So over the past 2 weeks the pub has been losing traffic. I need a list of what needs to be changed so that everything can get back on track. What maps are just losing players and what do we need to add to attract new players. :assault:

Maybe start a 24/7 dust or office cycle for a bit, see how that goes. I've noticed that servers with a 24/7 in front of them usually have a full or close to full server. :toothless:

is there a way to seperate the 3 servers maps into different lists? because personally i hate it when i show up on the pub and we are playing a gg map... isnt the point of a pub to play hostie or bomb maps?

a big issue is the server doesnt always go to the map we vote for or even set. so that hurts us.

How about increasing the server to at least 28. People are attracted to larger servers.

Can we do what whyt suggested please? We've had that post open and unreplied for quite some time now. Also, the map votes have to be cancelled constantly in order to get some decent maps. Thanks.

It is the end of the school year. A lot of CS players are college students. Colleges are having Spring Finals right now...

That could be part of the problem. Did it happen this time last year, I can't remember...

Yes you are correct in that thought. Every may we lose traffic during the switch from school to summer player bases. :cool2:

I agree that a map refresher might be in order. The popular ones such as dust2 and office should stay IMHO.

Actually, office and office 2007 don't get played much anymore perhaps that is part of the issue?

I think what you are really seeing is a MAY slowdown due to college tests and finals...

yeah, I second the map change bug. That's a pain in the azz.

Also, have you considered looking at the server list and making note of what servers have lots of players, how many players, what maps, what map lists they have, and how the server's are run?

beachassault is not one sided if you rush and know how to play it. I always managed to do good no matter what side I was on...

Beachassult should stay. If a player is dumb enough to join CT than its their fault. Just make sure you join T at the beginning of the game and all is well.

i dont think the bots in spectate help either because some people go in thinking there is like 15 players in and they join a team and are like wtf noones in here and leave but some people join where theres 1 person in and they play then another joins etc etc

ive played on a map called twilight or something close to that. it was a building ct outside t inside and the objective was.... well pretty much kill each other but i think the ct had to go uptop to get hostages. still not quite sure.

we need DE_westwood in the map rotation. Also some de_rats map would be great too.

Im getting new tires again :shock: darn I jsut got some in May I guess I was drifting too much again. I will try to see if I can get the maps added when I am in MI b/c when I "come back" I leave again on the 9th for 2 weeks out of the country and I will definitely be unreachable there.
