Well, this is it....its all she wrote.

First and foremost I'd like to say a thank you to Ibis community for allowing me to be part of it. In many ways it was a semi-home to me. I have met new friends within its walls. Friends that now follow me. I feel as if I am leaving behind something that helped me move forward. Perhaps it truly did. I came to Ibis knowing already a few things about servers and web building. I took awhile to soak in the ways of how a community would work such as this one. Thanks to Ibis I have learned many good things.

The reason I talk like this is because I have started my own community...I would have not threaded this up however I am an admin and I am officially writing my resignation of IBIS Admin. I am not sure what falls under being in two communities at once but I am positive this will also fall under me leaving IBIS as a community regular as I am now part of a new community, my own.

I have built something similar to that of IBIS and as I respect IBIS and zero's community I will not link it in this thread. However if you wish to friend me and ask questions about it go on ahead I am sure there is nothing wrong with that. Anyways this is about me leaving and as I said this is an Admin request for zero as to delete me for admin and cancel my subscription on my card via PayPal.

Throughout the month of me playing in IBIS I have let slip the word I was creating something. Something with gaming servers as well as a community. Many of you have already judged me to be a failure as well as some have supported me in helping me realize my dream. I can officially say, the community I created is up and running. I have done it. This is a testament to anybody that if you put your mind to it you can truly do anything regardless of who and how many people tell you that you can not.

My community, For those who thought I could and to those who thought I couldn't.

Farewell IBIS.

I didn't judge you as a failure... I said that you're going 2 be like the 10'th person 2 come 2 ibis, see what we got, assume you can do it, and than reality kicks and and you realize you're not zero aka superman and your community ends up being incredibly mediocre and eventually gets shut down cause there's no point and little support behind it.

I have nothing against you and I do wish you luck in your ventures, I simply play the odds is all. owning a server and buying a domain name and starting a forum doesn't even scratch the surface of what IBIS does and puts out. but you will learn all this in time, as did all those before you.

farewell.

maynard completely speaks the truth. the only group that actually even lasted was smuT and that was because they started out fairly big anyways and provide something we don't have.

They are right, if you are relying on your "friends" from IBIS becoming regulars in your new server it isn't going to happen. They may come into your server and play once or twice but they will always come back to IBIS because it's the best :cheer:

What Maynard said is extremely true. Getting a server going doesn't just take your own hard work, you can put all the time into the world to make it awesome, but if it doesn't have the constant player base that never leaves the server empty it will be hard.

No matter, I wish you luck.

Wish u luck, running game servers and keeping the community u may started takes a lot of work and a little bit of luck. Running and making servers is the easy part keep a user base is the hard part. I run a minecraft server for fun for ibis with zero permission and evern so its hard to keep up a constant user base..... takes tremendus deadication to keep the interrest to users...... again wish u well and best of luck.
