Name: Germans
Steam ID: I forgot sb_status...But Aco got it in his demo.
Hacks: Wall Hacks
Ban Time: Perma
I was unsure about this, and still maybe kind of am, but numerous players messaged me about him, and many noted it in game.
I have two demos, and Aco got one.

here's my demo. probably same footage as autumn, but i put sb_status in there early on.
Good god, I had a long-winded post written in the case that I was banned without proof or notice.
Name in Game: Counter Strike Source 208.43.70.233:27015
Steam-ID:
Who banned you: Autumn | ibis.a
When: 12:54am
Where: 208.43.70.233:27015
Why banned:
From my sources, Autumn believes I was wallhacking.
Other/Reason to unban:
I honestly don't care if I'm unbanned or not, this has been my first few games in a long while and I have shit to do these days.
I can say with 100% certainty that I was not wallhacking, and I STRONGLY urge any experienced player to take a look at the demos, especially Autumn. Hopefully Autumn and you other hack-accusers can learn from demos of better players (not necessarily me) and realize the difference between hackers and those who don't hack. I hope this serves as an example to decrease bias and unfair bans.
If you two are both admins, maybe your abilities should be called into question, depending on the outcome.
Edit: watched my demo as posted by acolyte, I can see the part where you must have thought I was hacking. As I came up the ladder, you should be able to see that I saw the enemy player amongst the boxes, and that's when I also jumped and attempt to shoot him over the box. After that, there was only one or two places he could have appeared from, and that's where I moved my mouse towards.
I guess I shouldn't have expected many of you to realize that. If anyone has more scenes in which you think I hack, let me know, I'll explain them when I have time.

it was mostly your odd tendency to wait in a corner of some boxes, looking AT the boxes an sit there for a few seconds, before moving again and jumping out to kill people.
seemed extremely fishy. most normal players wouldn't look straight at what amounts to blank walls while leaving your back completely expose, unless they can tell who is where.
might be radar hacks now that i think of it.
Thanks for replying.
Take a look at the corners again, do you see Mafia in the same corner I'm in every time? That's because I was following him, he was on knife level and i felt like stealing his kills, we're on good terms and I felt like messing with him a bit ;)
I was not staring into walls, I was mostly trying to get him to notice me. I can't see how looking into damn walls would help a wallhacker regardless, if I had wallhacks, I wouldn't need to move my character into a wall to see past it. If I had shitty wallhacks (There are material ones. No, I don't use them, and anyone who'se played CS:S for more than 2 years knows about them) that have limited visibility, even then looking into the box would be to NO advantage, or at least I wouldn't think so.
When it comes to shitty wallhacks (or at least the mostly commonly available material ones) material wallhacks rely on the way the map is compiled. From what I've gathered, there are VIS maps created automatically (edit them manually as a mapper) that prevent a player from rendering models/walls that aren't within view. This is to increase FPS. If I was staring into that box with these type of wallhacks, I wouldn't have been able to see past it due to the way the map was created.
Now, if I didn't have that type of wallhacks, staring into the wall is something I wouldn't need to do regardless. Now that I've made it obvious that I've been playing CS:S for quite some time, I think we can both agree that I wouldn't blatantly stare into walls if I was wallhacking.
Off to sleep, I'll answer replies tomorrow.

yet, how does it help a non-wallhacking player?

Good god, I had a long-winded post written in the case that I was banned without proof or notice.
I honestly don't care if I'm unbanned or not
So you admit to your hacking and knew I was onto you, so you already wrote a letter claiming you aren't? People who don't hack don't prepare themselves to be called hackers and are ready to defend themselves.
Then good, you and your hacks will stay banned.
yet, how does it help a non-wallhacking player?
.. I see you didn't get the main point to my post, I was following Mafia who was on knife level, and was hiding in the corners to wait for someone to knife. Reread my post, I don't want to revisit this "looking into walls" thing again. As I already tried to say, it's not a good argument in the first place.

