So I was playing Jurrassic Park tonight. Things were going fine. Chase was with me, and when we got to the truck, we both made it on, and I threw a nade at him to glitch him off the truck and had a laugh. Chase was pissed at me and later when I inquired "WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE GATE!?" after zombies got in, chase spammed admin chat saying something along the lines of "YOU DIPSHIT" which was directed at me. I promptly muted him. A minute or two later, echo501st bans him for 7 days.

Im not saying i wasnt spamming, but i think 7 days for text spamming through the admin talk thingy is just overkill. Would you rather i do it through regular chat?

Walter muted me, and that was done, but a good 2 minutes later im suddenly banned for 7 days? Come on. I'll take the ban, but i still think its pretty gay considering there really was no harm done to the other players... they couldnt see it and the only people that could were echo and walter.

If anybody should have banned me, it should have been walter, but this is something we do to each other all the time.

I'd also like to say i dont have a problem with echo, but this ban was overkill. Walter banned somebody for 1 day for breaking the bridge on humans after warning them, yet i get a 7 day ban for text spamming without warning? If you read the server rules, i should have been kicked first, then temp banned if i did it again.

If everybody agrees i should stay banned, then idc. its not that big of a deal. the main problem here is that i was dealt with by walter, then echo decided to step in to something between me and walter.

Sorry to but in on other admins business and such, but 7 days is highly excessive when the person who it was directed to...was an admin...and the offenders friend who was basically laughing at the situation. Not to mention it was OBVIOUS Walters attitude was like that towards the situation.

And you mentioned the rules...if I recall you should of:

-Warned Him (before a mute and/or a kick)
-Muted/Kicked
-Banned (starting with the lowest ban first)

I believe Zero mentioned that the 7-day bans should be held back as a "last resort" option.


1. Get the dude unbanned
2. Don't be so "trigger happy" on your ban button. It should NOT be the first thing you think to do in a situation like that.

And echo, as far as i know there is no way to send it directly to Walter through the chat. the closest i get is through the admin chat which narrowed it down to you and walter instead of the whole server.

I'm sorry to hear that you're thinking about leaving counterstrike because of noobs on the server, but i can assure you, i am a good player and i usually dont do anything to act out against others unless i know them well enough which in this case me and walter go back a year or two.

I do agree with you though, there are a ton of noobs on the server and i am usually as agitated as you are when i play because of them. I'm sorry if you now view me as one of those noobs.

I agree that disrespecting an admin 13 times is insane. Also I think that for someone that has already disrespected an admin they should have a ban that shows them not to do it again. Therefore I think that a max ban of 2 hours for a first time offender of disrespect along with the spam is reasonable. Therefore it is important to note that he preformed this action 12 times after the initial outburst. (at a very fast interval i know)

Thus it is 2 hours x 12 outbursts = 1day ban. He will be unbanned tomorrow.
