im trying to start up css and the little screen pops up that says preparing to launch steam but it never launches.

what can i do to fix this?

try ending steam as a process and restarting. happens to me sometimes

what she said. with all the valve updates, steam sometimes gets confused and will look for an update wout finding one, yet refuses to believe said update doesn't exist
