You heard me while on Skype with James and decided to come in to be a funny guy.

You deliberately came in to use a gun, and since I knew this is why you came to play IBIS GG, I banned you for 5 minutes.

You're causing drama.

before the game began all players agreed to a knife only game up to nade lvl the only player banned was using the name tommyknockers or something similar and that player was warned several times before being kicked serveral times prior to the ban as a long time player on these servers i'd had to see the circle of good admins get smaller over misunderstanding like this one :chillpill:

Now here is what is awesome about having the source tv demo. We get to hear 10min of the game being knife only and people saying and doing that with you there before you get banned.

So if anything these demos and this thread show you willing and knowingly breaking rules and directly disobeying the commands of at least 2 admins who were on at the time. Disrupting the general order of the server which was all using knife at the time. In addition you are also cheating by getting easy levels by going against the rule at the time and using weapons when you know your not supposed to. In fact the demos show such blatant and clear violation of multiple rules that I question if more than a ban should be done.

What does everyone else think? Were the rule violations enough to warrant a longer ban, perhaps even some stats modification? Or should we cut him some slack and assume he did not understand just how many rules he was breaking? :smirk:

Since the rules were not put to a text vote and because it IS gungame and because its really not a big deal...I'd say just let it go, but if the issue causes further drama in the future, actions can be taken at that point.

As I already stated.

James was on Skype with Tentoes, and he heard me telling people to knife only. He deliberately came in to cause drama with me by going against what I was saying.

I'm sick of it.

I refuse to get in trouble because other people decide they want to be dicks for no apparent reason.

I just want to simplify this for anyone who is jumping on and not reading the long posts:

Everyone on the server is doing X and has been doing so for over 10min.

Another player does Y and is told repeatedly to do X.

The player doing Y is banned to protect the players who are doing X who is everyone other than the player doing Y.

So that is what happened and I assume that everyone here would agree that that is how they would expect that scenario to turn out...

He started the demo before going it, went and started trouble, and got himself banned trying to entrap toasties

This whole thing's a joke. If tentoes didn't know, the ban was unjustified, but it was 5 minutes so whatever. If he did, sure a 5 min ban is ok, but let's just leave it at that. Let's just all get along.

When you were banned it was already your third round. If it was not suspicious enough the fact that you started a demo the second you got in already implies that you suspected that something was going on and that something like this was going to happen almost as if you can in there to create this scenario. The logs, actual source tv demo and your own evidence make it quite clear what is really going on.

To try to drive this point any further questions my intelligence and additionally tries my patience. Now lets try to :chillpill:
