy or wtvr 8th dwarf you're gonna pull out of your ass, but then again Happy isn't particularly loved, while snow is still a princess figuratively.

I still think blackmage would be our best bet, though I'm not a fan of What, since it is impossible for him to be cleared. I think hinting at a power role instead of saying flavor claiming was a decent idea would have been the better way to go. I also still do not like Zambi's hammer, and Nemesis not clearing himself when everyone claimed flavor is odd. Those are my thoughts. We should figure something out before more people get modkilled.

My worries:

BM - Claim's mirror, could go either way without knowing exactly who is meant to be good or evil in this setup.

Pass- Prince is a safe claim, in his mind ensures we are a dwarf down which could be a gambit to take out someone if all 7 dwarves were claimed and sow confusion, When Decimator's flavor is shown this will become clear, also if a dwarf turns up evil it negates that reasoning.

Nem - Hasn't claimed flavor, claims a role that is only effective if used, which it hasn't been yet, and continues to push Cyber who as "loved" is more likely than not to be town, maybe some type of crappy 3rd party at worst. (like survivor)

Ass does have the potential to be a liability if it comes down to late game, but seems like a big risk just to off a townie now.

BM, how exactly is a no-lynch a viable option?

We would go into day 3 with 7 people instead of 6, and would get 4 reveals. He has a point there. If there is a Vig, it would allow him a shot during the 2nd night.

Unless there is an SK or someone is retarded, we should hit day 2 with a minimum of 6 people, which means we can keep assassin hanging around either way. Personally, I'd like to take a chance on either BM or What, but would be fine with a no lynch. I could see the queen having a safe claim provided since she did use a disguise, but I really just don't see who else could be her partner other than either the mirror or the huntsman as per the theme.

The Great Moderator grew bored and decided to entertain himself with the plight of 11 zany characters. With a snap of the fingers, he had instantly plucked them out of their reality with nothing but foggy memories of faces, names, and some crazy plot going down in the forest. A plot that The Great Moderator decided needed some divine intervention. The 8 started to shout, bickering about who should die first in the face of 3 random smites. Among the shouting, The Great Moderator heard the pleas of the majority and destroyed their chosen target. The Great Moderator celebrated with booze and decided that the death scene should be some vague bullshit like what I just wrote.

MOD NOTES:
I made a few mistakes, the most major was not informing Blackmage and What that there was a traitor and Stars believed they were unaware. Also, I meant for Passarelli to be a flavor cop. This game was town sided, but I gave the traitor an upgraded win condition with the understanding that the godfather and redirector would not last very long. I had a few slip ups, like forgetting to reopen the thread a few times. I do not want to hear complaints about the modkills, I was very explicit about two things, both which you had to have read had you paid attention to the signup thread. Assassin, you should have known from the other modkills that I would enforce the night talk rule as well.

MVPs:
What - made shitty circumstances work to his advantage for far too long.
Pass - Excellent choice on the investigation (Stars). Blackmage redirected your investigation to Nemesis, and Stars framed Nemesis. Had only one of them targeted Nemesis, Stars would have won. So instead, the investigation was on a redirected but framed Nemesis, causing the investigation to return Antitown status to Pass, who assumed the investigation was still on stars.

LVPs:
Cyber - almost ruined an easy win. If a town member would have been lynched and What and Blackmage had been able to communicate once in private, the game would have swung in their favor.
Modkills - You ruined it for both town and mafia by not adhering to very simple rules described in the sign up thread. You have no one to blame but yourself. The post requirement and the night talk ban were just tests. The night talk ban I will probably utilize for certain setups, but the post requirement was too much to keep up with and despite the consequences, people still will not adhere to it.

I have to do some traveling tonight and will post all of the communications and actions tomorrow in the evening some time.

Thank you for all of your patience and for making a trial run for one of my games.

Cop and vig at same time, sounds op, I never would have guessed that. I was confident that i could not convince pass after that investigation though, perhaps I could convince nem, and that would have been all I needed. Though thats a big gamble.

Well, the flavor made it tough to fake a claim, though at least I guessed well with huntsman, had we all survived the first day, it would have been an easy road to victory given how many people would have died day 1

Scrib: Only real question is, why were the bodies revealed early (Night 1 start vs Day 2 start)? Not sure if knowing the traitor existed or that would have affected my gameplay at all, but, thanks for the game. No complaints about the way the game was modded. I do have problems with the setup, but that's personal preference.

Stars: Mafia is normal told you (traitor) exist. We only thought there were 2 of us, vs 8 or 9 town. Also, I pushed Pass to Nem, because Nem was the only one I was certain was my enemy :P Since some redirects tell the cop who they searched in spite of a redirect, went for my safe bet. And if he was a vig, even better :) Alas.

I was pretty sure you were something Stars, but I was sure Blackmage was mafia, and I assumed he had a better ability. Wasn't sure if you were actually mafia or a third party, but I thought blackmage was worse. I left you the option to claim miller so you would attack Pass instead of me so I could get you the next day if I needed to.

Before Cyber comes in here and cries, again, I didn't claim early because Scrib wouldn't tell me exactly what the msg would say, nor would he tell me if the beloved princess would trigger on any death or just lynch, so I didn't want to give two nights if I could help it.

I tried to trip up What's claim as much as I could on the first day. I wanted to obviously hint at a dwarf, so he would either claim Snow White or what dwarf, which I knew was already dead. Huntsman was the best choice he could have come up with and a great play, but just not enough. But I mean, what else you gonna claim?

Cyber again held the town down and I would have rathered him get mod killed early.

Surprised to see that outing flavor worked out as well as it did.

That's due to the theme, small pool of characters makes it difficult to claim something believable since you either need to get very lucky, or claim something obscure which is a redflag itself.

And I was the only one pushing the last 2 unclaimed to flavor claim just to get the show going, sucks that you think it's just you nemesis, but you could have simply fake claimed the dead person's role and give What the obvious "i'm snow" claim THEN you could counter him. But instead you chose to just drag it on forever.

That being said, you guys are all idiots and just love to shift the blame on the one person that's trying to be active, so fuck it, i'm just gonna chill and watch everyone go to hell in these games from now just to see how far you bury yourself deep without having a fallback "lets call cyber a bad player and shift the blame out of nowhere"
