Hi guys, I thought when Zero is gonna finish all of the old races and begin to create new, it would be awsome if he would create a new race called Angry Kitty, it shall have a skin of the cat, it cant use any weapons including knife.

Powers
Kittys Paws: Silent running
Agility of a cat: Speed, Levitate
Hair jump: after death Kitty have a chance of leaching on to an enemy and slowly kill him than reincarnate
Im gonna fire in my LAZOR: cat gets angry and fires a lazer beem 7-25 dmg +ability
Kitty goes BOOM!!!: cat explodes and does massive damage

it's common sense. if we made a class based on your name... then EVERY 1 would request the same....

and honestly the only person who deserves 2 have a race named after them would be chronic cause due 2 his cancer he lost 1 of his hands now, and can no longer play as a result.

it's not that I thought the race was a bad idea, it was more the people requesting for races 2 be made and named after thir in game names.

There is a race similar to that in joinWCS. It's called Mythical Pistoleer. It got various effect bullets like extra damage, freeze, poison, slowdown, and my favorite....clip destruction. It could only spawn with a deagle and it got extra ammo for each level it had in its skills.

Also I believe there is a GunSlinger race as well.

if we're making actual suggestions, i have 2 from before:

splinter cell
(spawn w/ usp and tmp)
20%invis. to start, player model colored black like hells demon
skills:
blend (gain additional invis., up to 60%)
sink in shadows(gain even more invis when standing still, up to additional 20% to bring total possible to 80%)
nimble(low grav, not quite as much as flame pred)
takedown(deal increased knife damage)
Ultimate:
vision mode(passive, see invisible enemies at distance, 10-100 feet)


it's meant to be a completely anti vaga class. they take advantage of vagabond's/vagalion's inhearent weaknesses: they must hear or see the enemy. also, with the ultimate the splinter cell would be able to see the vaga, and boom.


second, is this
Reaper(or oyster)
(knife only race, maybe add a glock)
float: levitate (not quite as much as flame pred)
incorporeal: evasion (maybe a bit more than spider man)
reap: every kill you make w/ the knife gives you +10-30 hp, overheal possible
claim: each kill you make w/ knife has chance (30-80) o giving you a soul. souls grant you +3-8 hp at spawn
fear: increased knife dmg (not much)
ultimate:
rekoning: speed boost for 2-8 sec, approx. 200% boost, damage w/ knife quadrupled during this charge. cooldown: unknown

this one is based off of a combination of succubus hunter, flame pred, and xonvert. essentially, it's the grim reaper. the knife could possibly have extended range and a diff. skin for this race only (looks like scythe). i was thinking of giving it inc. speed, but decided that that would be too much like flame pred. likewise, i thought maybe longjump instead of levitate, but figured this fit better, and added the speed boost as the ult. yes, i know it's alot like demoman w/ eyelander+targe from tf2, so kavinski i'm going to head you off and say stay the fuck out of this topic. you don't play wcs. not sure about level requirement for this thing, but probably high considering it's pretty powerful. maybe around jack level, or a bit higher.
oh yeah, alt. name is oyster because whenever you kill someone w/ a knife, game plays a cowbell clip (those that understand win, those that don't, fail)

i like blades and aco's suggestions.
specially hulk and the reaper

1 suggestion i'd add to blade's is that the hulk power leap be activated by the +ability not be in slow motion, so basically u ricochet in the air and land... possibly limit the damage taken by the fall 5 HP?
so it kinda limits u to a few jumps per turn so that its not over powered but at the same time be more hulk-alike instead of low grav jump?


i will make a "race suggestion" thread, where people would post a suggestion about NON OVER POWERED/FAVORITED races! that could actually be considered a WCS.
keep in mind it is a discussion thread, so it's just a way to share our WCS fantasies, for those who want to bitch about the race, do so, but say WHY the race fails or is OP, and keep in mind not all races, if any , would actually be taken seriously :P

Immortal (based from SC2)

5 levels
Spawn with pump shotgun and deagle (race limited to these and nades)

Hardened shield: Your shield protects you. 20-60% chance to reduce the damage of incoming attacks to a maximum of 70-30 damage
Pushback: The force of your attacks cause the opponent to loose their balance. 10-40% chance of shaking your opponents screen
Regeneration: Regenerate your shield. Regain 2 hp every 5-1 seconds
Hand cannon: Payback time. All damage is doubled for 3-10 seconds

In starcraft, the immortal is the tank of your army. He leads, and soaks up any meaningful damage from the enemy. He is however vulnerable to fast firing units like the marine, because the hardened shield only limits the maximum damage in one hit. This translates over to WCS in that the hardened shield will do very little to submachines etc. The immortal also deals massive damage to armoured units but does relatively poorly vs unarmoured. But its kind of hard to translate that into WCS, thus the ultimate. It could be immortality, but then I think it would be too like shadow hunter, what with the regen as well. The shotgun seems to be the most logical gun to give it, since the immortal does slow but powerful hits

In WCS, this race is would basically be for rushing in head first, dealing damage with the shotgun, then getting out and regening. The immortal leads. In terms of items to restrict, I think the helm might be an option, because of the hardened shield ability. Other items, I dont know, Ill let you decide

Race Name: Spy
Number of Levels: 6
Weapons: TMP/ KNIFE only


Undercover: 60% invisibilty (max)

Watch ur 6: max 30% chance of having opponent swivel 180 degrees in place when they damage you.

Stealth: Speed boost (max speed = 130%) while footsteps sound decreases to zero.

Shoot first, ask Later: Non-headshot TMP damage progressively reduced (until 50%) while Headshot damage increase until 175% max (interesting if other player has helm lol)

Ultimate:
007 Wannabe:Activate to disguise yourself as an enemy for 5~10 seconds with knife only with Double Knife damage, then returns to normal with tmp back.

(cooldown: 30 seconds)
(Cooldown at start of round: 15 seconds)
(Required Level: 100)


numbers are just a sample, im sure zero can give me better numbers to balance compared to other races, i'm just suggesting the skills.

Ok, so I posted inside the WCS Races section an idea for a new race, not cause I think im special or anything but because we got one superhero already, why not another? And because I think im special....lol...jk Ok, so here's my idea.

Class: Superman
Specs:
1. Speed (run/fly speed increased)
2. Strength (Extra Damage)
3. Armor (Can't be bullet proof so how about life and armor instead, increase value by 10 points per lvl, 8 - 10 lvls.)
4. Lasers (instead of the ability to knife, he shoots lasers in front of him that does damage = to that of a knife or starting pistol)
5. Fly/Teleport (Seeings how superman is faster than a speeding bullet and no one can see him with their eyes, I would recommend Teleportation. Flying wouldn't be bad either except, flying sucks on wcs servers.)

Level to obtain: 500+ range due to its extremely helpfull bonus's

Objects you can buy to help/damage class:
Kryptonite bullets (increase damage on superman by a lot. :) )
X-Ray goggles (Superman has the ability to see through objects, though giving someone walls would be EPIC, it would also be OP. But, if you were willing to spend 16,000 on a pair and be left with no weapons. Then thats not a bad idea. :)

I would like your idea's and opinions. Again, I am being serious about the class and about it NOT being because im special. I think it would be really cool to have a superman class. So please lets keep this relevant. Thank you.

Level: 6
Weapon: Knife (only)
Limited 1 per team


Ablities
Plague: 2.5% damage return per level, 15% at max

Hook: Similar to Spider Man's Webline, but can also target on players. 20 seconds initial cooldown, reduce cooldown by 2.5 seconds per level, 5 seconds cooldown at max

Rotting Flesh: Chance to avoid abilities (not including ultimate) 5% per level, 30% at max

Regeneration: Regenerate 2.5 HP every 3 seconds per level, 15 HP at max

Ultimate
Dead Man Walking: Increase maximum HP by 800 per level, 4800 HP at max. Also reduce run speed by 10% per level, 60% at max

Not allowed to use following items:
Boots of Speed
Ring of Regeneration
Helm of the Black Legion
Cloak of Shadows


This was one of my favorite class on another warcraft server that I used to play in. I'm not really sure about the exact stats, so I just came up with the numbers on my own lol.

i have a few race ideas but before i post them i thought id ask abnout what is even possible in WCS via textures and effects.

some ideas for races are holograms (for a master cheif race), color change effect (like when hit player sees strobe) instead of like a black screen it would be a fast color change like a strobe light. is it possible to add effects like water ? (for a trident and kraken race)

player skins? like when ultimate is activated player skin changes for a brief second then reverts back to normal skin (for maybe mythical god races i.e. Zues)

how bout a counter race for eva, called ketulu (or how ever you spell it lol)

i just feel like most of our imaginations are limited to what we actually know is possible for WCS. if nore then what we understand is possible tis could get very interesting.

and ironically, cuthulu is VERY similar to the Angels (the beings the EVA were made to kill) so EVA should completely destroy cuthulu

Level: 200
Weapon: Any
Limited 1 per team

Powers:

The player have reduced speed

Force Jump: levitation
Force Push: pushes the enemy away (if they are shooting at you)
Force Sence: Vader can feel if there are any enemies near (radar like behind walls )
The Choke: +ultimate an enemy player cant use any weapon gets lifted up in the air and slowly dying. (amount of damage delt is depended on ultimate level)

Armor: Hp and starting armor is increased but speed is reduces
Clip update: more ammo in the gun (like 5 per lvl)
Gun Training: faster shooting with the scout
Aim and shoot: Next shot will do 3x damage (lvl 1 1.5x,lvl2 1 6.lvl3 1.8, lvl4 2.2, lvl5 2.6 lvl6 3x)

Im almost invincible: gives more hp
Say hello to my little friend: Para have a chance to do double damage ( like 10%)
Sneak: if player is standing still he becomes 60% invisible
Para rage: player cannot move but para shots 5 times faster and have unlimited bullets for 10 seconds max.

A mighty kick: +ability, his kick is so powerful that kicks everyone off the server
Strength of a bear: have 9999999 hp, just run away and prey not to get kicked by him.
Fast like a tiger: speed is increased, Cant run from him now
Mighty eye: when he is looking at the player, and uses an ultimate the player gets banned for 5 min.

These two are really good ideas for any future race but I would change one thing about both.

