ya... now when I start my PC I get this constant pop up on my bottom right bar saying I'm infected and secuirty alert and all this..... but the worst part is the msgs that it sends me constantly saying security alert slowly come faster and faster... it's driving me insane

huh? only thing I got is avg (came with PC) and adaware. but it wont let me run them... and if I go in safe mode most I can get is 2 have avg do some diff style of dos search for probs cause it wont run the program normally in safe... hopefully that does something. this really sucks.

They added a section to their forums for you to bitch to them about it. Hopefully they listen and implement some of the changes people actually want. The only thing I saw that I know a lot of people actually cared about was the clock. Also I hear that your fav servers will be backed up on the cloud so that is nice.

no.... all it says is windows security alert, and makes noises and send me 2 sites and keeps telling me I have some kinda antivirus software alert... no program name is on it.

one thing that might work is wiping your hard drive and reinstalling windows which can be a pain if you have a lot of files because they could be infected also

ok, anything like that, is fake!!

any "infections" picked up from software you didn't install are fake. you try to delete them and it will tell you to purchase pro mode. it's a scam. the files they tell you are infected are normal, harmless files, and any attempt to manually delete them will fuck you over soooo hard. one time, for example, they told me explorer.exe was a virus that could cause serious harm if not deleted immediately.

if they are stopping you from running antivirus software, tell me. i'll might be able to teamviewer you a copy of a tool designed to fix that problem, in some cases. mit's a tdsskiller application that will scrub your registry and free up your real anti virus/malware programs.

Reinstall Windows (and again, get disk imaging software like Acronis (about $50 for a home version if I recall) which will make system restores quick as lightning and 100% failproof.

Better yet, run Linux. This computer (at work) is running Ubuntu Linux.

Ok the simplest way to get read of most common viruses is as soon as you realize it. Boot your PC into Safe mode, then do a system restore point to a date you know you didn't have any problems. and if you still have problems then you may have to reformat. It all depends on the virus you have. But Ive fixed several PC's by going into safe mode then doing a system restore and you don't lose all your shit either.