No. I wrote up an unban request after I was banned from the server. I was prepared to post it, and then someone sent me the URL to this topic through steam.
No, I didn't have a response formulated before being banned, but if you're wondering, yes I knew some jerkoffs were "on to me", someone in chat said he was going to spectate me, and you were in spectator also watching me, which was apparent from your voice chat. I played as I always would have played CS:S, without hacks, I shouldn't have trusted your judgment, maybe I should have acted like a shit player instead.
Even if I did had a response made up before being banned, there's no way you could make the conclusion that I'm hacking.
I also see you quoted my "I honestly don't care if I'm unbanned or not". That's true, I don't play CS:S much anymore, this is more for your benefit, though I can see now that the outcome is looking grim.

you didn't really explain the looking into the walls at all. you're just brushing it off. the fact is, looking into the walls would only hurt a normal player, but not a wallhacker.
you didn't really explain the looking into the walls at all. you're just brushing it off. the fact is, looking into the walls would only hurt a normal player, but not a wallhacker.
How is this brushing it off?
.. I see you didn't get the main point to my post, I was following Mafia who was on knife level, and was hiding in the corners to wait for someone to knife. Reread my post, I don't want to revisit this "looking into walls" thing again. As I already tried to say, it's not a good argument in the first place.
Not to mention the lengthy post I made earlier.
I explained that I was following mafia twice now.
Why?
He was on knife level,
I was following him
He was the one who went into corners
I was the one who followed him into the corners and
I was concentrating on his player
I even explained how it WOULD NOT benefit any common wallhacker,
or even a real vac-bannable wallhacker to be THAT BLATANT
I'm pretty sure I made it obvious that I'm not new enough to the game to stare into walls if I was hacking.
Are the scenes in your demo the ones we're talking about here? I feel like we're thinking of completely different things, because this is just nuts.
You shouldn't ban willy nilly if you think someone's wallhacking, It's VERY HARD to prove a good player has wallhacks, almost impossible, when it comes to skilled players, their reaction time is so small that it's nearly impossible to detect the difference between flinch-aim based on legit reaction and flinch-aim based on their knowledge as a wallhacker. This is common knowledge amongst competitive players. You can catch a wallhacker, but that's only if they're following people with their mouse through walls. You simply spectated for "hacks" long enough that situations eventually arise that look close enough to hacks.
I sent you a friends request (if you're ingame name is priest) I think it would be easier to discuss the demo on steam chat.
p.s. edit the title, my steam ID is STEAM_0:0:10940846

I banned you and you're going to stay banned.
ONTOPIC:
Good catch Joker, he was next on my list.
I did befriend him, Mafia is a good guy, but I had a feeling he, too, was hacking.
And I agree with Wacko, wallhacks are very hard to catch. I had 4 different people watching Germans before I banned him, all agreed with me.
It's hard work, but we're trying.
"I banned you and you're going to stay banned." Isn't the sort of attitude an admin should have.
How am I supposed to prove that I'm not hacking when nobody will show me a scene where I am hacking? You people are also ignoring my explanations to your obscure comments.
You should know as well as anyone that there's no proof in numbers, now hurry up and give me a chance to prove my innocence, will you?

Three things here:
1. If you would like to be unbanned, post a thread in the Unban Me section of the forums. That's the only way to get anything done.
2. I honestly just don't see anything. Every single remotely questionable kill can be explained by radar usage, anticipation, sound, and good reactions.
3. Regarding toasties' attitude: she's an admin here, a respected and authoritative member of the community. If you are banned, the best thing to do is to make a post in the section previously stated, keeping it civil and emotionless, only giving facts and an explanation. In your initial post, even the slight negative attitude is a major put-off, and your attacks on an admin, provoked or not, are uncalled for at this time.

I'll watch the vids soon. however, Acolyte and Toasties are pretty good observers since they mainly play GG. You claim they have no proof when there are witnesses and two admins on oh and don't forget the 3 demos.
what is more fishy is that you try to defend yourself when you have nothing to back it up.
actually lemme rephrase that:
whats even more fishy is that you try to defend's Nolies's case that he wasn't hacking while watching his demo: http://www.ibisgaming.com/forums/showthread.php/6031-(STEAM_0-1-1953801)-Nolie-Wall-Hacks?p=103103#post103103

There's also one point where he predicts a player coming down a pathway, but anyone could have predicted that, especially with good headphones. What else have you people found for evidence? So far I wouldn't call it enough evidence to ban, and as an admin, I would have spectated for more time."
seems like you want us to think you are an expert in hackers when clearly you fail at defending one and failed at trying to be one or maybe you are Nolie.