Get rid of the invulnerability and this is a bad ass ability

System Reboot:
Instead of resetting spawn values, reset to 50-75% of spawn value and this is a bad ass ability as well.

i fully agree with scribbles here on those two skills except for the second

15 seconds seems like an awfuly long time for someone who might need to do the objective. what if the time was a standerd rate of per-say 5 seconds and each skill point increaded how much health armor you restored up to max including the spawn values as scribbles suggested

I'll be back seems ridiculous for defusing bombs. Teleport to bomb, as well as invuln and invis for TEN secs? if it ported you there, and then 1 foot up in the air, so that you couldn't defuse/plant, it would be alright, probably.
Other than that, I like it. (Oh, also agree with the people saying 15s is too long.)

alright i will do some editing to my above post :

"I'll be back" is going to the future, obviously these minor concerns such as defusing bomb or wtvr would be taken care off by making it FOR EXAMPLE that the race would be "frozen" above ground so that they cant plant or defuse the bomb. the skill is made for strategy purposes. but for the sake of argument, u can make the race still vulnerable to ultimates , like a chain lightning nearby or wtvr, and have the invulnerability only be against non-race-skill damage. if thats not enough , i'll try to see how it works without it :)
scribs, vaga can teleport anytime and become invisible, but he can still knife or deactivate ultimate and do it again.
when u;re stuck for 10 seconds wITHOUT moving or knifing or shooting, u cant do shit, if ppl were in battle with u they can target u on radar, but they could wait the time to shoot u since u cant shoot them... its like a molecule shield without the ability to shoot, and a vaga invisible without the ability to turn it off at will... plus u only got 5 of those to use carefully.

as for the reboot thing, the numbers are a sample, i agree with scribble and mikey, it should be both reset to 75% and have a smaller time, say ~10 secs (in between average number) and obviously u get more % of ur stats back the more u level it .

gonna double post for documentation purposes:
race will no longer be invulnerable when going to the future.
this solves both scribbs's concern and frv's since when invisible, they can still try to defuse, but they can still be shot at and they cant move or do shit about it (also not to mention u'd have to teleport "well" close to the bomb in order to plant or defuse it, bcos if u fail at the distance u have to wait 10 secs and u;re screwed lol...

reboot has been edited as mentionned above.
give me feeedback please :)

its balanced, say u had like a 100 hp , u use it once, by the time u get ur other cool down , u'd be in 50 hp for example.

its balanced, say u had like a 100 hp , u use it once, by the time u get ur other cool down , u'd be in 50 hp for example.

well. that depend on the map, if u gonna use it on carack house fr example u probably will be able to wipe out an entire enemy team cause everything is really close.

everything graphic would be to be added later, heck i wouldnt mind the race spawning like that, or have an electric portal when it teleports, or a small nuke when exploding lol , but we can all be creative, but it will depend on what is available ,as mikey said above !

The nuke might be a little overpowered for small maps. more like Cript lord on steroids, It might be a passive death skill like the one that undead have but of course its more powerfull

The numbers shown are a sample MAXED RACE values. i.e the values increase or decrease to balance, im only suggesting the skills.

Race Name: Pokemon Master
Number of Levels: 5

Squirtle: 25 % chance that Squirtle's spinning shell protects you from damage done by enemy attack.

Bulbasaur 25 % chance that Bulbasaur's solar beam finally activates for double critical damage.

Charizard
Activate +ability so that Charizard's flamethrower creates a burning ward that sets players who touch it on damaging fire. 25% chance that Charizard goes rogue (LOL) and that ward affects you too
( max 5 Flame Wards)

Pikachu Hold +ability1 for pikachu to activate Quick Attack. Player's transparency starts "blinking" and player's speed and levitation is doubled: For total seconds "X" that the button was held, there is a 3X% chance that pikachu receives 3X% recoil damage. (prevents spamming)

Ok, so I posted inside the WCS Races section an idea for a new race, not cause I think im special or anything but because we got one superhero already, why not another? And because I think im special....lol...jk Ok, so here's my idea.

Class: Superman
Specs:
1. Speed (run/fly speed increased)
2. Strength (Extra Damage)
3. Armor (Can't be bullet proof so how about life and armor instead, increase value by 10 points per lvl, 8 - 10 lvls.)
4. Lasers (instead of the ability to knife, he shoots lasers in front of him that does damage = to that of a knife or starting pistol)
5. Fly/Teleport (Seeings how superman is faster than a speeding bullet and no one can see him with their eyes, I would recommend Teleportation. Flying wouldn't be bad either except, flying sucks on wcs servers.)

Level to obtain: 500+ range due to its extremely helpfull bonus's

Objects you can buy to help/damage class:
Kryptonite bullets (increase damage on superman by a lot. )
X-Ray goggles (Superman has the ability to see through objects, though giving someone walls would be EPIC, it would also be OP. But, if you were willing to spend 16,000 on a pair and be left with no weapons. Then thats not a bad idea.

I would like your idea's and opinions. Again, I am being serious about the class and about it NOT being because im special. I think it would be really cool to have a superman class. So please lets keep this relevant. Thank you.

mann i cant fucking wait for zero to finish the old races, im pretty sure that my Terminator , spy and Pokemon Master can be a great addition to the races, as well as other races ive seen here (altho some of them are a bit OP lol... ppl shouldve worked on disadvantages for their races, not just advantages lol)

Butt Slap: Heals surrounding teammates (20 yards) for (2/4/6/8/10/12) every 5 (maybe 3?)seconds, up to a maximum of 75.

Hail Mary: When under 10% of total health (this way, injury resistance affects this ability), grenades do an extra (75/150/225/300/375/450)% damage. (and possibly, nade kills when under 10% heal you for 50 health)

Ultimate - 4th Quarter Comeback: When you are the last surviving member on your team, you revive the first member from your team who was killed during the round with (15/30/45/60/75/90) health and summon them to your location. You both deal an extra (2/4/6/8/10/12) damage with each shot.

I'm no programmer but this looks hard as hell to script. Could also be reduced to 4 or 5 levels if it seems too OP. 'Twas fun making this up though.

Ultimate, Rage: Get angry for 6-12 seconds, increasing damage by 50%, speed by 300% and making you immune to ultimates. (like lace) 30 second cooldown.

Keep in mind that speed by 300 on the ultimate is based off the fact you are slowed by the first skill, so its maybe twice as fast as normal.

So this race is going to be like a tank walking around, real slow but real tough to kill.

Ability: Time dilation: Puts down a ward that does no damage but drastically slows enemies within its radius and blurs their screen (slows fire rate if possible). Also a sound effect that lets you know when someones being affected by the ward. 3 wards per round

Pause: Bash; same proc rate as human

Ultimate: Rewind: Similar to genocide ultimate

Death Pact: Killing an enemy would grant you a health bonus around 5-15 per kill not sure exactly but then again its a work in progress.

Unholy Aura: Similar to the undead scourge except maybe decrease the speed and allow a minor regen of health of around 1-5 similar to the shadow hunter's healing wave.

Soul Siphon: ranged similar to the orc or raiden but leeches somewhere from 5-20 maybe health for each enemy within range. Or

Death Aura: A Passive Ultimate that removes corpses from the map preventing people from getting resurrected and each one grants health/ammo/armor/money etc.

So what do you think guys I would like some feedback if possible.

One more Idea I'd like to throw out there.

Priestess of The Moon 20 level Race limit 1-2 probably 1

Trueshot Aura: Similar to the Night Elf's just doing less damage maybe for balance sake.

Searing Arrows: The chance to light an enemy on fire for 2-5 damage for perhaps .5-2.5 secs?

Inescapable Eyes of the Owl: Being able to see invisible units by being highlighted in yellow for perhaps 20-100ft perfect against Vagabond and Humans and the like.

Starfall/Starfury: Either an ability to increase grenade damage like the Orc and Genocide's Critical or a weapon critical of small percentile that does 50+ damage.

Shadowmeld: Similiar to the Rapscallions complete invisibility except you can't use your weapons at all(including knife) to prevent unfairness and also a high cool down of maybe 30 for starters after its use.

Yeah I would like feedback on this as well. Tell me what you think and also its come to my attention that our WCS server has a lot races capable of resurrection but not enough healers. So I'm thinking of creating a Paladin and/or Druid/Seer to fulfill those needs.

Explanation: Late night brainstorm on a full team-support race. Theres alot of possibilities with this race, but the basic idea behind it was a very fragile race that brought alot to the team by being a full blown healer with a twist, their limit being their own health. Unlike the shadowhunter that heals nearby teammates, this race can heal all teammates on the map (using Blood Transfusion like crypt lord hits anyone on the map), however they have to give up their own HP and cannot heal themselves. The only way they can heal themselves is by damaging enemies, like an Undead. The only thing I'm unsure was the balance of their ultimate, which may or may not fly, so I offered possible alternatives incase it was too much. Another factor I had to include beyond not allowing more than 1 per team was also restricting use of the Shadow Hunter so it cannot heal the Blood Priest. Its weakness would obviously be that they're super easy to kill, even a stray ultimate could blow them up (especially if lace is restricted).

Question: Is it possible to suicide (for their ultimate) without it affecting kdr? I only ask this because I know dieing by the bomb explosion causes no kdr change. Can that be coded for other things as well?

for POTM i think the ulti should make everyone on your team invisible for 1-5 seconds but the invis runs off when they use any ability or weapon.

It wasn't overpowered, in my opinion it was just right. I dont know if it would be hard to add, but i really do hope we get this into the server because it is a fun race and also a good old one.

Filled with hate, he tracks their bloodsense and slows them down before he devour's them. A blood Elf is a heartless race made for killing anyone with in its range. Enemy to the other Elf's, the blood elf is a lonely and terrible creature made only for its sole purpose of killing anyone in its path.

I revised this because my original post contained what was from the older warcraft mod which was an actual race but it was maxed out at 10 lvls. I revised this with the hope that it fits better with the newer mod and would be better suited to compete against all the newer races. This is a real race that was used before and i hope that with some tweaking we could use it again:) sometime after the current races get released.

The ultimate will require some lvl of skill. You will need to be facing an enemy for it to work and the range would be equivalent to how far to can Tele with a human.

Lewd Photographs: Lewd Photographs: (3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24)% Chance upon hitting enemy to jizz on their screen (short, minor flashbang effect, similar to beast's blind)

Hail Mary: When under 20% of total health (this way, injury resistance affects this ability), grenades do an extra (50/100/150/200/250/300/350/400)% damage, and damage caused by grenades heals you for 10% of damage caused (maximum of 70 hp).

Ultimate (passive) - 4th Quarter Comeback: When you are the last surviving member on your team, you revive the first two members from your team who were killed during the round with (10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80) health and summon them to your location. hail mary seems kinda op but keep in mind it can only happen if the player just barely survives, and it will only happen once before grenades go back to doing normal damage, which is pretty shitty.

Tim Hortons: 5-25% chance of blinding an enemy when shooting them by pouring black coffee on them (screen black waterfall effect)

Maple Syrop: 5-25% chance to slow down an enemy 10-50% for 2 seconds with sticky maple syrop when shooting them.

