I agree we need much steeper punishments from abuse, the pub seems to be very well moderated (at least in my experience), and I've never played in the ZM but it sounds like its a 24/7 shitstorm in there.

Perhaps when (if) the new admin system takes effect we could also see severe punishments put in for abuse. Repeat admin offenders should just get tossed month-long and/or perma bans. We don't need their garbage around whether they're admins or not.

Eh, it only gets interesting when >4 admins are in the server at one time. I usually don't run into any problems when I'm in there.

Also, I agree with Rob, accidents in the server are OK if you're new if you sincerely apologize to the players, but if you're harassing players and power abusing you should get a warning/time-out and then admin removed or something to that effect. Know why you're an admin: to keep everyone having fun. If its not fun, people won't play, server will become empty, people stop buying admin, etc. Ghost town. :violin:

2 things:
1- this topic got off course since it went from a rob admin discussion to a smurf trial.

2- i always play with smurf, he likes to play music, sure.
but not EVER did i ask him to stop it and he didnt stop.
he will always stop playing on cue, specially if an admin or reg told him to do so.
heck, most admins and regs REQUEST songs from him... its usually non-regs that randomly join and see a mic spammer and start treating him like shit before even asking him to stop.

TYPE IT to him when u need him to stop, he might not hear u well over the mic with the music playing...
sure, sometimes we could use some strategic quiet in game, and thats when i instantly tell smurf to stop playing so that i hear footsteps when alone. but some other times, the server gets boring, and he spices is it up..
clearly a misunderstanding... i never had trouble with him, and i will personally take care of any smurf issues in the future, if any.
sure he could tone down the volume a bit for a few songs and play music intermittently and not straight, but u just need to let him know to stop, and he will.... plus, his songs are badass:D

If we're talking about admin abuse in general, I really haven't seen that much lately, at least not as much as I used to witness. Apart from a few No_Clips and a coupe of Slay_Alls, comitted by only three different admins, there just hasn't been much going on.

all I've seen lately is admins giving out harsher consequences for small issues. Also i find alot of randoms (non admins) saying they are going to get so and so in here to ban you. when they are just mad

Also i think it was said before but there should be an application process for admin, if they want admin they have to be well known and played for a while, then admins can request for him to be added(after paying of course)
