How did he/she abuse: I was permanently muted for playing music. He said he did warn me, which I believe, but he was DEAD. I was ALIVE. Alive people CANNOT see anything that DEAD people type into chat. THEREFORE, I technically was NOT warned. He then threatened to ban me after I called him an idiot.

one of the obvious good things i learned while i was admin was to warn people in admin chat and over mic, as it leaves no room for error (unless the person is retarded)

yes. perma mute is applied as long as the player is on the server, but if you think the player wont repeat the offense we use timed mute.

He is correct. Since the update, mutes for a certain amount of time last until the time has passed in real time. I permanent mute will last forever or if someone unmutes him.

All mutes in the server are now permanent. I have not temporarily muted someone in awhile. They are all now perm mutes so they are no longer until you disconnect or the next map changes. They last until an admin unmutes you. Do we need to review the dictionary for the meaning of permanent?
