View Full Version : Censorship is alive and well in America
NBC is running a propaganda special on Clinton. Twisting facts and crowning him "President of the World." As if that wasn't liberal enough, they've censored the NRT-PAC's commercial on clinton. After the airtime was purchased and they saw the content, NBC refused to run the commercial.
Propaganda, censorship, the liberals just get better and better.
Why am I posting this here? Because EVERY American should know about this.

What is funny is that you would always hear how bad fox is on bias but then I started to look into it and found some. However, I then went and did the same thing for the other stations. What I found was that they all were bias and that therefore the judge was not if they were bias or even who they were bias toward but how much. From this I found that NBC was the worst station in existence not simply from a measure of the amount of bias but also because of the totally insane amount of fact fiction. While all the stations have bias to a degree NBC is so bad that I can not trust anything they say one way or the other. :smirk:

yeah i stopped watching news cause of shit like that.... pbs is mabye the less but even then.... Is so amazing to watch what news says on whats fact or fiction........ I remember when fox bad mouth Mass effect and saying ti had full nudity and how you could have all the sex you want in the game.... and gamers were in an uproar..... All news is anymore is bad entertainment
Mikey I'm a member of the NRT-PAC. I pay dues. We get newsletters basically asking us for more money and telling us recent goings-on mostly in political news. I'm not a republican, I'm a libertarian, but NRT-PAC has much more pull and isn't too far off from my beliefs so I gotta fight with what I can :p
I got this information from that newsletter. I don't know if commercial airtime is a matter of public record but is it really so hard to believe?
Well I know that a lot of their content came from the fact they were owned by GM however I wonder if anything will change once Comcast is running the show...

If anything it will get worse because then net neutrality gets dragged in.

They passed that in December so we are already fucked, unless something changes. I am still convinced that the fed getting more involved in the internet can only make things much, much worse.

Hell... To me there is no such thing as a "democracy" anymore... Everything is leaning to socialism... What's next curfew after 12 am? I wonder what is happening in Washington, they might close the government on March 4th... What The FUCKKK..

Oh my god... you sound like my grand mother. Whats wrong with liberalism? Liberalism is the way forward. Conservatives are still stuck in 1950.

I haven't even seen US news in a long time but I know how fucked up they are. Theres only a select few who are any good (like Maddow, Olberman (miss him), Maher, Judge Napolitano, Anderson Cooper) but other than that, its really shit. For my news I just got to reddit. To me, if its not on reddit, its not worth reading/watching.

Everyone complains about the shit the government does but they dont actively try to make a difference. That is why we are all doooooomed!!

Easier said than done.
Liberals, conservatives... they're all corrupted, they only care about themselves. Two-party system is bull, when will people realize we should elect based on intellect and not who has the best campaign.

That would require intelligence. Something people lack.

That is becuase they are both fascist and I say that knowing the exact meaning of the words I am using and the meaning of this statement.

Actually thanks to the brilliance of our founders we get a chance to overthrow our government about every 4 years. (if you consider all the elections occurring in that 4 year period)

Well basically what we have with the "overthrow" every 4 years is a system of out of the frying pan, into the fire. Out of the fire, onto the stove. Off of the stove, into the oven. Out of the oven, onto the floor (which as we learned as kids is lava). Off of the floor, to the center of the earth where we burn, then end up in China as communists. Really the 2 party system is a joke, which is why I don't vote for politicians. I'll vote on specific issues one way or the other, but if I vote for a politician, I'm not voting for what he stands for, rather what the party stands for, and since I don't agree totally with either party I'll be voting for things that I want no part in. If I could go back in time and somehow stop parties from developing, all you present-folk would be chillin in flying cars and shit.
Voting on the issues would be voting on the lines as that is how they draw them...
It is that very methodology that has gotten us in so much trouble. People are voting on issues and not on principles. Sure there are always issues but they only bring out the select few for you to choose between and the choices themselves are a joke. Like would you rather go bankrupt today or in 10 years. Well I would rather not go bankrupt at all.
Our leaders get to make many decisions outside of the little box of issues we have on the election day. This is why voting on principles is what is important. Then I have an idea as to how this person is going to respond under conditions or toward issues that are not on the table now.
If we got people to look at the candidates individually and assess their values and principles we would have much better people leading out country. Until we start to look at people and not issues we will be caught in this trap forever.
(ok this thread is starting to get off topic now)

"We are willing enough to praise freedom when she is safely tucked away in the past and cannot be a nuisance. In the present, amidst dangers whose outcome we cannot foresee, we get nervous about her, and admit censorship." - E.M. Forster
Censorship arises from fear, which is freakin everywhere. Fear of losing jobs (as will happen if an elected official steps out of party lines), fear of the consequences of our decisions, fear of being politically incorrect, fear of the unknown etc. It's impossible to get this point across to an entire country, but we were founded not on fear but on courage. When we get that courage back, when we find our testes, we'll be back on the right track and the issue of censorship as well as many others won't be such a worry.
