Today, we honor the men and women who have fought under America's flag. Veterans Day marks a historic armistice and salutes all U.S. veterans, many of whom served during our country's wars and conflicts.

+1 to all those serving as we speak as well
Yep today is a great day. My uncle is up here visiting us. He retired from active duty after 20 years as a helicopter pilot and mechanic. Retired as a captain, and now works for the army at the Bell Aviation plant in Texas representing the army, and testing out the latest choppers. Makes 6 figures a year now.
Plus tomorrow i get to go shooting with him and try out his 9mm :D

Something my dad sent me.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

For all who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, thank you. Without you we would not have the truly great freedom that we Americans take for granted.