Ultimate: Taxed Bacon! (25? seconds cooldown)
Every enemy in 25-60 feet range will not be able to move for 5-12s (~1.5xthe entangling root) because they are wrapped by good old canadian tasty bacon! but enemies recover 2-5Hp/s when entangled to balance it, and prevent spamming ult like other nightelf, athena, bloodmage etc..

Cloak of Darkness: Start with 20-70% invisibility.


Infrared Vision: Spawn skill, 10-20% chance of revealing a cloaked/invisible enemy 10-50 ft away, if looking at their direction. (works like a flashlight with full visibility though, but this way you don't give away your position like a flashlight.)


Electric Sense:Damage any enemies in 10-50 ft radius for 1-5 dmg/s. The sound of the close range defense sensor should giveaway direction of enemy. This skill is helpful to make it hard for races to sneak up on u, like an invis vaga.


Supersonic Radar: Activate +ability to emit a hidden ultrasound that "beacons" all enemies in a 50-100 ft radius for 5-10 seconds (can also be shown on radar if anyone cares at that point.).
Max usage: 5 times, if no enemy in radius, a supersonic will go to waste for balance. (you'd need to use them in a smart way)
(i was thinking of making people holding lace OR anti_wards (item against +ability ) immune? or do i keep it as strength point?)


Ultimate: Phasor (20 second cooldown)
Get "NOCLIP" effect (damage-able tho), basically getting +30% speed and making you able to phase through walls and objects for 5-10 seconds with ONLY a knife. If timer runs out and the player is phased in an object, they die. (risk taking race)

The idea is that a player could "sense" a player through walls etc using its abilities and phase through walls to try to get a surprise buttsex knife on them campers , without getting stuck. This race is meant to be a gd support race against OP races.

I also like sensor.... it takes things in a new direction we've not gone before and is also well balanced from what I see.

it doesnt have to be the same no clip we use in game... it can be any kind of into-wall movement, even slower, that doesnt have to be that awesomely precise.. the numbers are just crunched numbers for visualization.

also , a huge risk if the guy is shot or attacked when in no clip, if they cant smartly run away without having a foot stuck in the ground, they'll die. so not tHAT op .
and its not an anti-vagabond race only. surely thats its strength, specially a lot of people keep bitching about changing vagabond etc.. but this race is also nice for people that take their time around corners, with a passive dmg/s ability at close range, and ability to spot people and stalk them at long range.

also, what about the fucking canadian!! :P

I assumed it would be some kind of revised plan on no clip as you stated... as obviously no clip is some serious shit... and we gave it strait up... 5-10 seconds is WAYYY 2 long of having it IMO... it would need a time limit 2 get through maybe 1 single wall and that's it kind of deal. but time issues and technicalities aside, I like the idea.

Tbh... Most of these race ideas, though they mayvbe well thought out, are horrible. Try brainstorming a race in respects to how it will work independently and with a team. Creating a "joke" race would portray our server as a joke. Let's keep it level headed and professional here.

restrict all items except -glove -lace -claws -orb -ankh -anti_ward

Arm implant: makes knife damage increase with every level

Leg implant: Makes you faster and jump higher with every level

chest implant: increases your health up to a max of 200 every level

And

Ultimate:

Eye implant: for 1-10 seconds see enemy icons on radar (for lace they would not appear)

This one came to me just now ingame. although I am restraining on asking that for the ultimate the user be able to see everyone within 10-100 feet through the walls, due to it being OP and probably harder to code.

Lightning strike: Chane of crit.

Meditation: ability, choose between +50 hp or hp regen.

Had the idea to make it be a counter race for spidey and other op whored races. It's essentially human with out the cloak.

I did not say all race suggestions where horrible and as far as the WCS server is concerned, nerfs upgrades new races and any changes made, i take fairly serious. Dont let my occasional joke convince you otherwise. I see some race suggestions that are not conventional, would be hard to create, and pay little use in the server when finished. I guess at the end of the day, id much rather see this thread not be used to fantasize about some silly race idea but a thread used to discuss conventional race ideas that would make a substantial difference in the server. Examples like, yours, blakmails adam, mine, and even spasms tank race.

I do inderstand that a race with more team procs like revive etc might benefit other failure players that cant hold their own in game, but that doesnt mean that all the races should be team support for ur maxxed human, or a vaga or other overplayer race.

Some races sugestions are dumb for sure, or at least too overpowered (like the jesus thing i found it op), but it doesnt hurt to have a fun SURVIVAL RACE like the canadian ( the name is stupid, i know, i only chose the names out of boredom, but its skills make it a very fun race to play and it doesnt have a single skill that is too hard to code.

And then u have the sensor, believe or not mikey this was ZERO himself's suggested idea. We were playing in wcs and he mentionned that he is looking for a sensory race that might spy on radar and sense other players, whose skills would rely mostly and stealth attacks and player skill, not a skill that can make the player appear to be a gd player ( im hinting at your fucking human bash), and i told him that i will try to make a race description to help out, and i did.

So if you're saying that my sensor race is also dumb and stupid and not suitable for wcs, take it with the fucking OWNER and CREATOR and PROGRAMMER for the whole wcs server that you're trying to keep professional.

Everyone put hard work in making races, and trying to balance them, whether they get accepted or not , its up to clam and mostly zero.
You have no right whatsoever to come here and pretend that you know the shit better than anyone else and bash on people's creation when your's is nowhere better or worse.

this thread was made so any 1 who has a race idea can throw it down. the general publics view of these races are really irrelevant as there's a beyond small handful of people who truly understand how WCS works and is properly balanced via what races we have, and what good or bad could come from adding specific races from this section. as the le canadian race was funny, I don't think it would ever be added, but I did enjoy the sensor race and the idea of a race that targets the invis classes, or any class using any level or percentage of cloaking and is radar based.

once again... any 1 can post a race, if you don't like it, move on as insulting people over it is pointless as your opinion isn't really meaningful when it comes 2 actually deciding what we add and don't add... not 2 mention we wont even look at adding any races till we've re-added the old ones... which I believe zero is working on again now... and guess what lady's! I thought he was gonna stop redoing the races (the ones that he has yet to restore) because of the new coding that is supposed to be coming out in a few months :/. At least I remember him telling me about this when we played together. He said that he might as well stop coding now because he's going to have to do it all over again when that new coding language hits.

cheer up, have a poutine:P also, i understand that le canadian might not be added , altho fun, it doesnt matter the race name or effect names, its the tactics behind it, who knows we might take some skills here and there and abracadabra we have a new race (hmm..that abracadabra thing is stirring a race in my mind ;P)
now just to piss mikey off, i made another race suggestion.

Phantom (He Grenade And Knife ONLY)
Race conditions: -50% slower speed. 80?% cloak (just 10% more than a flame pred to balance slowness -> i know it seems a lot of cloaking but it's the race's only upside), and ^ obviously a grenade that generates every 10-15 seconds as back up weap?)
Restrictions: boots, cloak, gloves.


Levitation: Reduce your gravity by 30-60%


Dematerialise: 10-35?% chance of evading gun shots.


Death Scythe: Knifing can do critical damage (same as rapscallion's)


Reincarnate: Spawn ability, 10-50% chance to respawn a fallen ally with 25-75% max hp when YOU die.



Ultimate: Possess
Activate +ultimate to summon YOURSELF at an enemy location (same effect and cooldown as eye rae, only vice versa. obviously it will summon you to any player where u wouldnt be stuck)


MIKEY, i hope this race can be helpful in a team AND on its own. its basically the love child of a VERY slow flame pred and a nebula with protostar that summons itself every now and then...)

The big deal with sensor is I personally think vagabond isn't as strong as everyone on wcs thinks it is. It is strong with a few of us...yes. With most it sucks and they hover around the 1.1 kdr. It can be annoying though but that doesnt make it powerful. I can say the same thing about other races as well and some that are way better then vaga and easier to play. Sensor would destroy vagabond and make it utterly uselsss. Did I mention raps??? lol yea raped.

I however do like that phantom idea.

what i like about sensor: it's a vaga/rap hunter. that is what it does, and isn't good for too much else. if the vaga isn't too good, as mentioned by spasm, then there probably wouldn't be any need for it. if the vaga is raping an entire team, it could be a good counter to that, though i feel the sensor would also have to be played well.

what i don't like about sensor: it punishes skilled users of vaga/rap. most importantly of those is rap i think, as it has the lowest kdr of the races and is the most difficult to play properly. having a perfect counter-race to that seems like overkill.

with phantom, i think it'd need a bash-type ability and silent footsteps, or just one or the other. otherwise pretty much the only way for it to get a kill would be to use its ulti and go for a backstab or lucky crit. i do like the idea of a slow, more invis knife race and it would be interesting to at least see it in testing.

I like the concept, but I think 3 charges would make more sense, and the other ability that can also give away cloaked people is a bit much.

race would have 2 be like one per team... and less charges, and less chance on the other ability for finding cloaked.

I like the direction and idea of the race as it's diff than the majority of races that are suggested. something that's based on using radar is a neat idea... I just think it needs 2 be tweaked, and be reduced a bit more in a few areas.

I'm also not arguing/pushing that this should be made, just saying I enjoy it as an idea and the concept.

also not sure why you keep bringing up vegabond... it's 1 of like 3 classes that go full invis... and there's others that almost go full invis which would make you want 2 use the charges often... not just for 1 specific race.

that's true and 3 charges would add some strategy to it. and i'm bringing up vaga in particular just because it's the most deadly in the right hands in my opinion. of course nebula can be insane but it's a bit more luck-based with maser and can also be countered by smart radar usage, good eyes looking for a holstered pistol/grenades which still show up, and anticipation. rap, as i stated previously, is probably the easiest to counter in most cases. vaga's only weaknesses are the skill of the user, very tight maps, and laces which in a way require the vaga to mess up by going too close to enemies. of course there are other examples where sensor would be useful, but vaga is the most obvious.

I think this race if nerfed down a bit could make for a good race for each team 2 want 2 have one of... and would offer some interesting strategy behind it for their team.

Elemental races: varying raised and lower stats, I believe wind was low grav, invis (a lil more than flame pred) and speed ( same as invis) and low health.

If the sensor made them show up just on a radar for short period or something close to that it wouldn't be so bad. Feels to me like it is a direct nerf to vagabond and vagalion though. I understand we got a few other invis races, but honestly nebula will not be affected hardly at all by sensor. Raps would be hurt the most because when they r detected they r dead. What I am trying to say is it is going to turn a race that I feel like is pretty damn balanced into a nerfed race. I love vagabond and I would say I am the best player with it on our wcs servers. If this race is implemented just as cyber says I would quit playing it. It's easily countered now by anyone who has any idea of what they are doing and this would make another strong counter for the race.

