ZMod Revival?

Hey everyone. I know ZMod is pretty much the ass-end of any IBIS jokes you guys have but are there any plans to revive this shithole? I miss playing with my autists.

Yea, I had spent an insane amount of time getting the server to work with bots so that it would be easier to seed the server but unfortunately that did little to nothing. Our main issue seems to be that we need to be able to get people into the server to build up a mass of players.

Also I want to say that maybe we should try a completely different approach to bring the ZM server back. One thing I always thought would be interesting would be to bring WCS style elements to ZM so that you could sort of level your humans and zombies and have some sorts of abilities. Things like adding human classes for example to offer something that no other server has.

I have a group that are constantly talking about wanting to play on Ibis like the old days, we are stuck with PF stupid infinite ammo server and a couple other sad ones. If you were able to get rid of the bots that no one likes and put a couple of regulars in charge - UA or some step in between - they could police the server a lot better. We need to probably also have tiered admin, too many idiots coming in and banning people, slapping themselves all over the place, changing the map to something shitty that they want and kill the server, etc. Don't get me wrong, some of the autism is what makes people want to play on the server, but players like Strongfield and Papi really did a lot of damage. I think we should also remove a lot of the permanent bans, the player base is too small to be picky of all the players, I think we should keep them on an unable to purchase admin list, but letting them come in should be allowed. We need to look through logs of old players and reinvite them back. Tell them they can have donater status for a month or something. Incentives is going to be a big part to move players off of the other Zmod servers.

The bots only are in there when there is less than 10 players. After 5 players every additional player removes 1 bot from the game.

Yeah, but if I go in with 3-4 players then the second the round starts the bots turn into zombies and are useless. especially on ZE maps. I think 99% of the community would agree that bots aren't needed.

Firstly, from what I've discussed with other members of IBIS on Plague Fest and on Steam, is the removal of BOT's.

Secondly, removing the Smoke grenades/ and limiting the frag grenade limit back down to 1.

Lastly, I feel there are too many Zm maps on the server map list, IBIS's Zm community has always strongly focused it's self on Zombie Escape. While I like having a few select Zm maps on the list, I feel as though it's taking away from the stronger aspect to the server and it's community.

These are my opinions, and they're subjective so feel free to way in; the server needs serious re-thinking.

IBIS's Zm community has always strongly focused it's self on Zombie Escape.

player trails are only on for ZE maps and not for ZM maps.

I am working on making it so that you must vote to "enable" bots on supported maps.

I am also going to remove the time nades but keep the extra fire nade for now.

The plan would be if we can get it more populated we might reduce the nades back to 1 and then give vips an extra nade and give admins an extra nade and 1 time nade.

ok I have made it so that bots are disabled by default and you can vote to turn them on. Once on it works like before where you have no more than 5 and the number decreases as you approach 10 players. It will automatically disable at 10 players.

I have reduced time nades from 6 seconds duration to 3 seconds.

Next, currently we limited the number of maps that can be played when the server is empty. Do you guys want to see all the maps available again like before?
