Googling through for crash diets is hilarious, and yet impossible considering people experience things differently.
Has anyone on here gone on crash diets and can recommend one for 2 weeks that can work solidly?
Keep in mind I go to the gym twice a day. Morning is Military PT and night is casual 20 minute run plus whatever I want to focus on (arms or legs) so something with protein is a must, but I need something that will level it off. Chou where you at?

atkins induction phase.
No crash diet can ever work becuase of the way the body treats energy intake. What will happen is your body will evolve to use less energy to preform the same tasks resulting in weight loss to stop also at this time if you go back you will gain even more than you started with.

the atkins induction works really well. but as you said.. once you stop doing it, all the weight comes right back...
I'm considering to just skip 1 meal. So just eat breakfast and lunch. Let me look at this Atkins induction. Problem is when I stop the diet, I don't really intend on stopping it completely.

You eat three meals? I just have one a day whenever I'm hungry.
Then again I'm not really using all that much energy.
Yeah I eat 3 healhy meals. Problem is this is an emergency diet. Looking at the Atkins Induction I think is doable especially for the amount I need to lose. It's definitely doable in 2 weeks.

Actually you're supposed to eat at least 5 meals a day in small portions. It will keep the metabolism moving.
Starving yourself will trick the body into turning whatever u eat into fat.
Also remember to at least drink a half gallon of water a day. =)

chicken breast, rice, and salad. o yea and fruit/protein shakes. and lots and lots of that h two oh.
The water thing is a lie for me right now since us women don't handle water weight effectively. The military standards for women is so retarded sometimes.
Whey protein = win for breakfast plus scrambled eggs.
salad with chicken breast for lunch or maybe tuna with light mayo and lettuce

That's exactly why I switch muscle workouts from legs to arm each day. Today I did arms, tomorrow will be legs. The cardio stays the same since the cardio maintains the calorie/fat burn.

Well hey this morning I texted Sin while I weighed myself. Solid 2 pounds off in 1 day. The atkins induction will definitely work. 2 pounds for 14 days = 24 pounds which is more than what I need to lose, but I'll take it.

May sound crazy, but fastin is the quickest way to lose weight. and working out daily so you dont lose muscle but instead build. Also before you workout do make sure you eat! make a chicken salad or eggs or whatever

I went on a crash diet (Fasted) like 3 yrs ago and WoW I LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT, AND LOST IT SO FAST!!!!!! And fyi what some of you are saying that if you do a crash diet and eventually stop you gain it back that is Not True AT ALL I weighted 160 something =/ and now I weight 108 and I'm 22 :icon_mrgreen:

Fasting isn't a good idea if you plan on doing military shits. It's a shock to your metabolism, and every person reacts differently to fasting. Regular meals comprised of diverse ingredients (ie; not just 8oz of steak) is the way to go. Eating 5 meals a day is good, if you can eat well for those 5 meals, and not just $1 burgers from McD. Even if you don't have the time or interest to eat 5 meals a day, you can do similar things by keeping snacks with you. So instead of a mid-afternoon meal, you might eat 2oz of nuts, or an apple and some cheese.
Fasting works to an extent. My dad was telling me about Ramadan (since he was raised in a Muslim country) and how they lost about 12 pounds easy because they had limited nutrition. As you said though, being active for PT and working out hard is not a benefit to fasting and can create issues.
Thus far since going on my streak of Atkins induction, I've lost 3 pounds. Cutting down on carbs only and eating sensible protein and vegetables plus going to the gym for 4 hours a day is working so far.

the average weight lost during atkins induction phase is 15-40 pounds (provided you're doing it properly) when you first start doing atkins you lose weight hella fast.

Actually that will not advert what I am referring to, all you are doing there is optimizing time as it is not a good idea to work mussels back to back as they need at least 24 hours to rebuild and thus actually gain strength. Unless you are trying to gain stamina and then going back to back could be useful. I am referring to long term muti month cycles.
as far as fasting goes the question is if you actually want to be healthy or not. looking nice may be good but your personal health should always take priority!

Anorexia works awesome too. :icon_rolleyes: My best friend has an eating disorder. She also has cancer as a result of it. So her weight fluctuates like crazy. Last thing she ever recommends to me unless I'm desperate is picking up an eating disorder, and if I did... I better do it healthy is what she said. Funny and not funny... I know :plzdie:

I knew a bunch of old friends in high school who did coke and heroine, and this one huge kid dropped 50 pounds in 2 months. He was doing heroine. Now he's just a drunk.

I lost 55 pounds in 1 month on meth. meth is even given 2 ppl who are harsh obese when they're trying 2 lose weight.. meth goes directly for your fat cells, and eats them away.
any hardcore drug will make you lose weight cause you have no interest 2 eat when on them or coming down from them. but for weight loss, meth is the strongest form of it.
I have no desire to take drugs though. Especially with a drug test. :P

That happened to me once, but then was told it was laced with PCP and xtc. Most likely yours was laced.

lol nah it was just a fatty with an ass load of hash thrown in it. it was my first time too. but i was with a couple of friends who grow their stuff and buy from people they know. although idk if what i smoked was thiers or bought..

I think since I stopped smoking weed, I don't get panic attacks anymore. When I had my encounter with that shit, I had to go to the ER and everything. They assumed I overdosed on something. This was something my friend always bought too, so who knows. I thought she slipped me a roofie to be honest.

Lol I don't think it's fair 2 say that you almost died from marijuana cause you had a panic attack. it's common people have a panic attack when they first start smoking weed, cause marijuana is known 2 make you feel paranoid sometimes... the end result is, you CAN'T die from smoking or eating marijuana. you would literally have 2 smoke or eat your body weight within about 10-15 minutes 2 overdose on marijuana. there's a reason no 1 has ever died from using marijuana directly in the 3000 years it's been used on this planet.

there's nothing fruity about eggnog and rum lol. it's xmas in liquid form. and is like the only time where I'm drinking something diff then whiskey or beer

I guess when soldiers feel the pressure to be a certain weight before weigh in and what not (rape can probably attest to this). My recruiter told me Epsom salt. Two table spoons in 2 8oz glasses (warm water), drink it (tastes like shit), and you have the shits for the rest of the day. Guaranteed to drop 5-8 pounds depending, and it dehydrates the shit out of you.
Not trying this out yet, but I thought it was weird.

I obviously looked at this thread way too late.
I'm always having issues GAINING weight. I eat about twice a day and work out as regularly as I can (about 2-3 times a week depending) and I also do push-ups/sit-ups/crunches every day and in the last three months (I started doing this three months ago) I've gained around 15 pounds (up to 135 woot). I pretty much eat nothing but carbs and protein. FML.
But srs. I know guys who did the epsom salt trick in college for wrestling. Nasty shit. Nasty.