Yes maynard people are on vaga's a lot because they are a unique and fun experience. Thats why I play it, because it is fun and hard to master. I think the general community is pretty bad with vagabond and only a select few are really good with it. Sensor would destroy that balance.

Oh well lol, back to human woot woot.

Hiyo got back into css and seeing all this scrim stuff made me remember that I really wanted a dedicated medic/support type class to add some more team tactics into the mix before I stopped

Something like:

Healing aura - A ward (like for shadow hunter/strider) that is placed which heals teammates. 10 hp/sec, 15 second length perhaps?
Defibs - Chance of respawning a dead teammate at your location (assuming will not block) [edit: so say I'm sitting at B on dust2, and a teammate dies at A, and this ability activates, the teammate respawns at B alongside me and with his kit]
Retreat - Upon taking damage, chance to gain increased speed for a short time (like, +0.5 speed for 2 seconds at max level for example)
Evade - .......evade.....

Life giver(ultimate) - All teammates (including self) within (insert size of say, B bombsite for dust2) gain 50HP.

Evade is optional, since I actually hate the evade skill in general, especially on molecule, but it just fits for this class. And as for the sensor thing, I don't really think it's too necessary, I don't know if zero would have the capability to code it, but making the flashlight trick more reliable would be a maximum step to take IMO.

This reminds me of MONK in dungeons defenders. Maynard , Joker, Blade and James should know what im referring to. (may, it was ur fav race lol)
It would be VERY nice to have a monk class in the server, with the same 4 skills (spread shooting, +ability for "electric with slowing aura" like wards, +ability1 for healing aura like a pink ward), and the Hero Boost ability that basically gives the player and teammates in a 100 ft radius extremely fast health regeneration speed + tripled damage output? Monk is a good support race for teammates in dungeons def, would be amazing here:

Im also thinking about making a "trapper class", aka Engineer, as well that basically has zero actual shooting damage, and is cloaked and with a fuck-ton of health/hard to kill. The idea came to me from the Team Fortress Engineer Class And basically all this race does is plant land mines and trap and decoys to protect teammates.

as far as the pure support class goes...the problem is that it would be a bitch to level. also, healing classes are fun in mmorpg's, but it's difficult to translate into cs since most of the healing abilities will be passive. that's no fun, just being near teammates and not actually doing anything. the best way to do a support class in my opinion, where it'd be fun and decent to level, would be something similar to a medic in tf2. instead of passive healing (and i realize this would most likely be VERY FUCKING DIFFICULT to code), do something like give them a deagle and mp5 for each round, the deagle acts as a normal weapon, and the mp5 does no damage to enemies, but heals teammates for (depending on skills) like 20%-50% of damage that would be done to them. so you shoot your teammates to heal them. and maybe something like grenade damage done to enemies heals your whole team for 50% of damage done (to a certain max), and smoke grenades do a sort of aoe heal, similar but opposite to hell hunter's smokes. that would be active healing and would incorporate more strategy and more fun for the class, and i could do a full skill writeup and stuff later today if it would even be possible to code.

the engineer could be pretty fun, but it would be another thing to enforce. i imagine you'd have to consider traps as similar to wards and you'd have to keep an eye on placing them too close to objectives or totally blocking objectives. not knocking either of these ideas, i really like both and would love to see them. just trying to propose tweaks and bring up issues that i see

well for the heal thing , i was thinking of healing wards, where people get healed only when standing on a relatively smaller ward. they would have to sacrifice mobility for healing , which could be a crucial decision when low on hp but in dire need to kill someone or do an objective asap. (this brings me back to my Terminator class that i wrote a year ago... im personally thinking that the Terminator race has a better overrall healing mode ...but still).
i like the "shooting teammates to heal them" idea. im sure there's smthn in the mod that can read "teammate shooting" event and allow healing effect instead of damage. This would actually suggest good team work, imagine that you have a tank player rushing and a support healing him with only a deagle to protect himself. And you get exp for every 100 hp you heal (equivalent to an average 100 dmg you might need to kill someone) ..This also might push players to not rely on speed races like spiderman, vagabond etc, since teammates wont be able to target them constantly. i like it.
another healing effect would be smthn like the molecule shield: but instead of invincibility, it creates a bubble that heals you and teamates near you but you cannot move until its over.

as for the engineer, i was thinking of shit like the half life laser trip mine that can be planted around corners to surprise players walking by, or like trigger grenades. : you get an HE grenade every 10 seconds that sticks to where you throw it but doesnt explode (max 5 at one time), and when you activate +ability it detonates them? making this race more of a tactical race that relies on knowing the best spots in the map to plant some pre-emptive traps and waits for its target to pass by. its strength would be in its SHITLOAD of hp (more than 1 nebula can proc) but with HUGE knockback if it gets hit to avoid using the race to plant and defuse bombs at ease

This race has been one of the originals back with the 4 main races undead,human,orc,night elf, and used to have blood elf aswell. Was a pretty fun race to play.

[maneuver] - Gives your Goblin a 2%,5%,10%,15%,20%,25% percent chance to evade incoming damage, aswell as boost's your speed by 2%,5%,10%,15%,20% percent

[Cheater] - By not playing fair, Goblin's knife has a 5%,10%,15%,20%,25%, chance to apply poisened mode, which is like being drugged for 1,1.5,2,3 seconds. This causes 1,2,3,4 dmg per second while slowing down his enamy slightly(like warden's poisen)

[[ULTIMATE-Shadow Walk]] - Makes you invisible for 1,2,3,4,5 seconds,has 45,35,30,20,15 second cooldown, at this stage you can only use your knife, you cant defuse/plant the bomb and you dont get any XP from

kill's, and you are revealed on the radar while invisible.

[Passive ability] - Because the Goblin Thief has to steal to get an advantage, he may only get 1000$ per round at the most, making it primarly a knife race, and earning his money slowly so that when he does get weapons, they dont come easy.


Im not sure how much zero can do out of these skills in terms of limiting some of the skills, but it sounds pretty fun to me personally, maybe could be a nice IBIS original race after the older ones get finished. All i know is that reload skill and ammo skill would make me rage lol, but it would be fun.

i decided to go ahead and outline my idea for a medic support class.

Buddhist
Req. level: 200
Spawns with mp5, deagle. Is limited to those weapons, knife, and grenades.
mp5 deals no damage to enemies.

Skill names derived from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism

Samsara - Bullets from your mp5 heal teammates that you shoot for (10, 20, 30, 40, 50%) of damage it would otherwise deal to enemies.

Samadhi - 2 ideas for this one. Either
a. You start with (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) extra health and full armor
or
b. (20, 40, 60, 80, 100%) chance to cause a headshot to deal normal damage

Asura's Blessing - Your smoke grenades heal your teammates within its area for (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) health per second. the health given can exceed a player's maximum health, but is limited to 50 health given per life. (similar but opposite to hell hunter's poison smoke)

Dukkha - (5, 10, 15, 20, 25%)Chance with deagle shots to deal 200% damage (not 200% additional damage, 200% total damage. i.e. on a 35 damage shot, you would instead deal 70 damage total).

Nirvana - Chance to resurrect a dead teammate with 50% max health and summon them to your location. (% chance to resurrect being the same as other resurrection skills). Max 2 times per round(?)

But i personally would add a twist to that, and have that summoned teammate start loosing 2 dmg/s after a minute? this gives enough time (2 minutes almost, the optimate time for a round) to complete objectives and kill ppl, but not enough to have someone just camping and summoning people... Not sure about what ppl think about kdr, but skilled players should find a way to finish the round before the whole countdown ends and their health depleated...adds more suspense to this game

interesting, but yeah i was trying to avoid say, 3 teammates being wiped out in one spot and all being summoned by the buddhist, who is already healing allies near him. though that would be an interesting addition to the game. and if it wasn't clear, the ultimate would be a passive thing, not active, just like other resurrection skills. the only reason why it'd be an ultimate is because it's freakin enlightenment lol, that's the ultimate goal of buddhists so it just fit. but having it be an activated ultimate with health draining or something is certainly interesting, though maybe it should start draining immediately, just making the guy almost like a temporary guardian. if you've ever played wow, something like how non-unholy death knights can raise an ally as a ghoul for a certain amount of time.

Thank you for commenting on it, I thought Goblin would be lil OP, but then i thought, its wcs, some races are just OP, thats y it has a 600-750 req to use it. It also has a 1k per round cash limit meaning it takes 4 ever to save up for an actual gun, aswell as you dont get XP for getting kills in your ult, meaning its a hard race to lvl which takes skill, but also has higher reward.(also would be lots of fun lol, making ppl reload for no reason lol, RAGE)

Blood Elf is my all-time favorite race, just because its a race that was used and played, i hope that it does get added at some point. It is one of the originals that gets over looked alot

the fix i worked in to my plan is about as good as it gets for any support class. being supplied and restricted to mp5 and deagle means if you're being an effective healer and getting kills every now and then, your team will be winning and you won't have anything to spend your money on weapon-wise, so tomes will be the primary means of leveling up. that's also why i worked in the chance for double deagle damage, to make them capable of defending themselves to some degree.

The race could try to knife its way towards someone who is blasting it with shots and damaging themselves cos they freaked out about the knifer lol.. It would make sense that whoeer plays this race has to be smart enough to know when to activate each ability based on the opponent in front of them..

To answer your question I had in my mind that they still receive the other 50% of the damage when using those abilities. For the ultimate no it would not heal just return more damage then it would have received. But yeah that stands for debate.

You could also do a molecule shield type ultimate with the fear overlord. Would balance out quite a bit. Could be used as a shield for other team members in a hall way or tight places.

Soul Trap (5 levels) : Each Kill grants you a soul (like the succubus skulls). Each Soul increases your total damage ouput by 5-10% for the rest of the round.

Pickpocket (5 levels): When you KILL an enemy with a KNIFE, 10-20?% chance of stealing one of their HELD shopitems, that you don't own yet. (i.e can steal a Periapt of Health for example, only if you dont already have one, to avoid stack).

Fire Breath(5 levels): Same chance percentage that Beast has to setting enemies on fire.

Storm Call(5 levels): 5-15?% chance for a lightning strike to blind the targeted enemy for 1-2(at maxxed) second, like the flashbang effect. but with a lightning zigzag on screen if such effect was ever made (*goes to warcraft source*).

Ultimate (5 levels): FUS RO DAH!!! : Activate +ultimate. Effect is completely opposite to Shadow of Void:
Enemies in a 30-50 feet radius are propelled/thrown AWAY about 45 degrees in the air, at increasing speed for 2-5 seconds.
The ultimate doesn't do damage per say, it's the "fall/slamming damage" received from enemies slamming into floors/walls that matters , like zipping uber fast with a vagabond or spidey and getting speed damage when hitting the ground. Ultimate can be used as both offensive and defensive mechanism
Cooldown same as human.