That's what people thought about me when I was accused of hacking and was posting in other hacking accusation threads. You're looking too deep into it. He's just trying to be helpful and seem like an intelligent person. Try to base your opinion of him not on his "fishiness," rather on the solid evidence provided. You're making a judgment on a player before watching the demos, and therefore if you see anything slightly questionable, you'll scream HACKS. Try to keep it objective, not subjective.

Thank you Brett. I had already told him to make a thread in the unban me section before, and since he has yet to do so, he doesn't really care if he's unbanned, he's just trying to discredit me.
As far as I can recall, I've only had one ban overturned, and that's when I banned Walter permanently and he was an admin at the time. I may not be a professional at catching a hacker, but I'm not ignorant to it either.
He's not "pleading" his case at all. He's just telling us that my demos are shit and that he doesn't hack. He was looking through the boxes in Deagle, he knew where everyone was and always went for them. The radar can't be used like THAT. No one is THAT good.
His attitude is just going to keep him banned, and that's alright with me.

LOL nah i woudln't be so obvious and scream "HACKS" to give the hacker enough time to leave or stop hacking :lmao:
hmmm i can only watch ecoli's demo but not yours Autumn. Naka looks pretty good with those pistols though... so far. :smirk:

Just by glancing at this thread I can tell he's probably not hacking.
Proper format to respond, long well formed responses, and he doesn't sound like he's 12.
I did read most of the thread, and have yet to review a demo, but I think that he's alright.
Thank you Brett. I had already told him to make a thread in the unban me section before, and since he has yet to do so, he doesn't really care if he's unbanned, he's just trying to discredit me.
Looking over the past 2 pages, I didn't see you request me to post in the unban section. I do faintly remember talking to Mafia, and he said something about me posting in the unban section, I then found this thread which seemed to be a good place to discuss bans. (I added Mafia to friends only after the fact I was banned, me and him were scoring top place so we joked a little that we would beat one another, decided to tell him the situation). I've seen Mafia has been banned and I ask you to ignore any relation we might have, as I really have no idea what kind of player he is.
I made a thread in the unban section, thanks for reminding me. Can we have future posts redirected here? http://www.ibisgaming.com/forums/showthread.php/6071-Germans-02-27-2011-12-54am?p=103370#post103370

We all make mistakes. Sorry about my attitude in the first post, but I've met many admins if you know what i mean.
I am trying to explain my actions, but it's hard to prove I'm not hacking when all you have to provide is obscure references to me looking at boxes? I realize now that I haven't watched your megaupload demos, my mind must have skipped over those, but I can completely argue Priest's demo. I would like you to name a spot in any demo where you think i'm hacking in the new thread I made, I'll be happy to argue my point of view.
he knew where everyone was and always went for them.I do know the Deagle map pretty well, and there are places where people always show up, I also aim towards those areas. I'm not aware of the scenes you speak of in particular, could you pick one out for me? I'm positive it was just chance or lucky/good use of map knowledge.
As far as I can recall, I've only had one ban overturned, and that's when I banned Walter permanently and he was an admin at the time. I may not be a professional at catching a hacker, but I'm not ignorant to it either.
In my opinion it's because people are too lazy to argue a ban, much easier to join another server. Either way, I think this is irrelevant.

I had a little fun watching the demos on this forum and seeing, I'm just offering my opinion. My current attitude is that unfair bans are being handed out. In the end, there are only facts, I think you can disprove me if I'm lying. I have no idea who Nolie is, or players from the other demos I commented on. I hope you can agree that my posts on other threads are irrelevant.
what is more fishy is that you try to defend yourself when you have nothing to back it up.
The thread provided demos. I can provide explanations given an accusation. I'm in the process of making an unban thread.
umm this might be a little off topic, but for some one that doesn't care if they get unbanned or not sure seems to be oftly persistant in trying to get unbanned.........am I the only one that noticed that?
Just to prove my innocence. I'll likely join the server again some time, but It's true I don't care much, I could play on the server right now if I want, I have multiple accounts I use to play with friends, but why bother hiding my identity? It would become obvious eventually.

2. If you see anything, let me know, I'll try to explain it.
3. Despite knowing she's wrong about the hacks, I shouldn't have displayed a negative attitude, you're totally right.
Again, I made a thread in the unban section, please post here people! http://www.ibisgaming.com/forums/showthread.php/6071-Germans-02-27-2011-12-54am?p=103370#post103370
