I figured this would be a better place to post about the game rather than someone's "Unban Me" thread.

MBP, There is a star wars mod, or at least a reskin at twcenter.com. The only prob is learning how to mod the files manually to put skins/new units in and shit. Once you learn it you get addicted and completely change the game.

As far as how easy it is. I can agree with that but only cuz I play a bootleg copy with version 1.0 where you can bribe a full stack for like 3k gold. But I stray away from doing that due to the ezmode factor. Other than that Greek Armored Hoplites/Spartan hoplite combo with calvary protecting flank > everything I've come across besides elephants of course, and they look especially badass with the various custom skins released on the internet. But if you want true ezmode go with Parthians since they start with Horse Archers (omg so lame) just run the opposite direction firing endless arrows at their pursuers. The only thing that can stop them is more Horse Archers lol. Or foot archers which get mowed down by Cataphracts anyways.

Well if you are into turn based strategy games than yes you are ignorant, but if you have no affiliation with this community than no.

R: TW actually started as software used by the National Geographic/History Channel in their digital recreations of famous battles. The developers decided to make it into a game after they realized the obvious marketability of it. I believe it even got a few "Best RTS" awards the year it originally came out

You're right about the History Channel using it for the digital recreations, but the game was already in development before it was used for that. The medieval total war games are pretty fun too, if you're really into this kind of rts.

As for awards/recognition:

PC Gamer (UK): All time 5th best PC game "95%"
IGN: Editor's Choice Award, 4th Best PC Game of all Time.
PC Gamer (US): Editor's Choice, Best Strategy Game of 2004
GameSpot: Editor's Choice, Strategy Game of 2004
Adrenaline Vault: Seal of Excellence
GameSpy: Editor's Choice
E3 2003 Game Critics Awards: Best Strategy Game
X-Play: 5 out of 5
PC Powerplay: 95%

I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that the Total War series (all of which base themselves around large scale RTS combat) goes like this

Shogun: Total War
Medieval: Total War
Rome: Total War
Medieval II: Total War
Empire: Total War---- Scheduled to Release Feb. of next year.

Here's the wiki page