Abilities

Fanaticism (5 levels) - on the 1st level, gives 20 health and 120 armor. Each subsequent level gives additional 20 health/armor to 200 hp/armor max.

Pity for the Insane (5 levels) - final effect same as NE's thorns aura.

Disregard for Safety (5 levels) - final effect same as undead's unholy aura.

Lucky Shot (5 levels) - 1.1/2.2/3.3/4.4/5.5% chance to 1-hit an enemy with an usp.

Major Annoyance (5 levels) - 3/6/9/12/15% chance to turn the enemy to the opposite direction from the V.I.P.


Other notes: this race is meant to be fairly fun to the player himself as he should be able to survive quite a bit and has a good set of abilities to annoy and counter strong races if the percentage works out.

This could be a change to the medic/support class I mentioned earlier, but I think this skill would generally be good in any case.

For phoenix-type skills, You set up a 'portal' type thing just like the strider ultimate (using +ability I guess), and when the respawn activates you/your teammates respawn at the portal location, instead of in the same location/back at spawn/on you (as I suggested with the medic class). If no portal is set you respawn at your starting location by default. This can be used to set up 'reinforcement' points behind the front line in your team, be placed at a bombsite or whatever.

As a separate class:

Alchemist:

Alchemist restricted to knife/grenades only. 6 skills/5 levels

Potion Set: As levels increase, you get more grenades at spawn (like hell hunter, but flash/smoke/nades all at once instead of on separate skills).
Potion of Health: Smoke grenades heal teammates/self (5hp/second at max for however long smoke nades last)
Deadly poison: Upon dealing damage with a knife, enemies are drastically slowed (-80% movement speed at max) and take damage over time (5 hp/sec for 5 seconds at max)
Potion of Clarity: Upon dealing damage with grenades, cloak effects are removed, and enemies glow for longer periods of time (10 seconds at max)
Debilitating poison: Flashbangs, as well as blinding, inflict banish/drug for longer periods of time. (No idea how this could be coded, since teammates are also affected by your flashbangs)

ULTIMATE: Potion of invigoration: Sacrifice half your current health for greatly increased speed, knife damage, and lower gravity for a short time. (+100% speed/knife dmg, -50% grav for 8 seconds at max) Has a fairly long cooldown.

I feel like that could be really cool, although I'm not sure on the potion of health, it could either be OP, or in any case doesn't really fit with the rest of the skills aside from the ultimate (blinding opponents, hitting ulti, running in and killing people in the room before retreating to heal with the smoke nades sounds cool in my head). Perhaps instead smoke appears for your enemies but there is not smoke for yourself, as if you had no smoke hacks? Would make for some nice strategic moments as you plan your assault down the hallway with the ultimate. If this were to happen though, then the sacrificing of health for the ultimate would be removed. Also the potion of clarity, it just feels like the skill to go with nades should be damage based, but I like the idea of removing cloak and glowing opponents. It hopefully wouldn't be TOO hard on vagas since hell, it's a grenade and we have limited amounts of them, and the followup damage can only come from a knife (or teammates). I have no idea how this stuff could be coded, especially the flashbangs, but if hell hunter could be coded perhaps this could.

All-seeing Eye:
5 skills/5 levels, no weapon restriction

Unshakable Sight: Nothing can stop you from finding and destroying your target; Flash bangs and smoke grenades effect you 20-100% less than normal
True Vision: While some may try to hide, they cannot do so for long; 20-100% chance on hit to remove any cloaking effects
Soul Stare: Horrifying visions torment the enemy, and he finds it hard to focus on the job at hand; 8-40% chance for particle effects to appear around the enemy on hit, potentially blocking his vision (think dragonfly effects, the effects shouldn't actually conceal the enemy from you, like the athena ones sometimes do, they should just disrupt the opponent's screen). [Banish might just be an easier option]
Foresight: Foresee the future, and one can change it; 8-40% chance to evade damage.

[ULTIMATE]: All-seeing eye: Become unable to move or attack (at all), but see players (friend and foe) through walls (though cloaking effects still apply if they haven't been dispelled yet). 8-0 second cooldown (cooldown required to activate and to deactivate).

A couple of the skills, like the noflash/smoke and the ultimate sound cool but I'm not really sure if the skills work with one another, they're a bit random.

-- Curse of Lethargy: Curse enemies and drain them of their energy. 10-30% chance on hit to cause speed to be reduced and gravity to be increased by 30-50% for 3 seconds
-- Curse of Mortality: Curse enemies to draw them closer to their inevitable deaths. 10-30% chance on hit to cause periodic damage over time, 4 dmg per second, for 1-5 seconds.
-- Curse of Silence: Curse your opponent and silence their abilities. 10-30% chance on hit to prolong opponent's ultimate cooldown by 3-5 seconds.
-- Death Magic: When any player in the game dies, draw upon the rest of their life energy to boost your own. When any player dies, friend or foe, player gains 2-10 hp. Maximum 200 hp

-- ULTIMATE: Blood Magic: 5-25 health is stolen from all enemies in the area. Maximum 200 hp. [30 second cooldown] [Size of area similar to the size of orc/raiden ultimate, in a sphere] [If enemies already have less than 5-25 health, they are leeched down to 1 hp (no-one can outright die from this ultimate (to be honest, I think this feature should be on crypt lord too)). Health gained by the witch is equal to the health lost by opponents.]

The effects of curses cannot stack upon themselves, for example, someone cannot have two curses of weakness on him at the same time, reducing his damage to 25% at max. If someone is hit with the same curse again, the timer is just renewed. Someone can be affected with two different curses at the same time, however.

I REALLY like the idea of the silence ability. Instead of blocking ultimates outright, you have a chance to just delay it a few seconds, if the opponent hasn't already used it before the curse is applied. The death magic skill I'm not so sure about, it sounds cool, but it's strength depends entirely on the number of people on the server. Perhaps health gained per death could be calculated by, say, [25-(#ofplayersonserver)]. That way if the server is full, you get 5 hp per player death. If there are 10 people on the server, you get 15 per death. I don't know how you'd scale the skill up as you level it in this case though. Perhaps another alternative is just to have it as a regular leech life skill, like vampiric aura, but I wanted it to be a bit more different from the ultimate. Then again, if it were vampiric aura, every skill would require you to hit an opponent before anything happens, which is neat.

The race overall sounds like it would be weak at low levels, because the chance to do anything is low, but at maxed it would be incredibly powerful in the hands of someone who can aim well. Because most of the skills require you to hit someone, perhaps weapon restrictions would be good. Spamming around with a p90 could be incredibly OP, as it is with some other races, as you'd be constantly cursing people over and over. Also for item restrictions, it's debatable whether health/ring/mask should be restricted. Sock and boots definitely should though, this is not designed to be a mobility class at all. Perhaps cloak also. In fact, perhaps the witch has a 20% speed reduction as default.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Perhaps death magic could be replaced by a skill whereby it's another curse placed on them, but once the curse is applied, any further damage you do to the player is added to your health. So it's kinda like vampiric, but not really. For vampiric each shot has a chance to leech health for you. For this skill, there's a chance you apply another curse on the opponent, for 3 seconds again, and once the curse is applied, any extra damage you do to them is guaranteed to be leeched.

[Robbed] - Gives 10%,15%,20%,25%,35% chance to rob your enamies ammo by 15%,20%,30%,40% percent(Meaning instead of having 30 bullets in 1 clip, they will have 20 on hit, if hit again will have 12 and on and on)

[maneuver] - Gives your Goblin a 5%,10%,15%,20%,25% percent chance to evade incoming damage, aswell as boost's your speed by 2%,5%,10%,15%,20% percent

[Cheater] - By not playing fair, Goblin's knife has a 2%,5%,10%,15%,20%,25%, chance to apply poisened mode, which is like being drugged for 1,1.5,2,3 seconds. This causes 1,2,3,4 dmg per second while slowing down his enamy slightly(like warden's poisen)

[[ULTIMATE-Shadow Walk]] - Makes you invisible for 1,2,3,4,5 seconds,has 45,35,30,20,15 second cooldown, at this stage you can only use your knife, you cant defuse/plant the bomb and you dont get any XP from kill's, and you are revealed on the radar while invisible.


I lowered the total lvl required and nerfd some of the skills and abilities to make it more appropriate to compare with other races. I just think this race would be more fun then OP as it doesnt do extra dmg, it just has effects that are annoying yet fun.
In my mind, a goblin is meant to be quick,agile,sneaky, and annoying and that's what i was going for with this race.:smirk:

Few general ideas, some individual skills which sound cool, some ideas for general races:

[RACE]: Conjurer: Ultimate is that you spawn a bot (ingame AI). All non-ultimate skills benefit you AND the bot. For example:

Conjure weapon for you and your pawn (once he has been spawned)
Conjure armour for you and your pawn
Extra damage for you and your pawn
Spawn bot....
etc

[SKILL]: Soul bind. When you hit an enemy, nearby allies of the target also take a percentage of the damage, damage is spread.

[SKILL]: In general, more abilities/ultis that don't necessarily benefit you directly in fights, but cant benefit you *AND THE TEAM* hugely, making for more tactical use, e.g:

-Recover; unable to move or attack for a few seconds, but you and nearby teammates recover a large amount of health.
-Shield; your hitbox doubles in size and you become invulnerable to all damage, unable to move or attack. could make for nice tactical play along with teammates down corridors or used to defend teammates who are defusing/planting

[SKILL]: I never really liked evade skills, although can obviously see the tendency for them in RPG style gameplay and typical game-lore. Instead, hows about skills where there is a chance for all damage to be deducted from your armour instead of health.

[SKILL]: A nice idea for an ultimate for an aggressive style race could be something like this:

Charge; Gain 300% speed for 1-3 seconds, once the speed buff finishes, enemies within a small area (something between knife range and the radius of wards) take 10-20 damage, are knocked back and have their screen shaken.

[RACE]: I already suggested previously a support-centric (medic style) race. While I'd still like this, the good point was raised that it take a long time/be tedious to level without much aggressive capability (aside from simple player skill, of course). Instead hows about a race centred around weakening the enemy team. You still sort of are a support race, but you can also fight on your own. e.g

-Tripwire(ability): Places what is essentially a ward, but instead of doing damage, all who enter the area of effect are slowed dramatically and are unable to use ultimates. Used to control chokes.
-Plague: Upon hitting enemy, chance they are infected with plague, damage reduced, small, continual damage, can spread (on its own) to nearby allies of the target.
-Ultimate: Forces nearby enemies to drop their current weapons

[RACE]: I also would like the idea of another race with the 'skulls' system like with succubus hunter. Although on a round by round basis, not cumulative. e.g Berserker, his 'rage' increases as he takes damage. His 'rage' makes various other skills more powerful, and can be expended on a powerful ultimate. This would make for an interesting dynamic, if implemented properly, of the player trying to be as low health as possible without actually dying, and could reward skill greatly.

