ummmm, normally people shop for you for your birthday.

not the other way around. unless you're one of those people that goes out and shops for stuff, then wraps it up and tells the handful of people that come to the party that those packages are from relatives from far away and friends from your summer camp, just to give the illusion that you have more than 5 friends (counting the two that just came over for the food)

you'd be suprised. before my gf left me, we'd always shop seperately for each other. she always seemed to have tons of ideas for me, but i had NOTHING for her. so what i'd do was i'd go out and ceck the movie and music stores, and pick her up stuff that she liked/we'd seen in theaters and loved.

I'll be another example. For my anniversary with my ex-fiancee I booked a nice hotel room, took her to her first baseball game (since she loves baseball but never went to a pro game) and she took me to the zoo because I love polar bears in the same day and bought me a stuffed polar bear = happy me, plus a romantic dinner and a day in the city of Chicago... that night = damn straight got the goods lol.

look, i would have agreed with you all. however, about a week after i saw the first commercial for the snuggie (and that's a week of talking about how fucking retarded it was) i was sitting in my room, freezeing, reading a book and the though "damn i could use a snuggie" went throgh my head.

However, in his defense, for my birthday he got me the best present that anyone could ever get me.. a year's membership to the boca java club. every month for 12 months I got 3 new flavors of exotic coffee shipped to my door. That was awesome. Snuggie was fail though.

Oh that's terrible. I did the same thing that I suggested because she was in Wisconsin and I was in Boston, so I got her the blanket slept in it for 2 days so it had the scent of me, and got her a Build a Bear me. When she got it she said she went straight to bed with the blanket and bear because it had my scent which she loved.

She did the same thing for me, but actually a pillow case saying I love you *insert my name* in every language known to man... which I thought was super cute and I did sleep with it every night along with her Build a Bear and chocolates lol

well, since she was several sizes smaller than myself, i also gave her 2 of my shirts i wore a few times during the week as sleep shirts.

and, for our first anniversary (1 year), i bought this little photo-keychain thing and i ook a bunch of pictures of the two of us from certain times (my junior prom, beach vacation, camping trips, etc...) as well as just ones of us being together and i loaded it up and gave it to her.

so don't say that guys can't et sentimental, because we can. we just have to switch our brains off of "normal, sensible" to "psychotic, sentimental".
