View Full Version : Income Tax Refund?
Well I already got my income tax return and spent just about all of it. Got 2300 back all together and here is what i spent it on:
$560 went to UMFK because that college is a shitty university.
$373 went to a new K&N Cold air intake for my 5.9l Dodge ram.
$206 went to a street performance throttle body spacer and a set of leveling keys.
$250 went to my 2003 Cannondale x440 dirtbike payment
$175 went to my 2010 Yamaha YFZ 450x payment
$300 went to a set of 4 Avalanche Tour tickets plus my very own VIP Pass, so my friends and I can get in early and meet the bands.
And finally the remaining balance went to other bills like cell phone and insurance etc etc.
I can't wait to meet Stone Sour, Theory of a Deadman, Skillet, Halestorm, and Art of dying backstage. :wtg:
Now my question to all of you, what sorts of useless stuff did you spend it on like myself? Seeing as not everyone gets it at the same time, this topic needs to stay up top fo sho.

My cousin and several friends claim that Skillet concerts are the best concerts they have ever been too.
As for my tax return? Its going to a new 7d cannon camera, maybe a new lens and the rest is going to my wife to be put into a 'savings account' or whatever that is.

Well they are a Christan band.
Who they fuck cares? If they can get a crowd going crazy by yelling jesus at them for an hour... they have all right to yell jesus at them for an hour.
Say it with me.... Front Fucking Row! One more time, FRONT FUCKING ROW!

hell, i don't really care. it's just that certain bands that might be decent normally, are ruined because of the "message" they feel compelled to spread (read: U2)
skillit is an amazing band though. what is on the setlist?
Not sure what they are playing...

$9,300
$300 on a safe.
May buy 3K worth of silver and 2k worth of gold and resell and buy again.
Need a new TV but ehhh.. barley watch it anyway.
Just imagine if there was a system where they always got the correct amount so instead of getting money back we never would have lost said money to begin with so you would have your refund+interest, that is at least a few more beers!

this
tax returns are retarded. you're basically getting money back, that you didn't need to pay out in the first place. essentially, you've given the government a loan for X ammount of dollars, without interest.
Although if you pay them too little they get interest!?

not quite. the government wants you to pay your taxes, BUT they are extremely hesitant to send people out to collect them. they'd rather send you tons of notices threatening action, before coughing up the money to pay someone to come out and collect. Thus, underpaying actually works in your favor, because in that case the money is available for your use if you need it.
of course that's only if you wouldn't be able to afford the taxes, and needed it for food/whatever. too much of that can lead to more charges being levied, but on the whole it is far better than giving the gov't free money.

Sadly general populus cant save money and poorly manage it... and on top of that with poor income class most tend to get alot more then they ever pay into taxes.... They get 2500 for earn income credit for each child and all kinds of things. so someone that makes 15k can get back 7k
its retarted really
oh and im getting 2k back and ill be using it for a down payment on a new car