Templar:

Holy smite: Strike against those who would use dark magic.
-Chance on hit to destroy an opponent's shop-bought item and inflict extra damage.

Ongoing Duty: Nothing will stop the Templar from completing his Holy mission.

Holy Armour: A Templar can only wear a Templar's armour.
-Spawn with extra health and kevlar/helmet at round start.

[ABILITY]Purge Magic: Cleanse the area of harmful magic.
-Places a ward. Effects apply to all allies standing within the ward.
-Become immune to ultimates.
-Ignore skill based damage and direct debuffs. (e.g orc crits, human's bash etc)
-Incoming damage is reduced.

[ULTIMATE]Divine intervention: Call upon the almighty himself to deal with the most troublesome of apostates.
-Become invulnerable to all damage for a short time.
-The effects of Ongoing Duty and Holy Smite are increased within this time.

I made a team race that is PURE strategy and give-and-take relationship.

Synergy: (team based race)


Devotion: start with 15-50 more hp.


All for One: For each ally within 50 ft, increase damage output of each hit by 10dmg per teammate.


One for All: If an ally within 50 ft were to be targetted with a FATAL hit, you take half the damage instead of your teammate and the attacking enemy receives the other half (teammate saved). If you were to be killed by that redirected damage, the effect does not activate.


Healing Hands: Use +ability to create a ward (up to 3) that regerates your and your ally's healths by the same amount/rate/duration that serpent wards use.


Convoke: Activate using +ultimate when needed, respawn the last teammate that died on your team at the time of activation with 50% health.
Cooldown : 60-30 seconds.

The idea behind this race is to encourage teammates to work together, this race protects allies from fatal kills by taking damage intead of them, but can regenerate some of it with wards if they hold ground. In return, for each ally nearby, this race gets an increased damage output, so it's all about the survival and teamwork to ensure both ends are saved.

Water: 5-20% chance of evading bullets while hiding in water
Heart: Recover 2->5hp every 10->5 seconds


Powers Combined! : Invulnerability for 2-7 seconds, but when activated, all the player's skills are disabled.

A more crowd-control based race this time, with some neat potential tactics. The most obvious being that you place a 'tripwire', and then grapple an opponent to pull them into it. This is not meant to be a heavy damage dealing race, the reason for negating damage for the first two skills, and in the same vain weapon restrictions would be in order. TMP or MP5 sound right for the race, but the fast rate of fire could make the first two skills overpowered, unless the chances of activation are suitably low of course.

Engineer, 5skills:

Magnetise: The Engineer can effortlessly steal the opponent's metal weapons.
-Chance on hit to inflict no damage, but force the opponent to drop their weapon.
-[Perhaps just force a weapon switch? It's an annoying and unwanted by-product of this skill to sometimes have the weapon fall behind a box or through terrain and then to be impossible to pick up again]

Concussive shot: Fires a shot specifically designed to incapacitate the enemy.
-Chance on hit to inflict no damage, however slow and drug the target for a short time.

Titanium Plating: Much care goes into the Engineer's chosen armour.

still though, very nice race, im assuming that with the +100 kevlar for 1000$ u can have a total of "200 hp" to work with right off the bat, and buy more if needed.
i guess it's the race's survival strength considering it's not meant to be a damage giver.

im loving support races wayyyyy more than damage races in this thread, they seem more balanced and thoughtout than people just mashing strong skills like me -.- , back in the day


edit: 1 thing i dont like is the invisible ward. it seems too op and rendering other ward from other races relatively weak. What i would suggest is that the wards dont do damage or set you on fire.
all they would do is Just slow the people in it by 40-60% without any damage. This way people can get out of it if they need or push through it, giving them a chance to survive the invisbility of it, but also giving u a chance to crowd control a choke point and kill people slowed down.
Heck, these wards might be allowed to be near bombsites and shit , with different color, since they dnt block objective.

That sounds better on reflection actually, since it's invisible it doing damage would be pretty OP. At the time I was justifying it by making the ward very small, like smaller than width of a regular doorway on cs_office. But that doesn't really mean much since the entire point is for the ward to be placed at choke points, so it's going to be tripped anyway regardless of it's size.

Another race for ya, the skills are kinda complicated but I really like the concepts behind them. It's a long read too. The '=' points give general details, '----' specifics.

----2-4 second duration, timer begins at release.
----Only one set of insects may affect a target at any one time, even if the skill activates more than once within the 2-4 seconds.
----The insects act like a projectile, the farther away the target, the longer it takes insects to reach them, wasting time (they travel quickly though).
----Imagine dust2. Someone standing in the side pit, someone standing against the far wall of A bombsite. That distance would take maybe 2 seconds to travel.
=The insects swarm around the target, partially covering their vision.

[ULTIMATE] Blood Shield: Shield yourself using your own life force.
=Creates a shield for yourself for a short time.

----Always 50/50 distribution between absorption and reflection.

----The shield's power is determined when it is activated, it does not become weaker as you take damage during the effect.
----For each HP under 100, the damage that is taken normally increases by 0.5% (and so the damage reflected and absorbed decreases by 0.25% each)
----Minimum damage taken is 20% (when you're 100HP or above).

The ultimate needs some more explanation. Say I'm at 100HP or greater, and I activate blood shield. I now take only 20% of any incoming damage, while 40% is reflected back to the enemy, and 40% is ignored completely.
Lets say I'm now at 50HP when I activate blood shield again. This time I take 45% of incoming damage normally (the 20% minimum + 50*0.5%), and 27.5% is each reflected and ignored completely (maximum 40% - 50*0.25%)
At 10HP, I take 65% of damage normally, while 17.5% is reflected/ignored.

It seems like it could be needlessly complicated, but I wanted some way of reflecting some damage and reducing damage for yourself, and this seemed like the best/most balanced. An alternative, like having the shield simply reflecting a varying percentage of damage and letting the rest through, would either be incredibly under or overpowered. Simply having it as a shield, reducing damage, makes it weak compared to, for example, shadow hunters ulti. Having the shield absorb or reflect ALL damage would again be pretty OP

The race as written could easily be overpowered, and so the numbers would need a lot of testing/tweaking, but I like the concepts of the skills and their relevence to each other. The dynamics of the HP-based ultimate compared to the neccessity to be as close as possible to the enemy would make for a really cool test of skill for the user. Insects and corpse detonation become stronger the closer you are to the enemy, due to reduced travel time and activation chance(from ward)/healing potential respectively, and yet you want as much HP as possible for your ultimate.

It allows the user to employ two potential strategies, play more defensively in the expectation of coming out of a fight with higher HP for later, or go charging in with increased power, expecting to leech the HP back.

Should also be a good challenge for ZERO to code if the race is implemented ^_^


EDIT: Didn't think of this at the time, but if insects activated they would follow and continue to swarm enemies for the duration. This could mean, for example, they follow a Vagabond as he teleports away. This wasn't really the intention, so I don't know if it working this way would be good.

Insects is a very complicated skill. Sorry about that, although in one sense this is a good thing because any number of it's characteristics could be tweaked if needed. Their speed, their leech strength, their graphics, their duration, or their activation chance etc.

Sol (5skills,8levels):


Solar Flare: Release a burst of energy at attackers.
=Upon taking damage, chance for attackers to be blinded.

15-35% chance
='Strength' of blind increases the more damage you take, and can stack.

Essentially acts the same as a flashbang in this sense, the more damage you take on the shot that activates it,

the stronger the blinding effect (as if the flashbang landed closer), and activating the effect multiple times

stacks the blinding effect.

So say I'm hit with two shots from a TMP, each dealing 15 damage, and the effect activates twice. The attacker

would be just as blind as if he shot me once with an M4, dealing 30 damage. The blinds from the TMP would be slightly

staggered because of the delay between shots but whatever.


Eclipse: Deny opponents the vital energy of the sun.
=Chance on hit to weaken target, reducing his damage output.

10-25% chance.

Lasts 2 seconds.

Reduces opponent's physical damage output by 20-40%.

Successive activations only renew the two second timer.

Some method of warning the recipient of the effect would be good, a sound effect I suppose.


Spectral Strike: Focus your energy onto a single point.
=Chance on hit to burn enemy for a short time.

10-25% chance.

Target takes 3-10 damage at activation, and an extra 5 damage over time during flames effect.

Flames last 1 second, visuals are same as flames from other races (from target's POV in particular I mean).


Radiance: The energy of stars can fuel even the most insatiable of combatants.
=Healing wave for you and nearby allies.

Range of a ward.

5-12HP every 10 seconds.
=Healing effect also grants increased movement speed for a short time.

Upon receiving healing, gain 10-20% speed for 10 seconds (so speed gain is effectively constant for as long as you are healing).

Speed gain can apply to both you and allies.

Only applies when healing occurs, if at max health, no extra speed.

Only applies to the person healed, if you heal only an ally, you gain no speed yourself.


[ULTIMATE]Supernova: The death of a star results in the expulsion of untold amounts of energy.
=Explode on death.

100% chance, ignores any ultimate immunities nearby, though enemies with immunity are unaffected.

So say two enemies are nearby, one has lace one doesn't. Explosion occurs despite the nearby immunity, though the one

with immunity takes no damage and is not blinded.
=Damages nearby enemies.

Damages only enemies with line of sight (not through walls).

80-150 damage.

20-30 ft radius. (undead's is 12-18ft for reference)
=Explosion also blinds enemies.

Acts as though flashbang goes off immediately at location of death. Though twice as strong.

Enemies out of range of damage may still be in range of blinding effect.

Line of sight required as usual.

Allies unaffected.

I was debating which skill should be the ultimate and which should be the ability for a while, but I think this way round is best. The debate is mostly about which should be blockable by ultimate immunities

Stalker (4skills/8levels):


Fleetfoot
=Gain increased movement speed.

10-30%
=Reduce your gravity.

Hidden Treachery:
=Attacking enemies from behind deals extra damage.

Using same mechanic as backstabs for knifing.

8-15 extra damage per hit.
=Also, chance to stun enemy when attacking from behind.

10-20% chance to stun(bash) enemies for 1 second.


[ABILITY] Shadows:
=Activate to become cloaked.

Completely Invisible.

Footsteps make no sound.

All weapons removed(like strider while flying, but your knife goes too).

Weapons returned upon the effect ending.
=Lasts for a short time.

Max 4-7.5 seconds.

Can be deactivated before max time by pressing ability again.

10 second cooldown, cooldown timer begins once previous cloaking ends.
=When the effect ends, you are weakened for a short time.

