This is a wonderful, wonderful day for me and thousands of other anime fans.
After the heartbreaking finale of K-ON, a MOVIE was announced!

Whether this will follow the girls in their college years or be completely independent from the original 4koma remains to be seen, however the chances are good.

I haven't looked at anything outside of the preview but I am really hoping this is a success. As much as I love the characters and concept of K-On, season two started to drag on me, and I wound up getting my emotional ending from the manga alone. Hopefully with tight pacing, some epic music, and great animation this movie will be one for the ages however.
