Temp Fast DL outage

The fast dl will be offline for a bit while I update some stuff to speed it up. This will result in download speeds a few hundred times faster.

IT applies to everything I realized that the fast dl was actually very slow and so I fixed a setting that will allow it to fill your bandwidth now.

Hope this fixed some of the red failed download text I get in console occasionaly. Wtgg!!

It didn't seem to slow, but if we can get it even faster I wouldn't complain. And how much longer will it take because the fast download is still down.

actually it was pretty slow at times. you probably wouldnt have noticed much bcos u play mostly GG maps, which are more compact...
try downloading a zombie or wcs map u will start chewing on your own keyboard sometimes waiting for it to load properly (and lose vagabond in the wait >_<)

YEa with the new zm maps after the change I found myself waiting on the server to load the map b/c I had already dl and decompressed it. SSD with the faster dl speed is crazy fast now way faster than when I got these speeds in the past but was using 2 15k sas in raid 0.

Hey Zero I was getting a lot of what seemed like timing out when trying to download some GG maps last night shortly after you left. It would bring up the download, stall, and then just disconnect me saying I didn't have the proper map installed (reformatted my computer to a ssd so I don't have the majority of gg maps -.-'). I actually don't think I successfully downloaded any maps or any of the .mp3 files, i just kept getting missing file disconnects.

Edit: I just get a Host_Error: Disconnected

I got a few of the new ZM maps last night and it worked flawlessly, probally 2-3 times faster on the download. I havent tried to go on GG since, Ill see if I get any errors.

I keep getting the message that I am missing map files on the WCS server. All options are set to allow downloads and maps are coming in fine from other servers. It seemed to download them fine, if a bit slower than some, before the changes...

It could be that some data was corrupted during the changes if you can tell me what files you have issues with I can replace them and that should solve the problem.

Please report all broken files here so I can fix :wtg:

I had noticed this on a few of the maps in the gg as well.

No wonder dloading files takes for ever atm.

Any chance OP can remove the "downloadurl" temp uintil its back up, cause as it is atm we can not dload files.