When cloaking is finished, your physical damage is reduced by 40-20% for 2 seconds

Note only physical damage reduced, damage dealt by Hidden Treachery is unaffected.


[ULTIMATE] Stalk:
=Short range teleport, in style of human.

25-50ft (human's range is 60-108ft for reference)

10 second cooldown.
=If used while cloaked, cooldown is reduced.

To 0.5 seconds.

Posting a thought to maybe help expand the forum community a bit more. Is there a way that we can create a race that's restricted to people who are registered on the forums with matching steam IDs? If not disregard this thought as the ramblings of a madman but I thought it would be a good way to give new players an incentive to being a part of the community. What the race and its' abilities should be I don't know as so far this is just the musings of a madman.

At least think about it before dismissing it as a stupid idea intended for the sole purpose of giving newbies handouts. This is not intended.

what i THINK he meant was that, there's a PUBLIC race, not restricted to 1 individual, but the ONLY way you can "unlock it", other than collecting the level requirements, it's by signin in on our forums with you steam id , and achieve for example a specific title in the forums post count bar...

i think that this idea might make regular players on our server WANT to register for the forums, in order to unlock races that they collected levels for, as opposed to just play, and not help the community in forums.
this might make people more active on the forums, with good posts and questions(not spammed). and heck, it might even make them actually READ THE FUCKING RULES accidentally, or read more info about the races they play, instead of constantly asking stupid questions in game...
They get rewarded for their activeness with the "permission" to play a gd race.

im not against the LADDER idea, but im not supporting it either. I think that the server is balanced as is, with no subplots, and i tihnk that , if someone were to be active on the forums, it would be because they WANT TO be active on the forums and helpful for the community, not because they are shallow, useless and just want to gain the race.

Dirty Fighting (5 Levels): 5% chance per level to blind enemy on hit (25% chance max, similar to beast or shadow of the void)
Resistance (5 Levels): 20% chance per level to spawn with ultimate immunity (100% chance at max level)
ULTIMATE:
Flim Flam (5 Levels): After 5 seconds you switch places with the closest enemey (Maxes at an instant switch, 30 second cooldown, would work similiar with Eye Ra)

figured I would start a new trend in a race, instead of a race with a set of skills, its a race with 2 sets of skills that get changed via the ultimate (just read the following). The 2 sets of skills don't intertwine, they just trigger different effects based on ur current ultimate state, read the ulti first.



Ying Yang (6 levels per race)

(restricted: health, ring, mask, claw, cloak, helm)
behaves like a rushing race and a useless rapscallion simultaneously.

Burning Soul:
When normal (ultimate not activated), has a chance of settings targets on fire like beast. If player is meditation mode, player recovers 1-3hp per second.
Death strike:
when normal, every time you kill an enemy, increase your max health by 5-10 until the end of round. When meditating, your enemies take 25% of the damage they inflict on you. (u still get full damage, but u return a small portion)
Floating spirit:
when normal, slightly increased levitation and airspeed (something like undead or smthn). If a teammate should die while you are meditating, there's a 10-20?% chance that they respawn and get summoned to your location.
Reflex Boost:
while normal, 10-25% chance of evading bullets. While meditating, for every 6-2hp you lose from damage, power up your output damage by extra stackable 0.5-1%. (similar to hells demon pride).. The power boost carries until you enter meditation again, then it's reset to default damage output.
Ultimate: Meditate (cooldown 20-5)Toggles skillset between Yin's and Yang's and enter Meditation State=> Go fully invisible stuck, just like rapscallion but NOT ABLE TO KNIFE OR MOVE OR PLANT OR DEFUSE. The 2 ability-sets never occur simultaneously.


watcha think? it's a draft , so mind the numbers or specific skills, but the general concept is that each set of skills alone is not "ideal" and needs you toggling on and off between skillset.

ok, zero is planning to change the current bloodmage to the old server one, where it looses its ultimate for something less "damaging".
Zero also asked to make a race that would replace the CURRENT bloodmage, so that people dont miss the ultimate and race-strategy too much after the change...

this is a quick draft of a replacement, first 2 skills can be changed, but last 3 are variations of the current BM


Elemental Hero:


Earth: Master of Endurance. Spawn with 15-50 more hp


Water: Master of tranquility. Become 60-85% invisible when standing still for more than 3 seconds (mouse looking allowed). Become fully visible if moves or shoots.


Wind: Master of disturbance. 10-25% Chance for whirlwind to shake enemy crosshair 45 degrees left-right-left for 1-2.5 seconds (pendulum effect crosshair, variation of banish)


Heart: The 5th missing element. Sacrifice it all. Chance 40-70% that When you die, a random fallen teammate respawns in your location, after 6 seconds or so . ( a variation of blood mage's respawning)


(ultimate)
Fire: Master of flames. Use fire ultimate by current bloodmage. Same cooldown, same effect. ( bloodmage's stored cooldown that people want around)

Ultimate [Flame Spread]-Catch a single enemy on fire when hes a certain distance away from you, however, if he moves and ends up being near his teammates, they catch his effects aswell spreading the fire onto them if they are witin the same distance doing 15(over 15 seconds) dmg and increase the distance every level. This would be same effect as a blood mage but tweaked a little and maybe more fun?

Nothing is wrong with it. Its an amazing race , just not the same as the old server, which is why it's being reverted. It will act like a beast burning + small pay for health regen .

Ownsie???? U're a genius!<3 (fuck!), ill start working on smthn as we speak. I was bashing m head forever tryin to think of a fire themed race, closest thing i got was charizard for fucks' sake...

i hope that my suggestion can be implemented into the new race as a way to encourage less camping by being able to have a chance to revive someone only if you have killed another player. also wondering if catching 1 person on fire and then letting him spread that fire to others he comes close to can be pretty cool? im not sure if that's possible to do tho, but it would be nice, i could already imagine some pretty LOL moments in the pub with this.

(5-20% chance of shaking enemy crosshair (the same effect as archmage)


Fireball:
Throws a ball of flame at the enemy

Blaze:

Devil's pact: Up to twice per round/death only, you can press +ability to pay 3000$ and instantly respawn the last teammate who died on your team to your location


Bribe: 10-30% chance to evade shots by automatically bribing the enemy with money ($) equal to the damage you would have taken when it procced. ( nebulas are gonna be so fucking happy:p)


Ultimate (cooldown 40-20)
Thieves' guild: activate +ultimate to instantly sell all weapons you're carrying ( u just keep ur knife) for full price, and divide the money earnings among all players alive on your team


( that applies to guns you picked up as well, hence the long cooldown. selling guns leaves the user with no protection for some time)

Swift: 10-30% levitation with slight speed increase.


Stealth: Footsteps noise is reduced by 30-100%


Ultimate: Wall Leap
ONLY when aimed at a wall, teleport with minimal noise and STICK to it.
If not aimed at a wall (as in aimed at ground or empty air, it releases you from the wall into mini free fall)

Melting Point-By using your ability1 key you will place down a fire ward that slows down and burns enemies inside it(like shadow hunters wards but burning effects)

Pyrotechnics-By understanding how fire works, your granades will have a chance to crit for 2x damage, those that take damage by these nades burn for 3 seconds taking 1 damage per second(you dont get any extra nades)

Mana Burn-Any players within 15-75 ft will be set on fire, those without any body armour will lose money aswell as hp for the duration.

the compact shots effect will be ninja stars or some random shit (i'll get you some sprites zero :P)

and as for invis... it could work, if only like 60%, but i dont think its a good idea, it would be borderline "imbalanced" for it to get the cloak inherit... if anything, the player should buy his own cloak...

Ultimate-Super Nova--By forming a red shield around you(like molecule) anyone that gets inside your range with that shield starts taking DOT(Damage over time) when killed all the damage done to you is released into a radius that is 2x of undeads suicide bomber.

It is something completely different and I'd say it's roughly as strong as die xonvert. I do agree a little about the the Troll, tho - I should have reread the abilities and nerfed them a bit as the last two are too strong.

I honestly doubt any race will ever be made that counters vaga like that. Vagalion is weak as it is and vagabond isn't in that much better of shape, lace is just too strong. Ice troll is a troll race lawl. Slow attacker and evade in same skill, then a root for 5 seconds on hit, add extremely fast hp regen and ur looking at the new human. Rangers ulti is exteme, its ne bula and die xon together without the cloud, lawl.

Its probably best when making a race to leave the percentage/any numbers out of them and just list the skills so that zero can set any value he wants and therefor balancing the race as he sees its needed. I do hope zero will posts or show some sort of recognition towards this topic in general because there is alot of great ideas here and some of these should be in the server once zero has finished making the lost races from the older server. Some skills for some of these races are pretty nice and clever and should be used for a future race no doubt, i hope the right people read thru this thread though.

Maybe even putting like some competition for who can come up with best official race and the one that gets the most votes gets made next? Just a thought tho, kinda like wcs scrim, gets community involved.

Rebellion: (the Anti-immunity race, a rebellion to the current reign of laces:P)
6 lebels per skill


-Branding: enemies within 30-80 ft with immunity (or lace) get their skin color changed to light green. This doesnt affect alpha coloring of vagas, raps and nebula when they use their ult (as opposed to Ranger who kills vagas...).
(this helps spotting who has lace and encourages enemy teamwork if they notice their ally turned green, which means enemy is near)


- Recruit: Gain 1-5 hp per second whenever an enemy with immunity (or lace) is within 30-60ft range.


-Black Market: once per round, press +ability to gamble. randomly gain ONE of those 4 effects: gain 10-80hp, get 10-50% long jump speed and levitation(JUST FOR U SIN), get drugged for 20-5 seconds, get slowed down by 20-10% for 20-10 seconds.
(theres a 50 % chance for smthn gd, another for something bad, sounds fair to me, mostly used at round start)


-Vendetta: 10-40% chance that Damage dealt on enemies with immunity (or necklaces) is increased by 35%




-ultimate: cooldown 20 -10 seconds. NOTE THAT IT BYPASSES LACES and only targets THEM, since this race is anti immunity.

Revolution: Enemies with necklaces ONLY within 30-60 ft radius are slapped 5-15 feet in the air ( movement effect and sound and height is equivalent to about 1-6 back to back admin slaps) the ultimate basically disrupts your aim at low level with chance for fall damage at higher levels).

I like the ult just because it reminds me of war3 mod were blood mage had a passive skill that slapped people high in the air causing them fall dmg, had so many LoL moments from it, but other skills seem odd like black market, doesn't seem enough positives for the negatives, or the hp regen, only when u come close to some1 with a lace? I can see a race like this happening tho, considering how many people buy laces to protect them selfs from invis flying races.

