Well I have become genuinely displeased with my latest antivirus software (Symantec) because it's a piece of shit (and free) and I am currently testing out new programs. What AV software do you all use?

I used malwarebytes and thought it was pretty good
NOD32 period. It is the best you can get hands down, also yes your old AV was a pos, I never touched that shit and have warred people for almost 10 years about it.

I've tried about everything that was free and was generally displeased. The AV software we got was free from Virginia Tech. I never really liked Mcafee because the detection rate was rather poor. I have heard great things about two AV software products, NOD32 and VIPRE.

I haven't found a free antivirus that I really like... I used to use AVG, but it started sucking, so now I use Avast.
NOD32 is a very reputable AV, but of course isn't free.
Your #1 antivirus is the left mouse button. I haven't had any viruses for my AV to worry about for years now.

:wtg::wtg: I wish I had more arms so I could give this more thumbs up. Nod32 hands down.

Norton sux, they even create a virus to cure the virus to show u it's working. McAfee is similar but no creative shit. Panda used to be my fav for years but they have gotten so complex that they use WAY to much of your PC's resources to run their program, like many AV progs of today.
AVG is stil a good prog although there may be better out there but the resource drain is minimal and catch most of the viruses and malaware so use SPYBOT for bot infestation.
If you're gonna pay for a AV prog then ZERO is spot on pretty much,
Google the AV scenarios for a compilation of comparisons to make your own decision.

no mention of MSE yet? for shame
kaspersky has too many false positives. It also costs more money that others that do not have as many problems.
Paying for Avast and loving it.

False positives piss me off a bunch when im sending stuff to my friends. "Oh there is a virus on this website!" Oh screw you, no there isnt. (http://home.starsmine.operaunite.com/) the false positive came from some other jackass sharing a virus through opera unite. Thing is each user is in control of there account, opera unite doesnt host squat its just a portal to my HDD.
