dude I'm a uber fan of the fallout series, the second I saw it available for pre order, I ordered it.

the pre order was also cheaper during the pre order special weekend, as was fallout 3, morrowind, and oblivion.

I enjoy saving money on games I know for a fact I'm gonna buy lol.

the only reason starcraft 2 is being released in stages is cause the single player campaign now has like 60 missions per race. the first SC had like 30 missions for all the races.

This though is basically like Crysis, and Crysis: Warhead. Two different games, same engine and graphics but different story. If FO3:NV is a game on it's own in the sense that you can do everything you could in the first one, plus a little extra, just in a completely different place with different players, then it's an expansion.. Expansion of the original FO3 world.

so this game is Awesome... 2 the point where I don't think id honestly ever play fallout 3 again...... I do miss the overall feel of the wastes... the cannibals... and the feel of every 1 trying 2 survive on a daily basis... in new vegas ppl are far better off, you can live off the land, crops are grown... it's far more stable.

-what I like most of all about this is how they made it so you only get a perk point every second lvl so you can't just get all the perks and be a God
-iron sights make vats not even needed, giving the game a real FPS feel
-you don't spend jack shit for time in buildings or subways. so you're not seeing the same shit over and over and over... in this 1 you're just running around the Mojave doing tasks for people constantly... the odd time you get asked 2 go into a building or vault, but it's real rare.
-a SHITLOAD of side quests... I heard there's 100 hours worth of side quests now so that's just strait up awesome.... ive been doing side quests non stop for like 14 hours, havent even done 2 much in the main story line....
-new vegas gives a far greater sense of realism... there's multiple factions, and an endless stream of people you can talk with and get quests from in the game... in fallout 3 there was what the 3 main city's... and a few little towns that's about it, new vegas BLOWS fallout 3 of out the water, in terms of having more 2 do, and more ppl 2 converse with. it's almost overwhelming sometimes....
-mailing system rules, you can now send your stuff from 1 place 2
-upgraded graphics
-weapon mods are sick, and fun.


and what I didn't like about it.....
basically just all the glitches and problems they're having with it. I don't know why they would have released the game when it was clearly not ready. they've been releasing patches and what not 2 fix things constantly, but still... why release it if it's ont ready...

so yeah... other then the glitch issues and the odd freeze, this game is fucking amazing and makes fallout 3 look more like the original fallout when compared 2 new vegas... new vegas is awesome. id give this game 9/10

I found my self at times over whelmed with how often a quest would branch off.

I loved this part of the game, where you get a quest from the first host and you have options regarding completing the quest given, options like kill whom ever help whom ever find a civil and diplomatic soultion ect. im going on 55 hours of game play and i havnt even done half of what i can only imagine is left in the game.

I love love love The weapon options and ammo reloading ect.

Iv found so many crazy Unique special weapons io cant even remember them all.

This man speaks the truth. Can't stress enough how satisfying it is to chop people's heads off and smack people 50 feet away in this game.

at lvl 15 with a ballistic fist and a perk that lets me knock anything to the ground for 10 sec's ... well lets just say in vault 34 simple ghouls..

i was at crit rad posioning, out of doctor bags, my Companion died, all but my legs were crippled, 4 stim packs left, suffering from buffout withdrawl, minor starvation, minor dehydration and finnaly my ballistic fist breaks leaving me with nothing but a 10mm submach...

So yeah, I sided with Ceasar's Legion, and he wanted me to kill the president.

The issue is that my character is all melee.

So what I did was get a bunch of stealth boys, hid at the top of the stairs where the president came out, and then as he came up to me uppercut his head right off.

None of the Rangers even freaked out. It was great.

How did you get your FPS to stay solid, even while using FRAPs?

recomment you turn antialiasing off and anisotropic filtering off to will give your frames a boost when recording

so running the game with fallout mod manager seems 2 fix the majority of problems. sinse I started running it with FOM ive not had 1 crash or problem... frame rate seems 2 be higher also... Nice:wtg:

what kinda pisses me off is the lack of doctors and/or radaways. i "accidentally" killed the doctor in the start town and now my rad lvl is like 950 with the occasional decrease when i find a rad away

well it really wasnt an accident, i killed him during a mission to rob him of his medical supplies. it was one of the "evil" missions i accepted from that powder ganger leader dude. although i ended up killing him as well. im kinda trigger happy

yes, but as i've stated before i am very trigger happy. i've killed numerous "good" characters as well as plenty of bad.

hahaha yea, ill prolly just start over again. although it is fun as hell to be bad. like in fallout 3 i killed every single living person in megaton. that kinda screwed things up a bit :p

Hey im trying to make a good melee/berserker character could anyone help me out on the starting build i should use?

just read what the special stats do (strength, agil) make your guy and start unlocking the melee perks as you lvl, pretty simple.

Gah, I got the game. I've gotten to the part where I meet Benny. He pulled a quick one on my eyes and now I have to visit the Legion. Vulpes said something about me having a "mark of safety" MY ASS it's like he gave me the mark of death. Do I have to wear Legion armor in order to visit them, or do I have to just leave all my pals behind, because I had gotten a companion mod.


Will just wearing my regular armor get me through safely? I'm want to punch Benny so hard right now.

Never mind, the problem was Boone. Anyways after those douche bags made me go to their leader. I recruited 2 other companions (more than 1 companion mod) with Boone, called in NCR support and wrecked their Cottonwood base.

I got a very nice magnum and hunting rifle from them. I'm not a fan of their chainsaws though.
