Depending on how many people show interest, I am willing to run a basic setup open to nubs and vets.

7-11 people preferred
1-2 willing to be backup
vanilla game
closed/open setup (based on majority vote)

If enough people sign up by Sunday night, I will send out roles then and open the thread for confirmations.

I am leaving the country Tuesday morning for a couple of weeks. I would like to have everyone confirmed and the first day started by Monday evening, but this is negotiable.
I will not be available during the days once I leave, and would be doing all thread review and modding in the mornings and evenings, with guaranteed availability 1800 to 2200 CST.

Rules are expected to be followed, but I will be using a two strike system. I will warn for the first strike, and mod-kill for the second.

No post count requirements, and no time limits for the days unless a day is needlessly dragging. Night actions must be received 48 hours after the time of the day end post. Those that do not send their actions will have their actions selected by RNG including one or more null values to the mix depending on which night it is and how many previous nights were missed. Night 1 will have one null value, night 2 will have 2, night 3 will have 3, etc. If a player failed to send their action previous nights, each night missed will add another null value to the current RNG.

If you would like to co-mod and have no interest in playing, post in this thread and we will talk on steam.

Just try to stay active as possible, ask questions if need be on clarification. Read the rules too! Don't EVER edit your posts in a mafia game.

First!

Also, open settup is a pile of liquid shit as it doesnt allow for creativity or lying.

It's good for people trying to learn because it's more structured.

Once you get the hang of it, closed it probably better for diversity and creativity. Personally, I'm partial to open setup because I don't quite have the hang of these games yet.

There is really nothing else you can learn from an open game aside from the basic function of the game, something that almost everyone who is going to play this game already knows quite well. I don't understand the "learning game for noobs" when we never seem to have any. An open game is good to get your feet wet, but most of us are already soaking. If we can get 4-5 new players, then great, quick run through with an open game, then back to something fun, if not though, I just dont see the point.

Open setup is when you know the roles handed out beforehand. Closed you do not.

Open is easier for newer players because you know which roles are in the game and that you can counter-claim someone with more reliability than in a closed setup, where there could easily be two of you with the same role and no one would be the wiser. Closed setup is easier for the mafia because it gives them more wiggle room when it comes to claiming. You can get away with a lot more bullshit in closed than not.

The poll closed, but I'm in if there is room.

Also, I'm hedging and voting for semi open. These tend to be more balanced, allow for some lying and misdirection, yet are simple enough for newer people(and Cyber, who I'll get ahold of tonight) to not get lost.

Cool. I'm not sure why the poll closed.

Cool. I'm not sure why the poll closed.
you probably set an expiration date accidentally.

I'll join, and when I get wagonned/lynched/killed 5 minutes in, I can rotate to help you co-mod during your down time objectively (since I really couldn't care less about the game itself anymore). That's assuming you needed an extra hand. I'm sure you got this, but i'm offering nway bud.

Because a vision softly creeping
Left it's seeds while I was sleeping

Still remains within the sound of silence
