This is a cell phone pic I found from 2005 when the clan itself was only a few friends who played in cal. We started off on the streets with no server but thanks to this growing community that we have had after launching our first server years ago we have become the great community and servers we are today :icon_mrgreen:

Think IBIS is ever going to die? This message was sent to everyone via e-mail on the original forums January 18, 2007:


"1. IBIS IS NOT DEAD. Only our leader (who, with all respect was only mostly a server admin) has resigned his position. We are being run now by others who will strive to hold this clan together, and respect all those former members who have held strong throughout this confusion.

2. WE ARE BACKTRACKING. We notice that we tried to expand much too fast into a large clan. We are going back to the good old 20 man pub that made us so likeable by so many.

3. WE ARE NOT SPLITTING UP. We have become aware of many rumors swarming throughout the clan. These rumors stem from many things, including Jared's resignation. Most IBIS members have not distinctly left. They are in a sort of limbo, and they need to come back to what we had. We are going back to the good times, where everyone was happy. "

The above was the post made by 'voodoo the llama' and can sum it up fairly well.

The new server will be 20 slots, and the maps/mods will be chosen and dictated by the community and its members.

Also, since it seemed to be a major concern of all those that left, the AWP and AUTOSNIPERS will be unrestricted, or at least, limited to 2 a team.

Now that one of the main admins/founders has stepped down from his position(Jared/JigSaW), the current members and community will dictate what ibis should now do in all reasonable bounds.
We understand that a few clans have spurred off to create exactly what ibis is doing, or is about to do, so why not simply return to ibis, just in time for CAL?

All previous admins and clan positions will be (re)assigned without discrimination.

We acknowledge that the members who left did so with justification, but now that ibis is reformed, why not come back?

Lets do exactly what clans are suppose to do, which seemed to have been forgotten…have fun!

I hope to see all of you return to a great clan.

It would be 12 months later in December of 2007 that IBIS Gaming got its own forums on vbulliten which we use to this day :smirk:

Hello ZER0, sorry to bother you with server drama so early as an admin...

There has been some issue with admin The Sandman (not sure if that is the exact name)
calling =AHillz= members: "venters" "ghosters" etc. I wasn't going to bring this up I figured it
was just because we were new however I witnessed Malefica kicked tonight.

I was going to mal's house to dicuss meeting up @ the bar. After arriving I played with his pup and
watched him own/be owned a little. He was the only one playing... after watching 5minutes Sandman
said, which appeared to be in reply, that we were just venters and mentioned a derogatory remark
about us. Honestly out of nowwhere. Malefica replied he didn't even have a mike you fucking ass. I'm
sure it was something quite beligerant never the less, truthful. Sandman then kicked his ass. Mal had
to wait (full server) then pops back on 5min later and tells Sandman he can't be pulling this shit with
CoLa as an admin. Sand asked if "are you threatning me!?" hostily a few times. Mal told Sandman
that he said what he wanted to say. End of that bullshit.

Everyone on the server seems to be cool with us and accept us, now that we've played
with them for so many hours. Most of the players have seen howoften we play alone, duos, trios,
quatros. How our playstyle is damn good at times (shitty at others) that we fuck up and rape and make
mistakes like good players. Noone has really tried to call this "vent" shit on us. We're all literally
best friends that live in michigan, we're competetors at heart and would never try to get
the upperhand on a freaking pub let alone each other. We're too goddamn competitive
hell mal brags all day about being top 10, think we're gonna try and ruin our integrity by
venting or ghosting? It's honestly ridiculous.

AHillz is a college group of potsmoking gradeschool friends who love playin games
(been playing counterstrike for 5+ years, just took a break for a year or two then joined IBIS)

I purchased admin for more credibility and stability. There were some people
throwing up =AHillz= Lozerkid (laptop) and tking the shit out of teammates. It is just
ridiculous, I want to have a fantastic server to play onn. We don't play cal or anything
we just pub like nubs so it's fun to have a solid server to hang out and frag on. Noone wants their clan
to look silly or hackers to play the game, were as large in favor of that as anyone. If anything
we believe we bring more competitive, skill based action to the game. We do it in a
legit manner as anyone else would.

Just giving you a heads up ZER0, honestly man you seemed really cool today which
I respect. We've gotten a slight bit of grief ever since we started playing 1-2 weeks ago.
I will definitely address sandman in a positive manner but being firm he needs to show
some respect and chill, play the game, have fun.

Just making sure you understand where ahillz comes from.