Yeah i love the idea of a race meant for countering lace users, also the ult sounds awesome :) ill say the hp regen isnt that bad, overall this race is good but the black market skill has, i would say more downs then ups for sure. BUT i guess it is gambling... so it's understandable. In all honestly i agree with this. I mean almost everyone buys laces.

Fair enough - although my reasoning behind that is that we've been looking for "radar" or "sonar" (or at least some people) and that would be it and especially since it has a very low percentage of actually activating and is restricted for 1 per team (I've just noticed I didn't mention this) that it would not actually be the end of vaga. The point of that ulti is that it ends really fast even when it's maxed (half time of xonvert) so it's not THAT imbalanced.

As far as troll, yes, no argument there - it needs major tweaking down for it to be somewhat balanced.

i dig the rebellion idea. it'll be tough to see how such a new type of class will function but i would like to see it or something like it someday, even if just for a few days to see how that sort of race can be used. only thing i'd recommend to change really is the increased damage, make it the same for each level, just raise the proc chance.

People that need those skills haven't put enough time into wcs. Anybody that has put any decent time into wcs knows how to counter vagas and usually know where they are too. IF a race comes out with a sonar or whatever, vaga's will be useless. Lace is already crippling enough. On the ranger thing, even if it was half the time of die xon, thats still 4 seconds, i could kill a whole room of people in that time with that ulti. I personally think die xon's ulti is one of the best ultis and I also think nebulas is as well, your suggesting combining them. Nebulas invis last 5 seconds at max, yours is going to last 4 seconds with super speed, lawl.

Well, since you have been here so much longer, I definitely respect your opinion and I'm actually fine with taking out that skill for something else (my post is there to provide a draft or to help zero think of new skills - I don't actually expect to see such a race in the server) even while I personally feel that it wouldn't completely kill vagas due to ranger's limitation (and the vision's % could be nerfed).

*Windwalk. My bad for throwing you off the track here - I wanted to say nebula's as it is 2.5 in the original and unchanged post. Yes, it is an extremely powerful ultimate, but lace can still prevent if close enough and you have to remember that the invisibility at max doesn't last 3 seconds and you don't get xonvert's speed - only 2/3 of it. So yes, it is very strong and people who are good will definitely be able to do some damage, but I don't feel that this ultimate and race (apart maybe from vision) isn't more imbalanced that some other races and ultimates we have.

Shinobi

Kunai-Chance to do bleeding dmg, after a small crit, opponent bleeds for 5 more hp, this effect can stack.

Shurikenjutsu-Your granades have a chance to bleed your opponent, this effect can stack with kunai.

Fuuinjutsu-A sealing teqnique, used at the brink of death, activates when you die causing your opponent to take damage equal to the crit damage he dealt you.(counter to raiden/nebula :plzdie:)

Taijutsu-Increases your movement speed

Ultimate--Kekkei genkai-One random target anywere on the map(like locust) catches on fire taking 10 dmg, this ultimate cannot be blocked by a lace.

Frozen Snare-On hit slows down your opponents movement by 15% percent, this effect can stack 3 times.

Ice shard-On hit, your granades freez all opponents for 3 seconds showing ice animation around their legs

Ice Armor-Gain body armor and take reduced critical magic damage, regular hits still count the same.

Frozen Wards-Pressing ability1 drops wards that reduce your enemies mouse sensitivity(can this be done?) to 0.5

making them use only their movement key's.

Ultimate--Frozen Heaven-Slow down movement speed of any enemy players within 50-75 ft causing similar sound

effects as you were burning.

dont take me wrong, i thought of that too. in my rebellion race, the original ultimate was to freeze evreyone for 4 seconds and bypasses laces, then i noticed that it would literally DESTROY vagabonds because the ultimate effect would make them visibl, and who wants an ultimate without effect?
same goes for ur idea, but even worse is that getting set on fire is the WORST thing u can have as vaga... and thats why we spend a fuckton on laces mostly...

keep the effect, lose the "cannot be blocked". there's no point to that, it becomes op as it isnt restricted by range, so a player can just camp and spam ultimate, and the other can do NOTHING to protect themselves like an ultimate.
i like seeing random ppl spontaneously combust across map, for a small time (unlike current BM), but the bypass lace thing is beyond retarded.
people already hate the "anti_lace" idea, we cant start having all races contain such bypass, IF anything it would be a race dedicated by the lace, and completely useless if the enemy didnt have one (ex, rebellion), but this race is strong as is, add that to the anti_lace, and it;s a fucking murder.

Yeah, I had a few drinks abit today after my car accident, chatting with friends, thought that I could have killed somoene today, but not in wcs, so I made it a race of myself, to mock myself.:D

(10-25% chance to drug target enemy for 1-2 seconds, non stackable)


Rage Mode: When you take damage, 30-60% damage output increased by 20-50% for 2-5 seconds (non stackable duration)


Veteran Asshole: spawn with 15-50 more hp.


Neverending Yapper: GENERATE 2HP every 10-3 seconds.
(yes, it can exceed current max hp, like santa. i did the math properly i think, and for a 2 minute rounds and assuming you dont take damage, at max Level, u MIGHT earn 80 more hp in total from start round to finish, subtract the fact that ur ultimate will destroy ur hp, and i think it's decent)




ultimate:
Ban Hammer: 30-15 s cooldown
You abuse your power, and Maynard gets unleashed on your ass:
(Destroy all enemies within 20-50 ft radius, take damage equal to half their combined health. (just like any abuser, meant to be a one time thing, kudos if you can survive it:P))

Yeah i knew i would get some similar responses but i was thinking of the ultimate meaning by being very unique and it could not be copied since it is blood related trait, so i was going with the theme it could not be prevented by a lace i guess:)

Honestly it only does 10 dmg and would be a piece of cake to counter with just buying rings or extra hp, it honestly couldn't do 50 dmg in a round depending on what cool down you put for an ult, but yeah i def agree with what you are saying.

I still think its pretty cool unique race, would love to get a confirmation that zero is thinking of putting some races from suggested thread in after hes good and ready:D

Pyromancer (4skills/6levels)

Flaming Renewal
- Chance to leech health from target while using grenades

25-50% chance

10-25% of damage dealt is leeched
- Also, chance to absorb opponent's grenade that would deal damage to you

25-50% chance

10-25% of potential damage regained as health

If grenade explodes with teammates nearby, grenade still damages teammates normally


Scorched Earth
- Chance on hit to create a ring of fire around the target

20-35% chance

Fire as is created from hell hunter grenades, though not as tall, shouldn't obstruct vision at all on level ground

Upon activation, this skill doesn't immediately damage target, but they are trapped within the fire

Flames deal 5 damage per 0.2 seconds if enemy moves through them to escape

Radius of empty space within the ring is 18-8ft

Width of the flame itself isn't too great, with vanilla, unaffected speed someone should be able to move through them within half a second

The ring lasts for two seconds, successive activations can stack the damage


Searing Toolbelt
- Increases frag grenade capacity

Max capacity increased by 1-3

Only increases capacity, grenades still must be bought. picked up, or absorbed(see below)

So, if maxed, chance is infact 25%, 50% chance for Flaming Renewal to activate, and then 50% chance for Toolbelt to activate because of it

[ULTIMATE] From the ashes
- Used while dead, has no effect if activated while alive
- While spectating a teammate in first person view, activate ultimate to respawn at that teammate's location.

50-30 second cooldown

Cooldown timer begins at most recent death (say you die, respawn and die again, timer starts again from second death)

Respawn with 100HP, all equipment restored from moment of death

I still havn't decided whether it's a good idea to let the player play the odds and throw grenades at their own feet in the hopes it is absorbed and so they gain health/regain the grenade, thats up for discussion. Say I throw a grenade at my own feet and would deal 70 damage to myself. With a change in the wording, I would have two seperate 50% chances to instead heal 25% of that potential damage, because a grenade I threw is about to deal damage (the first effect) and I'm about to take damage from a grenade (the second effect). So i would essentially have a 75% chance to heal myself a bit, with however many grenades I decided to throw at myself, and a 25% chance to get the grenades back anyway.

The way it's written at the moment, this isn't possible, but it might be a cool thing to add in anyways, gives the player the decision to make as to what use to make of their grenades - whether to try and deal damage to enemies and heal a little, or to deal no damage to enemies and try to heal a lot. Still based on playing the odds though

1. Bust the Hydraulics - 1.2-2.6 long jump and 20-40% speed increase

2. Paralytic Fangs - 11-30% chance to paralyze enemy for 1 second

3. Ambush Advantage - 10-50% chance to ignore evasion/evade while crouched

4. Venomous Bite - 11-30% chance to do 10-20 damage over 8 seconds

5. Salticidae Vision (Ultimate) - Light up enemies within a 750 unit range, pink. 30 second cooldown (open to discussion, not sure how long cooldown should be to be fair to other races)

ALTERNATE 5. Jack of All Spiders - Same as Jack's ULTIMATE

Damn that sounds fuckin' sweet. My dream race bitches.

This ability would work like Eva's knife slash did in the old days but without the beam and without the damage, just a chance to banish for 1-2 seconds. Garenteed to proc on a stab attack.)

Perception Filter: People tend to not notice you. (a combination of flickering shadows with a humans invisibility)

(ULTIMATE) Regeneration: "I don't want to go..." (When an attack brings your HP to lower than 11-1 you are instantly teleported back to spawn with full hp. Occurs only once per round and can be manually triggered by pressing your ultimate)

I view this race as balanced with high defensive skills and utility skills with little to no attacking skills. While it does have a fast movement speed and some evasion it doesn't have any added damage, doesn't get any gravity reduction like other knife races, and doesn't get any escape abilities besides its fast runspeed. I view it as an ambush class and added abilities to help against pesky classes that try to stay out of melee range.

i love the ult, reminds me of how warden was in the older days were you could activate the ult and be relocated at your spwn, i would count this and invisibility/evasion an escape ability as well tho. I also like the level requirement, its getting old with these 320 lvl requirements not motivating people to level other races.

oh btw, this is my race:


Time Traveler


Knockback: 5-15% chance of throwing the enemy 2-5 seconds into his past (activates effect on enemy similaR effect of genocide but without the health gain.)
(this is basically for pushing back enemies running towards u or falling on u)


Time dilation: Every 10 seconds alternates normal speed and speed boost by 10-50%


Relativity: When shooting an enemy with more HP, 10-30% chance to increase damage by 80%, but if shooting an enemy with less hp, 10-20% chance to have damage deal cut by half.


Paradox: When shot, 10-25% chance to negate any damage for 5 seconds, but you get dealt that same damage right after. (basically buys u time before the damage is dealt, non stackable)


Ultimate: cooldown 30-20 seconds
Back to the future: activate ultimate to disappear from location and get spawned randomly (not in mid air) within 20-60 feet, gain 25hp.
