well my computer crapped out on me

yeah its hard drive crashed and ive tried fixing it myself using the programs on it but its no use :( ill try to get an other new one quickly if all fails.

You could just get a new HDD... in the future you may want to run RAID so that you have a live backup at all times. :wtg:

I was going to do my backup today, well guess what!!! IT doesnt want me to and before i woke up this morning it crapped out :(

btw is RAID free or 0.o

EDIT~! Umm also what HDD should i be looking for like what spefic brand, if there is a good one.
Also im using a HP Laptop.

2.5 inch HDD (unless its a netbook then 1.8), no need for a specific brand. yea raid is free, although you need two HDD to do it, and I dont think you can do that with your HP, your other choice would be to always have a bare metal backup, I have made a few of those. quite nice.

Software re installation is failing :(, seems like some other people are experincing the same. Oh well guess my computer is going to R.I.P. XD Was a good computer for what i used it for

I know i could get a new HDD but to get it installed and everything costs money that i could buy a new computer for :/ From what ive seen.

our 5 year old HP finnaly craped out, though the HDD still works fine. Didnt expect it to last much longer, it would idle a 75 degrees :lmao:, even after getting as much dust out we could.

So apperantley hitting the harddrive on a desk makes it work again. But now my back up disk is stuck at 4% because of this damn file named

C:\System Recovery Files\2011-04-15 074044\Program Files (x86)\HP...\explode.ogg

anyone know how to fix this damn thing:/ help is appreciated :D
