New Site is coming

We will soon (within the next few days to week, tomorrow at earliest) begin the move to a new version of VB. This will thus also remake the entire website. The transition will take a few weeks but this has been over a year in the making. The new forums will come with many new features and will also allow us to finally launch the new admin system next month.

Note that the forums will look a bit different and it will take some time to get a new style fully implemented. However once everything is done I hope that we will all be able to enjoy a better site and forums. :wtg:

Also you may want to backup any important threads or data you have encase something goes really wrong and even my backups get owned.

Yea, this will now be delayed till next weekend... I needed to wake up early and work on this all day.

However, tonight I made chicken marsala which turned out great. Unfortunately I did not know that you can not put potatoes down the garbage disposal. So now my sink is clogged (unfixable with a plunger) and I think the disposal is broken b/c you hear what sounds like sand when you turn it on...

So now I got to spend all day tomorrow dealing with this...

Shut the power off to the disposal unit via circuit breaker. Then use a butter knife to try and clear the outlet ports and blade of debris. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE DOING THE NEXT STEP. Clear the large stuff out with tongs or your hands if you don't have the tongs.

(Although I doubt Zero would do this, I do think someone here would try to put their hand in the disposal unit without shutting the power off at the breaker. If you do this, :stupid: and say good bye to at the least a finger.)

If the clog isn't cleared yet turn the power on and run the disposal in 1 second intervals. Still not working? Time to go back to just pipes with no disposal unit, replace the unit, or call someone to do it for you (enjoy the $$ being forcibly ripped out of your pockets).

Actually found out the disposer is fine.

Here is what I did:

Removed 2gal of water from sinks by moving it into a bucket which was then pored down the toilet. Then tried again to use the plunger. Realized the clog was at the J bend. Went to closet and got a coat hanger, bent strait and then made a U at the end with the wire that has the corkscrew. Placed down the other end of the sink and jammed it around. Turned on disposer and continued to poke at the J bend. Water level went down slowly so I added more hot water. It was still filling up so I stopped and continued poking until the water got out. Then I pored bleach down and continued poking for a few min. Then I turned the hot water back on and added some soap and cleaned the sinks. Then switched to cold then back to hot and the sink was unclogged and cleaned.

Now I can still make pancakes and sausage tomorrow!

Also this puts us back on schedule for an update tomorrow afternoon.
