fucking latency

ok i tried to connect to a couple of servers on my favorites list, not specifically ibis. every time i entered any server my latency is above 400...i have no background programs running other than the programs i usually run along with steam, such as antivirus and firewall, neither of which are updating. and my latency only seems to rise as i stay on the server. surprise is im not very laggy, in fact i myself can see no lag. any ideas as to why this would happen?

yea unplugging etc didnt work. calling the company for an "easy" fix made me even more agitated. have to wait till sunday to get it fixed (all the while, paying for internet thats not even working correctly)

Yup. I could've chosen any MOS I wanted with my asvab score, but I graduated as valedictorian and wanted to prove to myself that I could also do the toughest of the tough.

So I chose to enlist in the marines as a rifleman. I'll never regret it. Best decision of my life. I still remember the parade deck when I was finally given the title.

lol. This is why I can't talk to a Jarhead. Always with a chip on their shoulder because they get the short end of the stick in all "5" of the branches. Do yourself a favor. You basically took the same amount of dedication as everyone else in the military. Don't pedestal yourself because you feel so "inferior" to everyone else. I have love and respect for Perry, scribbles, mikey, rape, Jigsaw (because he hasn't come with some condescending attitude such as yours), and look forward to serving. as for the blanket comments about the army not getting stuff done, i dont agree or disagree. our command structure way overthinks shit in the afgan. but then again im not overly familiar with afgan. i do however know of MANY blue on blue engagements because marines are too stupid to know what a military convoy looks like. either that or they really just wanted to help out the terrorists.

as for my earlier post, i was mildly drunk and a bit raging i apologize for that.

dont make fun of the navy, yes they are all homosexuals, but they were an intregal part of world war 2 and most wars of the 20th century. just because they arent a huge part of the current conflict doesnt mean theyre worthless

yeah, the lag is horrible, but i think zero applied the most recent valve update which reduced lag like crazy

my fps was good but my ping jumped about 700 ms, and i know it has to do with the update not my isp, because it only happened after the update. just try waiting it out, worked for me ;) :chillpill:
